Xashowd laughed at that one. "Just an expression. No need to take it personally." He replied with a smile. Apparently she hadn't been fully asleep. She reminds me a lot of Darxian when I first met him. uncaring towards outsiders, and with an arsenal of snappy comebacks that would make a crocodile jealous Xashowd thought. If he ever got the chance, he'd try and introduce them. He wasn't sure it'd end well, but he'd try all the same.

Minty had been trying to sleep, emphasis on trying. No matter which way she turned, it felt like Daenes's laser glare was boring into her brain. Finally, she gave up and looked over at the elf, only to see Xashowd hanging over her like a frat boy with a drunk co-ed. She would have never thought that of him from the meeting they had had outside, but she supposed you could never tell.
She got up off the couch with Prince where she had been laying and shuffled over to Daenes, flopping down on the floor next to the elf. She figured she owed the Daenes for the favor she was doing. Minty fixed Xashowd with her best glare.
"My enemy is not your play toy."

-Her ears twitched- Lemme tell ya babe, ya don' wanna be playin' too much. Sometimes ya get alot o' luck. If ya start droppin' though, it's best ta back off the game for a bit. Pushin' through ain't gonna get ya a big win 'less ya can outwait the bad luck an' no luck.

"Because you're Gypsy's? Or Leviathan's?" Xashowd responded calmly. Though calm on the exterior, Xashowd realized what he just asked could set her off. It had just slipped out, he hadn't been aware until he'd spoken the words.
Outwardly he wasn't phased, and certainly not by that glare of hers. Internally, he braced himself for an explosion. He had a feeling he'd be making a lot more apologies to Lady Luck.

"Never suggested she was." Xashowd responded calmly, though he did file that Enemy info into his memory. But Play toy? Xashowd shook his head. His curiosity demanded he learn about Daenes' past and this Leviathan character. He had no untoward intentions for Daenes. Xashowd wasn't looking for a relationship.
After what happened to his fiance years ago, Xashowd didn't get in relationships. Ever. a pained expression crossed his face as the memory surfaced, but he shook it away. Now wasn't the time for that.

-She grins- Jus' givin' a word of advice from someone that plays with luck. It's used up jus' like anythin' else an' needs to get a "recharge". Gamblin' puts it to the tes' more, so it runs out quicker. Soun's like a plan, lettin' yourself take a break for a bit.

"You're clearly acting like you think she is. You keep bothering her despite some crystal clear signals she'd like you to leave her alone. I don't know what it's like where you come from, but when someone tells you to '******** off', it is not an invitation to braid each other's hair and gossip about boys. The only thing I see you caring about here is your feelings, and none of Daenes. Your curiosity, your interest, your strange, and quite frankly, some what creepy, need to converse with her and none of how Daenes feels." Minty was practically growling, "You probably don't mean to be, but right now you are acting quite selfish and rude. There are plenty of other people here willing to talk to you, so why not leave Daenes alone? As she clearly wishes to be instead of invading her personal space and privacy like some stalker?"
Minty had like the purple man well enough, but this sort of behavior was just down right intolerable. Even if Daenes was probably more likely to slit a throat than be appreciative, everyone deserved a right to their own privacy.

"That is none of your business nor concern." She barely manages to get the words out through clenched teeth, her whole body tense and trembling. Rage and blood lust was bubbling in her mind and she was desperately trying to control it, her eye shut again to hide the hellish glow that had started up.

Xashowd sighed. One step forward, two steps back... He just couldn't win today. First he goes berserk, then he pisses off Daenes even more than before. Xashowd's voice deepened, a portion of his anger rising to the surface...anger at himself. "Believe me, if I could rid myself of my curiosity, I would've done so long ago..." Xashowd walked to another area of the room, his anger and hatred at his own persistent curiosity emanating from him in waves.
He briefly considered taking his Scythe to his own skull.
