A dance? The Prince could never stay too far away from a dance, and as he showed up it appeared he had arrived just in time. The Afterparty.
He surveyed his surroundings, before taking in his betrothed dancing rather romantically with the oh-so charming one. Not that it particularly bothered him, Xavier danced that way with a fair few.
At Charming's next set of words though, Prince couldn't stand by the sidelines any longer and walked over, tapping his finger on Charlies shoulder, "The only hard thing Minty will be getting is from me." He said, his eyes dropping to his fiancee's, taking in the hair, the dress, and appreciated every second. "Mind if I cut in?"

"Midi! Darling! I'm so glad you could make it!" Minty called from the dance floor, "Be with you as soon as I show this nerd how to dance.""Don't call me princess." Minty huffed. Like an expert (because she was, of course) Minty flexed and spun around Charming's waist and down his legs, kicking her skirts to keep them from entangling them both, until she spun out into an elegant landing on the floor, "Not what I'd call hard. Try again...""...next time, Charming." She grinned up at Xavier, "A real dance partner just showed up."

"It seems the lady has spoken."
Charlie helped Minty up off the floor and handed her over to Prince,
"Don't think this is over, princess. We'll dance again." Charlie, being down one dance partner, approached another likely lady who had only just arrived.
"May I have this dance?"

Now the pair were left alone Xavier pulled his soon-to-be bride (if they ever actually decided on a date, ever) close, his arm around her waist, holding her close as he took her other hand in his and they began to dance. It had been a while. "So, how was the actual ball? Don't mind that I skipped it, you know these things are just a regular Wednesday night for me... The afterparty is where the fun really happens."

"Oh, I know. The cobblers in your kingdom must live like your father, what with the wear and tear on dancing shoes." She snuggled up to her one-day-groom (as if they were going to pick a date. They were barely capable of proposing to each other in a timely manner), "It ended well. There was a bit in the middle where I was almost trapped in the fae realm forever, but clearly things worked out."

Midi Laughed and waved at Minty who seemed to have an abundance of suitors at the moment, "It is lovely to see you too gorgeous though I will catch you in a little I am sure." Never one to turn down a dance she turned toward the man who had just finished (though rather abruptly) dancing with Minty, "Of course you may. Though I am unsure I will dance as well as Princess over there." Midi explained honestly with a grin as she took his hand and went out to the dance floor. "Who do I have the pleasure of dancing with? You can call me Midi of course."

"My name is Charlie, although friends call me Charming. Can't imagine why."
Charlie grinned back at Midi as he claps an arm around her waist and took her hand in his,
"That's good though, I don't think I can handle having anymore rivals to dance with. I'm sure you have a style all your own, I look forward to learning it."

Minty was blissful, dancing with Xaiver. It had been a long time. But that didn't stop her from hearing the floating conversation from the other couple.
"Next person who calls me 'princess' is the first victim in a food fight."

"You're actually right. Cobbling is a very lucrative profession where I'm from." He grinned, his mind moving to their would-be wedding (it did take them a couple of years didn't it? Wedding for 2020 it is), he listened to Minty's description of the ball. "So like any other ball really, dancing, disaster, and dip."
Not that Prince wasn't glad Minty hadn't ended up in the fae realm, but he also wasn't too worried either, she had managed to get herself out of many a pickle before.
He spun her round quickly, and the pair came together again.

"Charlie.... Oh wow, yes. I can see why they call you Charming indeed." Midi had a way of unfortunately losing her "art-of-gab" filter every once in a while. And it seemed like today it would be completely missing.
Her other hand found it's way to charlie's shoulder and away they went with the music, grateful she had kept her heels on or else this would be a very challenging suitor to dance with, "If you mean stepping on your feet and having you dance us both around- yes. Certainly. A very clever way to dance."Hearing Minty's challenge- She laughed sticking her tongue out at the other girl, "Just you wait Ducky, I will get you after this dance."

"There was a coronation of the fall-court Queen, but otherwise, I'm afraid to admit you're right." She swung out and back into Xavier, her skirts lapping at their feet. The disaster thing ran round her mind, since she didn't think the Queen would let their nuptial day end without a ball or five (are you kidding me. I'll be dead. DEAD), "But there has to be an before party for an after party, and what's a little disaster if that's what it takes to dance with you?""You're on my list, Midi. You'd better be ready."

Noting Midi's struggles, he adjusted his height to one more comfortable to her. Being the wind had it's advantages when it came to dance partners.
"If you wish to dance on my toes, I'm happy to oblige. Although you seem to be doing well on your own."

"Melon, you better watch out. I have a meaaaan throwing arm when it involves sweets." "Grinning like a the little girl she was on the inside she very gingerly stepped up onto his toes until she realized he was a good couple inches shorter than before.
Eyes wide she was now staring right at Charlie's eyes. "How...did you do that?"

"I'm only a personification, since I'm not real, there's no excuse for me to be to tall to dance with. Unless I'm trying to get a leg up on someone."
Charlie lifted their left feet and pivoted around on their right, then set down their left set and repeated the process in mirror until they were twirling around the floor.
