Talbot continued crying quietly into his hands, and didn't respond to what Arron said. All he could do was apologize and lean down to rest his head on his lion friend. It was as if he'd emotionally destroyed himself.Atticus growled softly, almost sounding as though he were humming. He did so in an attempt to calm Talbot down, and only stopped when he felt the knight put the rest of his weight onto him as he cried himself to sleep. With no sound after that, he began to walk back toward the workshop.

Arron would follow & would get Talbot to bed, before passing out himself. He would be out for sometime.

Atticus stayed with Talbot, getting some much needed rest himself. He'd been worked to near exhaustion by that woman, and it showed. As the sun rose, Talbot woke up and buried himself deep in blankets. He didn't want to face the world, and most definitely did not want to face Arron or the woman named Snow.

Unfortunately, Talbot may not have been able to go back to sleep thanks to a certain mechanic's snoring. The more tired he was, the heavier he slept, & the heavier he slept, the worse Arron snored.

Talbot heard Arron's snoring, but that was not what kept him up. Instead, he was beating himself up in his mind, digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole. He felt that he would never forgive himself.Atticus got annoyed that no one seemed to be waking up, so he stood and let out a loud, ferocious roar.

The roar made Arron nearly leap from the bed, still half asleep. Unfortunately, thanks to the low ceiling on the about the lofted bed, Arron's head smacked soundly against it. He yelped & rubbed his head looking at Atticus. "...W-Was th-that necessary?" he asked the beast indignantly. Arron's kind demeanor was lost when woken up suddenly.

Atticus lied back down, basically saying "Well it worked, didn't it?".

He sighed & got up to make breakfast. Arron used some of the meat that Talbot had caught to make hearty breakfast.

Atticus sat up and started to nudge the bundle of blankets that Talbot had nested in. He nudged lightly with his nose at first, then started to puts his big paws on the knight."Please go away, Atticus...." Talbot said quietly beneath the blankets, "I... can't talk with you right now. I'd prefer it if you acted as though I don't exist right now...."

After sometime, Arron had finished making breakfast. Kneeling down by the pile of blankets with a plate, he gently patted Talbot. "Y-You need to-to eat..." he said softly.

"Please... stop treating me so kindly...." the knight replied quietly. He tugged the blankets closer to himself. "Treat me... as you did yesterday. When I was insulting you and trying to end your life...." he added.

He paused before setting the plate down & grabbing Talbot's form. He pulled him into a tight hug. "N-Nothing happened yes-yesterday." he said softly.

"Stop... let me go..." he weakly pushed against Arron a little, voice broken. "I... hurt you. I aimed my blade at you. I even.... plunged it through you. I'm not worth your time or kindness. I'll leave as soon as I'm able..."Atticus growled softly, then got up on the couch beside the two of them and curled around them. He hated to see his friend this way.

Arron was like Atticus. He too hated seeing the knight in such a state. "T-Talbot... y-you are my-my friend. Y-You will always be-be my friend." he said, "Wh-What happened yes-yesterday was an-an accident."

"How can... you both forgive me... so easily?" Talbot asked, close to breaking down again. He looked up from within the blankets, expression incredibly distraught and confused. "Why don't you hate me? It would be better if you just hated me..."
