CindermoonCindermoon sighed as Softpaw was gien to Thunderflight. She had really wanted to mentor the kit but Silverstar must have had a reason. Softpaw! Softpaw!" Cindermoon chanted for the young apprentice. The deputy jumped slightly as Silverstar's tail touched her shoulder. She calmed as she heard Silverstar's voice. Cindermoon nodded. Yes, I'd would like that," she mewed. The dark gray she-cat stood up and flicked her ears toward Fadingkit. She could hear the small kit buried in the shadows of the camp and she sighed. Fadingkit had always been a shy one, but it had only gotten owrse when the clan had found her father, Foxclaw, murdered on the border between them and NightClan. She's about three moons now, isn't she? She'll be an apprentice soon and I want to speak with Silverstar about a mentor for her. ThorThor nodded and preshed close to his daughter. He was so happy the clan had allowed him to join so he could be with her her. He feltpride overwealm him as silverstar announced that Thunderflight would mentor Softpaw. Thor didn't really understand what a mentor did but he could tell it was a big deal so he was very proud of his daughter. He smiled and his blue eyes glowed even more.

[Moonpaw cheered for Softpaw along with her clanmates.]
"Congratulations Thunderflight! Warrior and now an apprentice too? Will we ever have time to catch up?" she laughed contentedly.
"I can't wait though so please tell me everything! There's no time to lose! Also no holding back, tell all!" she gushed easily.
[Glancing at Softpaw, Moonpaw was sure that she could wait a few more minutes.
Besides, who wants to clean out the elders' bedding anyway?
Blinking apologetically to her, she turned her attention back to Thunderflight.]

___________________________________________ [Silverstar nodded and brushed her friend's shoulder with her tail tip, getting up.]
"Then let's go!" Silverstar meowed enthusiastically.
[She and Cindermoon padded through the forest, her jaws open for scents of prey. She spotted a raven pecking among the ferns and crept forward, quickly and lightly. She pounced, ending the raven's life quickly. She carried her catch tp the roots of a willow tree, burying it.] _________________________________________

[My head reeled. I was completely surprised that I was getting an apprentice. I nodded to everyone who congratulated me, nodding my head absently, eyes wide, as my mind tried to sort things out. I turned to Thor, grinning, and blinked.]
"Dad," I said, knowing he didn't quite understand what was happening, "I've just been given an apprentice. My job is to teach her the ways of StarClan and the warrior code, as well as hunting and fighting."
I blinked and said, slightly amused, "Perhaps you could join our training as well!"
As I purred with joy, I turned to Moonpaw and said, "Wait, do you mean the journey?"

"Besides, to find your father on the way must've been so amazing. Were you happy?" she said curiously tilting her head.

CindermoonCindermoon smiled as Silverstar brought down a bird. the deputy pricked her ears as she smelled a rabbit. Shecralwed through the clearing until she smelled the rabbit only a few tail-lengths away. Cindermoon paused for a second before bounding forward. The rabbit took a few leaps forward but Cindermoon was too quick for it. Wiht a swift blow, the rabbit fell limp and Cindermoon buried it next to Silverstar's catch. The she-cat took a deep breath before mewing, "Silverstar, I wnat to tal with you about fadingkit." ThorThe gray tom didn't understand why a young she-cat would be forced to learn so much so the tom just shrugged. At the moment, StarClan seemed ot be just a myth to him, a myth used to mae little kits listen to their elders or so a cat could understand why a pond rippled in a certain way. Although, Thor wondered why those things even mattered, couldn't these cats think for themself?

[Moonpaw shook her head fully understanding.
She blinked sincerely and called after her..]
"I'll be waiting!"
[Turning away from the pair Moonpaw padded slowly away.
Seeing something out of he corner of her eyes she hopped up on her two backlegs to investigate.
"It's only a leaf.." she murmured pawing at it as it slowly spiralled to the ground.
[Moonpaw was still accustomed to acting as a kit.
She didn't think those tendencies would ever leave her.
Falling back to all fours, she sneaked a look at her paw.
Four neat little stripes cut through her white fur.
Glancing down at it made her feel as if she had control of the power, perhaps she could call on it by her means..
Excitement mounted in her chest as she padded to the medicine cat den to experiment.]

CindermoonCindermoon sat down and curled her tail around her paws. "Well, I'm sure most cats know by now that Fadingkit is very scared and timida dn she's almost an apprneitce now. I've been able to talk to her a few times and she's always talking about how the cats hate her and how she'll never suceed at anything. I know it's not my place to make decisions or anything but I think she should have a very good, understanding mentor, like you Silverstar," cindermoon mewed carefully, hoping hse wans't being too forward.

Clearing my throat, I said, "Ah...alright. Let's go."
[I padded forward gracefully, when I really wanted to jump off in joy.]
