"Michael, no. You cannot. Another life cannot be at risk."
Zelda felt as if she were about to faint. Giving her sister up like this! The feeling of helplessness came over her, and she'd promised herself those days were done. Memories of being locked up in Ganondorf's castle flooded into her mind, and she shuddered. She looked at Link, remembering when he saved her.
"Midna is right." She choked out.
Mona dealt with Sovek, pulling him aside. "Sorry, kind of in the middle of something. We're in Hyrule."

Michael was about to object to ignoring his mission, but thought better by the way Zelda looked. He sighed and went back to his lifeless, cold look that had become the norm since Tenebre's torture. He noticed what he recognized to be similar to the enemies he fought, and got into a battle stance.
"State your name, what you are, and your objective. Lastly, are you friend or foe?"

Sarri leaped to her feet, shocked at Michael's willingness to go himself. "Y-you can't!" She bit her lip and fearfully gazed at Michael. She vividly remembered him looking at her through broken eyes. "Tenebre will only hurt you again." She said quietly. "If anything, I should go. It's my duty-"
"It's your duty not to get killed, Sarrianna." Link said softly, his mind turning quickly, processing all that was going on. He sighed. "You are the bodyguard of both Zelda and Miku, but you can't be in two places at once."
Sarri looked at him in the most peculiar manner, then she spoke slowly. "Link, could I ask a favor of you?"
"You're not going to ask me about teaching you to swim now?"
"No!" She fervently shook her head. "This is not the time. I want you to watch over Zelda, Sunoka, and Midna. I-" She looked around sadly. "I need some time to myself to recollect what's left of my common sense." With that she walked away to find a small patch of grass in the nearby garden.
Link watched her go, silent and turning over her words in his mind. He looked at Zelda and sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"She's hiding something. She's always got common sense. There's something that happened that really shook her." It's so unlike her to just... go by herself like that...

Duo stopped pacing and looked at the girl. She had a good point. Why did I save her? I end lives in seconds.. yet I took hours to save hers... but why? Duo looked at the girl. He had even offered to heal her blinded eyes. "....I.. don't know... I felt..." he trailed off. Felt? he couldn't feel anything... he was emotionless... or at least.. he was supposed to be. Was it possible...?
Minda watched silently. She didn't know what to say. She had some pity for Zelda's sister, but all and all, there were losses during time of battle. You just had to accept that. Just because someone is royalty doesn't mean they are free from misfortune...

Sunoka waited for Duo's answer, though she already knew it. She stood up and took a step closer to sugest something. "Love?" She tilted her head a bit. She knew good and well that 'love' was the answer, but what she didn't know, was why Duo couldn't say it. The girl pushed the question again. "Did you feel love when you saved me?" She asked calmly.

Zelda shifted positions to make her leg a little more comfortable. "You're right, Link." She said solemnly. "I just... She would... I want... Look at me. I can't even form a coherent sentence. I feel like we're giving up, letting Miku die. It seems to be the only choice, though...
"And Link. Sarri's been through a lot, just like all of us. Let her have some space for a bit, we all have our ways of coping with something like this. For now, let's just go to the medical wing. We can retrieve her in a little while, okay?" Zelda's vision began to blur slightly.

Something fet as if it stabbed him in the chest. He couldn't stand that word... He clutched at his chest. "...impossible... There is no way.. that I, Duo, Master of the Shadows... could possibly fall in lo... lov..." He couldn't say it. Pain encased his whole being. What was wrong with him? "Sunoka..."

Sunoka tilted her head to the other side. "... Yes?" she felt a little uncomfortable now. Why was Duo acting as if he was in complete pain? It was just a word, right? She took a step back in fear that he might try to harm her. The word 'love' really seemed to harm him, even if he didn't speak it himself.

Duo gritted his teeth. There was no way that he could have let that happen to himself. He wouldn't et it happen... yet... something in him told him that he didn't want to fight the emotion. "Tell me.. when one is... takes parrt in such an emotion... what does it feel like? Have you ever felt it?" He took her hand to keep her from backing up. He must know.. If he was in love... surely he would show it? He closed his eyes. Could it still be possible to have such emotions, even if he did rip his own heart out? He thought fillig it with shadow and darkness would cure him of such weakness...

Sunoka sighed and thought to herself. How was she going to answer such a question? "It's... well... It's hard to explain... But when you're in love with someone, you feel happy just to be near that person..." She smiled and tilted her head down toward the ground. Duo made her feel that way, or at least, when he wasn't trying to force her into anything. The girl straightened her head back up to face Duo again. "... Yes... I have felt that way... around you..." Sunoka felt her cheeks turn pink when she admitted her feelings.

Duo shook his head in disbelief. "You mean... you... felt like that over... me?" He couldn't believe it. He hadn't even recieved such feeling from his own mother who scorned him. He slowly got up and took her hands. "I do not deserve such a thing... your feelings are wasted on a useless shadow like me.. I am unable to return such affection..." He cosed his eyes. HOwever, he still saw her standing before him. He couldn't keep his mind off her. But if what he said were true, why did he hesitate? Why couldn't he slaughter this woman ike any other he had killed? What made her so special to him. She was able to him... yet he was the blind one. He was blind to the truth....

Sunoka tilted her head torward the ground. "... I think you deserve it..." A thought ran through her head that made her heart pound. Perhaps Duo would shut his mouth and accept his feeling if she... kissed him. Her face turned extremely red when she continued to think about it. Then, without think, Sunoka reached forward and pressed her lips agaist his.

Duo was about to protest, when he suddenly felt her lips against his. Was she... kissing him? He couldn't believe it. Itseemed like body then became alive. His arms wrapped around her as he returned the kiss. There was something racing in his chest. Whatever it was, it did not matter. She truely loved him... Nothing else would make her do such a thing. He didn't want that moment to end. There seemed to be something floating inside him... and he didn't want the feeling to stop. Perhaps I have been... wrong... Have I just been blocking myself out from such feelings? telling myself I was incapable? Nothing else can explain what I am feeling...That is it.. I was TAUGHT to be emotionless... I never had my emotions taken away. I simply ignored them and eventually forgot what they felt like.

Sunoka slowly pulled away from Duo and smiled. Her face was still a bit red, but that was beside the point. "... Duo, I-... I love... you..." She hid her head, afraid that he might harm her for kissing him. The girl wasn't going to run though. She was afraid Duo might do something, but she didn't want to run away from him. She loved him too much for that.
