The problem with the Vampire Hunter D books, is that it takes them forever to translate them from Japanese. gonk

I KNOW!
I also liked um the movie and book by Anne Rice - Interview with the Vampire!
That was good

And I'm currently reading Blue Moon - Laurell K. Hamilton - Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series

Anne Rice is one of my favourite authors, I've read all the Vampire Chronicles and I love them xd
I've also read alot of the Anita Blake series..I liked them at first but as the series drew on I stopped reading them sweatdrop
I'm also a fan of Terry Pratchett.

Good book. It takes awhile to get into the major plot but it's still good.

I get to read the following:

-The World's Religions
-The human Web
-On Writing Well
-Best American Essays
-Waiting for Snow in Havana

The only one I'm excited about is Waiting for Snow in Havana

Plays tend to be fun, what plays?

I wanted to read Kite Runner, Wicked, the second of the Abarat series, and a couple other books, but I'm thinkin' I won't have time. I started The World's Religions today. I'm so proud. It's the first week of summer and I'm reading already! xp

I'm into fantasy novels, in particular the works of Garth Nix. I've only read the Abhorsen Trilogy, 3 out of the Keys to the Kingdom Series and about 1/3 of The Ragwitch. I'm also into manga and have read all the Azumanga Daioh managa, Chrono Crusade Vol 1 and 2 and Megatokyo Vol 1 even though the latter is not really proper manga as it's done in left-to-right format. 3nodding

I've read the Abhorsen Trilogy and I thought it was pretty good but I prefer Phillip Pullman...I think his books are better written or possibly aimed at an older audience..I don't know..but hte Abhorsen Trilioy was ok for a quick entertaining light read 3nodding

I've read the Northern Lights and 1/2 of Subtle Knife but I found it too complicated-there was too much science involved for me lol xd . I prefer Necromancy and ancient evils(Orannis the Destroyer kicks a**!) to conscious particles which respond to thought. I agree with you in that His Dark Materials are aimed at an older audience whereas for the Abhorsen Trilogy, I'm right in the middle of the age bracket
