The room fills with a smoke filled haze that gathers thickens and reforms just outside the doorway. An enormous black panther, obviously wounded, sits there and shakes is head. "Can't... come in..." it moans and collapses in place.

To Kero's surprise, no visible or audible alarms are going off, but there are shouts and the sounds of running feet are ringing throughout the temple. Bez's head comes up a few inches then falls heavily down to his paws.

"Think fast, brat..." the dark furred cat moans... or I'm a pin cushion and I'm in enough pain as it is."

**a more simpler solution would have been to have Shar invite him in.... rolleyes LOL wonder how she is going to explain this one away...**

The priestess drops to her knees in panic. "Morning Lord Save us!" she cries in panic.

Shar looks around and getting the nod from Kerobian and Hopian, she looks at the doorway where the dark cat is hanging on by the tips of his claws, begging someone... anyone to make up their minds.

"You... may... come... in..."

As soon as he crawls into the room, Bez collapses once again, but still he attempts to crawl to the bed Talesian is on, inch by painful inch.

Healer that she is, Sharmistra can contain herself no more, She runs to his side and tries to hold him down. "Be still, You just tear it open more..." she warns attempting to get him to lie still so she examines his wound. "Dear lord, You've been in a fight with another cat haven't ye?" she declares motioning for Kero and Hopian to help her carry him to a bed across the room from the tiny red lion.

Bez doesn't say a word, but gently and firmly pulls away and tries again to reach his mate.

It is insanity outside the clinic. People are running everywhere trying to find the source of the intrusion, but for some odd reason none of them seem to consider the clinic in their search, none that is except for a small balding young looking elderly vicar who comes to the door and peers in in curiosity and a great deal of trepidation.

Mica looks at the panther and shudders. "What attacked him? Is it still out there?" he says looking behind him fearfully, worried for the inhabitants of the village and his temple.

Shar looks up. "This is an old wound... at least the better part of a day... it was, in part scabbed over, though not treated..."

Taking advantage of her distraction, Bez makes a jump towards Talesian's bed, using the last of his strength, making it halfway across the foot of it. If he didn't look so pitiful hanging there, it would have been comical. He reaches out and tries to touch Tam, but he is just out of reach.

"Help me..." he growls mournfully. "Help me, damn it..."

The cat curls about the tiny lion with a tenderness that belies his size. He noses him gently and sighs. "What happened? I released him into yer care and look at him... I've only seen him this bad once in me life...."

Tes steps up with several towels and begins to hold it against the tears along Bez's neck while Shar digs out her instruments.

He looks up at her and blinks, then gives a soft rueful laugh. "So that's what ye look like... well, things make more sense now.... a whole lot more sense. So ye found her after all, brat... good fer ye... good fer ye..."

He nuzzles the tiny lion and sighs. "He didn't even try to call me..."

Bez sighs. "I pushed him too far... never realized he was growing away from me... never thought he'd be able to love someone else more than me... pride... it's stupid... blinds ye when ye need to see the most... only the world doesn't always go the way ye want it to... Doesn't even matter, we're still tied... I could free him a hundred times over and... and... he'd still be chained to me... I'm such a heel." sighs the cat dropping his head down next to Tam's. He flinches as Shar begins to clean the injury.

"This was a rather large cat that did this to ye. Is it still roaming about?" she asks worriedly.

Bez looks down at Tam and snorts softly through his nose. "Not any more he isn't. Not any more..."
