You keep the number of dice your roll requires (usually your ring).
If you roll 5k2, you keep any two dice you want. If you roll 2k2, you keep both those dice. You can't lower your kept dice like that.
I'd let you Raise once to keep the damage from becoming lethal. If you ever want to change the outcome of what your dice give you, raises are the way to do it.

Denbe is hoping to encounter and defeat Zanzen. Probably even preferably soundly. But he's not planning to make it about revenge. He's just frustrated and mortified enough about his one-shot defeat that he feels the need to prove himself.

Yeah. Untrained rolls don't explode. Well, you may want to put your next experience point into Jiujutsu.

You'll be using a lot of full attacks. Use both raises to drop your opponent's TN to manageable levels....or so that's my advice
