"Better feed them to Bez." says Tam with a saucy wink. "I won't be needing any.

But just as Tam digs into it, a tiny wail from beside him interferes. He puts the bowl on the floor by his feet and scoops up Ari, starts to position her to feed her when he sister wakes up as well, equally as hungry. He looks at Bez and sighs. "Can I have that pillow back?" he begs with a sour laugh. "And I could use a little help here..."

*Kero chuckles, slipping some pillows behind the bard...and helping Tam with Mara*
However...my help comes with a price, Talesian....I caught those oysters myself...so you need to eat them...

Bez snorts softly through his nose. "A terrible waste of oysters iffin ye ask me. He's just going to crash on the bed tonight and snore his way until dawn... well he's going to try and snore his way until dawn... iffin he gets more than two solid ours of rest, it will be a major miracle."
Tam flashes him a tired grin. "Can ye blame me?"
His dark haired mate shakes his head in negation. "Actually I'm in amazement ye can think on yer feet at all, dear heart."
Keva frowns. "Tam... why not morph? Go fox... like Ma used to do. It has to be easier."
"But the babies..." protests Tam.
Keva sighs. "The babes will take whatever form you take.... didn't you know that? At least that is what I was reading this morning. It was good ye didn't do it while they were developing but right now their cellular structure is fairly ingrained. I wouldn't go avian though iffin I were ye... ever see a pair of robins dealing with hatchlings... Iffin ye think yer tired now."
Tam looks at Kerobian. "Do ye think it's safe?" he asks worriedly.

DNA doesn't usually change with a shift...I'm one of the rare exceptions to that rule...so if ye shift to a fox, they'll still get whatever nutrients yer giving now...just don't shift to something silly, like a flying spaghetti monster, or an invisible pink unicorn.

Tam nods and looks at Bez. "Ye don't mind?" he asks softly.
Bez smiles fondly at him. "Mind, why shoudl I mind... if it makes things easier for you, then try it, dulcha. At least ye'll be able to feed them without having to be propped up like... oh like I don't know what... especially iffin they change with you... Haven't I told ye enough times already... It isn't what ye are, love... it's who ye are."
Tam thinks on this for a time, then nods. "Could someone come gets these hungry monsters for a tiny bit while I shift?"
After the two protesting babies are pulled away, he stretches, then curls up, flashing Kero and Bez a smile and begins to morph into the familiar form of a pure white snow lion. Bez takes Mara and places her down at Tam's side and steps back. At first nothing happens, she just lies there and cries, then as Tam nuzzles her worriedly, her tiny fingers begin to shorten and sprout hair, pulling back into a pair of small black paws... once the transformation is done she lies there, mewing pitiably, a tiny coal black cub with one white back foot. Tam breathes a sigh of relief and looks at Emnast who is holding Ari. The small dragon frowns a little, but he carries the baby over and places her beside Tam next to her sister. Ari quietens almost instantly and begins to root about for Tam's milk, morphing almost instantly into a coppery gold cub.
"See." says Keva knowingly. "I can't say ye'll get much done, but ye'll at least get some rest. Just tuck them in with ye and let them go at it."
Just then one of Ari's back legs manages to push Mara away, causing the dark cub to squall like she'd been savaged even though everyone could see she was perfectly f ine.
"Well... maybe ye better seperate them a tiny bit and give them each a little more space." says Keva sheepishly tip toeing from the room.

Tam sighs with relief, not having to hold the younglings as he murses them has taken a load off his back.
Bez chuckles and slides a thick blanket over the sleepy lion, leaving the babes free so that they can shift about and snuggle close. "Sleep, dulcha... I'm sure no one will mind yer taking up the couch fer one night... anyway."

She needs her beauty rest....although I'm afraid chapter one will have to be postponed...and It's after your bedtime, Pasa...although if you still want to have a talk with me, we can most certainly sit on the mountaintop and talk.

Passura hides a yawn behind a pout then grins sheepishly. "Perhaps some other time, mes'sirrah. I'll need to get up early to wash the dishes so I better get some sleep now. But I think Keveka would like to talk to you."
Keva is sitting at the table still, openly staring at Tam. He shakes himself and turns to Passura. "Why would I want to talk to Uncle Kero?" he asks in a puzzled voice.
Passura jumps to his feet and carries his dishes to the sink. "So you can find out what was supposed to be in chapter one." he retorts with a grin. Something tells Kerobian that Pasa knows far more about the birds and the bees than he lets on.
"What the... you little stinker..." crows Keva jumping down from his chair and chasing after the boy. The sound of their laughter echoes back into the living area.
"Shall I stay here and keep an eye on things?" asks Emnast hopefully.
Bez shakes his head and suddenly where there was a dark hair rough cut warrior now stand a rather large night dark panther. "No need..." he rumbles, curling up aroung his family. "I can do it... though, Kero... I wonder... ye wouldn't have any of that absorbent material yer master left behind would ye? It will go a long way to keeping things clean around here if I can put it under them."

I still have some left over...my master needed a new diaper....*He pitches forward suddenly, as if he had been soundly thwacked upside the head*...or maybe not....*Twists his hands and chops a piece of the stuff off, pulling it out of the Void and layering it under the sleeping trio*...There we go...I shall now lay here and hope my headache goes away...damn, that old scale is strong...
