Pasa laughs softly. "No he didn't... he actually took a bite... he didn't see me do it at all. Everybody else did though. So what kind of trick are ye going to do?"

*First, Rhea leads him to Kero's bed, where she teaches him how to short sheet*
There we go...now, more often than not, Kero sleeps in his cocoon..don't touch those, as they can hurt you...now, let's go over here...*Rhea leads him to the shelves of gems*....now, what say you swap these around? Sound like a good prank to you, considering he eats these as candy?

Passura gives a cautious nod. "As long as it doesn't make him sick, yeah... So we switch the colors around right? What does quartz taste like anyway? I don't see any of that up here. Can't be good, huh?"

*Rhea chuckles*
It tastes like flour, according to him....so let's switch around the colors...and no, we won't make him sick...he can't get sick from a crystal....they may taste bad, but he can eat all of them.

Passura scratches his head. "I don't know, Rhea... I was certain there were a few he couldn't eat, but I'm sure he wouldn't have them on this shelf so... Hey... while we do it... tell me how they taste, OK? I know rubies are spicy, right?" he says reaching up and switching the rubies and garnets. "Or is it the garnets... ye know... this gemstone would surely look pretty in a collar wouldn't it... against his dark fur."

*Rhea nods*
There's a few he can't eat, but he keeps them locked away in the Void. Garnets taste like dark red juices...and yes, they would be pretty against his fur...

The boy studies the stones carefully and smiles. "I think Em dug some of those out yesterday. Do you know anyone other than Kero who can cut and polish them for me. All the dragon did is throw them outside the cave on his debris pile. They aren't all good but some were really pretty."

*Rhea nods*
I'll take them to his brother, Hopian. He taught Kero how to work with metal and stone...he can cut and polish them for you. Now, we';ve swapped all the stones we need to...let's go.
*She takes his hand and leads him back to his room, where she drops the shield*
Now, just wait a few days, and I guarantee you'll have a laugh....he'll chomp one...and oh, the hilarity...

Pasa smiles with an eager nod. "Don't forget to find out for me what they all taste like. I bet he has something written somewhere in his office. He's kind of like that... documents everything, doesn't he?"

Hey, Pasa...I feel I should apologize...I'm very impressed that you made you own ink this morning...

Passura looks up from his copy work and nods. "Thank you, mes'sirrah. It's not the best ink though, so you were right. I didn't add enough salt to keep it from spoiling and I had not sour wine to keep it's color."

I see you found some, though...excellent. I'm very proud of you for taking the initiative there. I'm going to take a nap, then we'll all have some lunch...sound good to you?

"Sounds fantastic, mes'sirrah. Sleep well. Is Keva's head still bothering him? He was trying to talk to me and follow yer instructions this morning when some weird whistle blew... it distracted him and he tripped and fell... down... quite a bit actually. He said he wasn't hurt and he didn't seem like he was, but right after that he got an awful headache."

*Kero shrugs*
I don't know, honestly....my guess is he was doing his homework....I'll be up in about two hours...have fun, son.
*Goes to his room and lays down in his bed...squawking when he finds he's been short sheeted*
I am going to kill that apprentice of mine one of these days....
*Instead of sleeping, he goes over to his desk, to work on a amulet*

He half hears a whistle in the aethyr but as it is so common, he ignores it and continues his work, concentrating on getting the amulet just right so he can enchant it. Finally it is ready, but it is also lunch time, so he puts it aside and goes out to fix everyone a bite to eat. The sitting room s empty and the cave is quiet. No one arguing or fussing about. The quiet is like music to his ears
