Shadow looked up at Silver and glared right back at her. "I don't need your permission..." He hurried inside and sat at Lisaya's side hoping to see her smiling face. However, he found a rather sick looking woman. He immediately glared at the midwife who was drying the baby off. "What is wrong with her..! She looks like she is dying!"
The midwife shook her head and held the baby gently. It's vibrant green eyes stared out blankly trying to find a familiar face. "Sir... lower your voice..." She sat next to the woman and felt for her pulse; it was very weak. "Whatever magic you possess... this baby inherited it. Unfortunately, it doesn't agree with the mother..." She sighed and wiped the sweat off of Lisaya's pale face. The Black God is being cruel to such a kind woman...
Shadow's eyes stared at babe in her arms. He was the image him... except for the deep dark green eyes that stared at him. Shadow took the child into his arms and stared in wonder at the little thing before him. He looked human, but he was pale as the moon with jet black hair... He could feel the shadow inside of him.. and magic. But he looked up hearing the midwife's words. "Wait... are you saying... that...?"
The midwife shook her head. "This magic is beyond me... The Black God is calling her home..." She looked at the pretty face once before rising. She doubted the woman would wake... She maybe had an hour... And the man there looked dangerous...
Shadow held the little boy close to him. "She isn't going to leave me, damn it.." Shadow closed his eyes and sighed. Shadow magic couldn't hurt him... at least he thought... If he could absorb the magic into him, then at least he could put it through the mirror. "Silver..." The last thing he wanted to do was hand his son over to this elf, but he had no choice. "Take him... I have to get the shadow energy out of her before it kills her..." he growled with difficulty.

Abel raised an eyebrow at Rugen. "Prince Liam?" Since when had a prince been born? Suddenly, the monk's manners had returned when he realized who this man was. "Ah, excuse my rudeness. My name is Abel Marquise. You must be Count Rugen. I remember the masters speaking of you and king Helios." He stated.
(FINALLY!!! Some time to myself today. ; ; )

Her? What was he asking her for, not like the midwife could have been any better to hold his- she froze and exhaled at sigh. "Fine, but I'm doing this for Lisaya, not you." Being as gentle as possible, and fighting back to just grab the infant from his arms. She brought the child close to her but felt the pulsating magic that was radiating off the child. No wonder it had made Lisaya sick, not to mention that she had carried that thing inside of her. However the boy just looked up at her with dark green eyes that glowed. She almost sick to her stomach, bringing him away from Shadow and Lisaya. Maybe that would give her some breathing room.
April poked her head inside the room, seeing Silver holding the newly born Millardo in her arms. She chuckled at the thought of Milly's reaction when he knew she was there at his birth. Avoiding his gaze, she giggled softly to herself. She couldn't wait for him to realize he couldn't be here for much longer.

Shira laughed as she drove Arious up against the wall. "You curse me? Me? You are even incompetent enough to fight when you have no magic. Now if you would kindly expose a small bit of skin..."
Jasmine wiped her eyes and shook her head. "She... she's not coming back, that's just her body..." She clutched the amulet. "Sh-show him."
The amulet flashed, and the image of Shira lying pathetically on the floor, left arm bolted, appeared again. She was still crying. "Stop... make it stop... this isn't want I wanted... make it stop!" she sobbed.
Jasmine closed her eyes to the image. She couldn't stop shaking. Her heart felt like it was being ripped to shreds. "She... she took Arious and left," she managed to spit out. "Silver said it's just her body... b-but..."
Larken banged on the door. Jasmine needed to sit down, and he needed to explain things properly to Daine. "It's a long story, but apparently my sister has just been taken over by darkness. And if my suspicions are correct, someone is going to pay very dearly for breaking their promise."

Arious tried to fight back, but the force field she had up was keeping him flat against the wall. His muscles bulged as he strained to get away from her. "Damn... you..." he grunted as he tried to fight back. He was out of breath with the effort of trying to stop her. "I...won't...give..in..."
Shadow didn't have time to glare at Silver. He had his eyes closed as he focused on the shadow energy inside Lisaya. He called it to himself and away from plaguing her weak body. Slowly Lisaya's color came back as Shadow's skin started to turn blotchy with the shadow inside of him. The patched burned like hell, but it did not make him stop He would keep going until everything was gone from her pure body...
Veraldaine sighed as she waited there. She just didn't know what to say, really. But people disappearing and such... it didn't make her feel right... Not to mention that amulet... She'd seen it before, but couldn't put her finger on it. Nonetheless.. the fact that it talked made her feel like she was at square one again. She must really be flipping her wig...
Rugen made a slight bow as was customary of mages. "The prince was born almost two years ago. He is a strong boy." He turned seeing the beautiful portrait of a woman next to Lisaya's collection of portraits. There was a portrait of a pale blonde woman dress in creamy silk. Her eyes were a golden yellow, much like his. Below the picture, it read, 'Countess Cecilia Dechangy'.

Abel followed Rugen around the room, looking at the paintings and the names listed below them as he passed them. He froze, however, when he reached the name 'Cecilia.' "Who... is this woman?" He asked. There was no way the lady in this painting could be her...

