@ Shogi Competition, Kagae's Table:
Kagae: TN 10, 1 Free Raise Wazuka: TN 5, 1 Free Raise
Wazuka would begin humming a little tune that Kagae didn't recognize, as the girl studied the 'battlefield'. All at once, she would change tactics, using her bishop and lances in a sudden aggressive move along Kagae's flank!
{Perception/Battle with 2 raises, 16 vs TN 15. Kagae's TN increased to 15, 1 Free Raise banked!}

Kagae attempts to react with an aggressive counter attack from his knights and pawns maybe even some back up from his bishops.

@ Shogi Competition, Kagae's Table:
Kagae, TN 15, 1 Free Raise Wazuka, TN 5, 3 Free Raises
Wazuka seemed to be getting giddy about some lucrative pieces she just captured, her eyes bright. She would immediately halt the advance, and begin to close in with other lance and rook along the center.
{Perception/Battle with 2 raises, 30 vs TN 15, 2 free raises banked}

Kagae observed the battlefield and pursued his counter attack convinced it would work hoping to capture some valuable pieces.

@ Shogi Competition, Kagae's Table:
Kagae, TN 15, 1 Free Raise Wazuka, TN 10, 5 Free Raises
Wazuka bit her fingertip as she studied the battlefield after that last move. He took her rook! She left it unguarded for only a single turn...
She would press on though, despite the loss of her loyal horseman! She had the advantage, she couldn't lose it now! She would continue to press against the center of Kagae's line, trying to batter her way in to the King.
{Perception/Battle with 2 raises, 31 vs TN 20; both raises banked}

Kagae begun wheeling his center line around to prevent it from being flanked too much and a hopefully strategic placement of that rook he just captured should help him turn the tide of this battle.
{5k3 Perception/Battle with 1 Raise Tn 20 used to increase Wazukas Tn to 15. = 27 }

@ Shogi Competition, Kagae's Table:
Kagae, TN 15, 1 Free Raise Wazuka, TN 15, 5 Free Raises
A few pawns would need to be sacrificed, but Wazuka would attempt to back off as much as she could, to give the cornered animal its space. She bit her lip as she examined the board thoughtfully. She would go to move her Generals up, to reinforce her attack.
{Perception/Battle with 1 Raise, 11 vs TN 20; Kagae gains a Free Raise}

Kagae would push from the corner he secured in hopes of breaking through Wazuka's now retreating line.
"This is turning into a real sea of a battle Wazuka-san" Commented Kagae.
{5k3 Perception/Battle with 1 Raise Tn 20 used to increase Wazukas Tn to 20 then using the free one to increase Wazukas TN to 25 = 14 vs 20 }

@ Shogi Competition, Kagae's Table:
Kagae, TN 15, 1 Free Raise Wazuka, TN 20, 6 Free Raises
And as Kagae would push, he realized that she had set up him, as she used her right side of the table to make a sudden and brutal assault into those pieces.
{Spending 1 Free Raise to bring TN back to 15 base, Raising once to bring Kagae's TN to 25; 39 vs TN 20}
"Yes, but this sea is swallowing up all your pieces, Kagae-san!" Wazuka bragged, positively beaming at her accomplishment.

Kagae realized that he had all but won this match fought with tooth and claw in an all out attack on all front in hopes of breaking free once again.
{5k3 no raises using my stored free raise to increase her tn to 25 = Just no.}
Kagae concedes the match to Wazuka without a complaint.

Seichiro let out a chuckle, and nodded in diagreement. "Only if you want. I'm a human, just like you, not just some random killing machine. What would you like to talk about? Maybe about yourself? Rokugan herself? Your or my clan? Many topics to talk about."

@ Shogi Competition, Kagae's Tournament:
As Kagae finishes the match, Wazuka literally jumps up from her seat, bumping the table and nearly knocking off the board and all the pieces. "Heeeeee! I won! I can't believe it!"
She would immediately redden slightly, and try her best to compose herself. "Ah! Good match, Kagae-san! Thank you for providing an excellent challenge!" Etiqutte roll of 20-10 = 10 to try to cover up her faux pas.
WINNER: Kitsuki Wazuka

@ Ceremonial Competition, Round 1:
First Check: Matsu Seichiro gains a Free Raise for his final roll!
"Our clans never have particularly interacted. The Lion wage War. The Phoenix wage Peace. There is little to discuss on the matter."
Since Seichiro did not take the initiative on pouring the tea, Sumi would do so, quietly and politely, making sure not a single drop would be spilled. She would take her own cup in hand, raising it to her lips and drinking slowly from it.
"Or perhaps, there's everything to discuss. Why are our clans so different, Seichiro-san?"
