"Of course I don't, it's me. Nevertheless I hope you have been treated well in my absence." He hugged Gigi gratefully, it had been far too long since their last encounter. "Oh I know you don't but, but I do... And if people would stop ruffling it, I would need to fix it."
A pointed look went to Minty with that last comment. And who would a Prince be if he did not greet a lady as she entered the room? He walked over and bowed to Evangeline slightly, taking her hand, bringing her over to where they were gathered. "Not at all my dear, the more the merrier. The afterparty is where all the fun happens."

Upon hearing this news Evangeline's face fell, "Oh.... I'm THAT late?" She asked, if only she hadn't tried to bake that cake. Tried being the operative word.
But according to the royal one this was where all the fun happened, so she couldn't have missed everything. "Well, d-did everyone have fun?"

"Isn't that a little.... besides the point?" Evangeline asked. She was devastated to miss it, why would he be pleased? He was terribly confusing. Evangeline heard Monster making, well, some kind of noise, she knew the voice at least. She turned and saw a blue mess in the corner. "Oh! Monster, are you.... are you alright?"
Someone certainly had fun it seemed.

That's boring, everyone's all dressed up. The afterparty is where you can really get down and have a good time, take off your clothes..." He trailed off, "Ball's are boring. Monster's ear twitched at the sound of the voice that meant the most to him in the world and immediately sat up, grinning ear to tired ear. "Evangeline! Oh man, the last few days were amazing! I was in an underwater castle, with mermaids! And pirates! I got to watch a coronation!" His little tail wagged a mile a minute as he told his fiancee of his adventures at the ball.

Minty slipped an arm around Xavier's waist, just enjoying the closeness, "I think panty cannons are more after-party territory. But I would double check what it's loaded it with. I think Cae put knives in there after the last time you congratulated her with it."