"You will not be saying that shortly," Shira whispered, plucking Arious's knife from the ground and sliding one of his sleeves up. Just for fun, she traced his arm muscles with his finger. "Ah, yes... you will be a wonderful asset..." Her arm jerked, and for a split second she looked terrified. Then she was calm again.
Jasmine swallowed hard and pushed Larken again. "I-I'm fine," she lied. The image of Shira flickered out, and she pocketed the amulet. "We have to figure out what's going on. Maybe someone in the castle can tell us..."
Larken banged on the door some more. "Let us in!" he shouted. Then something occurred to him. "I just realized- Shira didn't have her sword in that image..." The pure fact that she didn't have her sword made him even more worried. If anything, Shira treasured her sword only second to the amulet. She had to be crazy to let it go.

(Silver: -growls softly- Me: Silver... Silver: -looks away-)
Silver had already made a seat far away from the two, still looking down at the mysterious child. "How is it that you can plague someone like Lisaya..." She whispered still holding it close. She could feel the coolness of his skin up against her arms. Was he going to be a burden to Lisaya if this continues on? Will his magic always plague her, making her ill enough to die? Did this child even deserve to live if it meant the death of her best friend? She glanced back over at Shadow, but kept the child safely secure in her arms again.
Moon looked down at the girl lying on the ground her arm bolted to the floor. His heart suddenly wrenched when he saw that. Tears almost formed when he thought of his late wife. Who was in such a position, in such pain? He slipped down from the tower he was in, and landed close by to them, trying not to frighten Daine. He noticed that another sandstorm was starting to stir.
Diness slowed when she reached the portrait room. Of course, in her youth she used to explore to this small sanctuary. She mingled among the portraits, and listened to the stories calling out to her. Of course, she never informed anyone that she would come here. Of course, she was sure Rugen knew, just... he would leave her alone. She was glad he gave her such freedom.
(Hmmmm, I wonder... what if...)

Darious bent over into his chest, purposefully looking for the old bottle he had in storage while she slipped into her dress. Why was she know after he had already seen everything? "How the hell did you managed to sneak your entire wardrobe into my office with me knowing about it?"
Vaati slipped the weights off his wrists. "It's fine, Opal. I'm not in much pain." He answered softly, though he knew he would need Opal to check on them later. As Opal helped him to his feet, he noticed the girl form the tree greeting him. Vaati bit his lips. "Who... the hell are you?"
"LIAM! Enough of this... this... this isn't you! Fight harder..." Seth muttered, slowly setting himself up at the base of the tree. A black dot appeared in his field of vision, making Seth lean his head back against the tree trunk. He must have hit his head when his body collided with the tree.

"I..." The girl frowned. She couldn't remember her own name. She just remembered running from a ruined village a few days ago, covered in burns. "I... I don't know," she admitted, rubbing a burn on her arm. "I can't remember..." Wait! Didn't that bow she had have something carved in it? She slipped it off her back and quickly located the carving: Miya. "Miya," she murmured, running her fingers along the letters. "Is that my name...?"

Arious glared at Shira still fighting her. "You... won't win..." He mutter watching the knife. The shadows around them were flickering with excitement that made made Arious nervous. He didn't like how this was going...
Shadow took a deep breath as the last of the shadow entered his body. Lisaya lay there breathing easily. Shadow stood shaking as he tried to control the shadow magic inside of him. It was pretty painful. Then he disappeared into the shadows trying to find the dark mirror.
The baby stared up at silver and gave her a little smile. It then tugged on her hair... quite hard.
Rugen looked at the picture a bit of sadness on his face. "She was a very troubled woman... But she was sweeter than any candy... and more gentle than a butterfly. She passed about 18 years ago...
Endymion sighed and headed down the stairs. He never imagined the day he would have to answer the doors to the palace. He warped to the doors and flung them open. "What do you want...?" He glared at Larken specifically then saw Veraldaine. She was lovely. He bowed. "My apologies, milady..." But his glance was still hostile toward Larken.
Veraldaine stared at Endymion and back to Larken. This place was full of strange people. Not to mention the dragon-man came back.... She stuck close to Jasmine, even if she was stalking nonsense to an amulet...
Trisiana laughed as she finished dressing. "Oh... You have your secrets... So I shall keep mine." She turned toward him and smiled. "Let's say it was fairly easy with a gift from... well..." She smiled knowing it was him who had given it to her in the future. "How about that wine...?"
Liam laughed and continued to advance on his shadow self. "Fight me Seth! You are just as powerful as I am! Let me see you use that strength!" He raised his hand and immediately a ball of magic started forming. "Are you too scared of your own power?"

Abel shook his head. "Kind? And gentle? Troubled, perhaps, but this woman can not be my mother." He thought. "I see. A coincidence then." He stated as he continued through the gallery.

Rugen followed after the man, curious. "Coincidence, how so?" Rugen was really tempted to read the man's thoughts. He might as well to clear up the things between them.

Abel stopped and turned back toward Rugen. "Because my mother was named Cecilia. Of course, kind and gentle does not fit her, considering she abandoned me at birth." He answered. As he finished admiring the paintings, Abel turned and exited the gallery, Rugen following behind him.
