Amber did not back down when he turned to glare at her. She looked just as resolute as ever. "It's the same thing." She protested. "You were practically choking the guy." She gave the guy on the floor one last glance then followed Victor out the front, followed by Brenda, Zack, and Renee. Everyone but Renee passed the breathalyzer test. She was led off by the police, looking furious. Amber walked right past Victor without giving him, or anyone else, a glance. "I'm going home."
Ari just smiled until he had finished talking. "I wouldn't have started it in the first place, but no. I don't think I would." She put a hand under one of his arms, helped him to his feet, and led him over to the chairs. Letting go of him so he could sit down, she stepped back to take another look around. "Not to sound rude or anything, but do you have any sentimental attachment to this, er, house?"

Victor heard Amber's statement, and just kept going in the direction he was heading. Once out of sight, he resumed tracking Amber, watching her to see where she lived, and basically what her habits were. He stuck to the shadows, keeping well behind her. She is very stubborn, but there must be some reason I was assigned to her. One problem might be some of those friends that we were with earlier. Victor thought, as he moved from his spot, watching Amber the whole time.

Sighing as he was helped into a chair, the young man, due to habit, ran his pale fingers through his dark hair. "Thank you." he said politely, leaning back slightly. "And I've never lived anywhere else." His voice was calm and rather nonchalant, though there was a hint of stubbornness in the man's tone. "Of course, I'll probably be out in a few weeks. Can't exactly pay the ever-so low payments on the house, so the bank's reclaiming it soon." Shugging almost uncaringly, the youth looked up and smirked slightly.
"So, you're here to look after me, make sure I don't cut myself or get depressed, and make sure I don't die, right?" he asked amusedly, ears perking at the sound of an ambulance. 'Three guess where that's going, and two don't count...' he thought almost smugly.

Clasping her hands behind her back as she strode around the room, Ari smiled to herself. "You're welcome." She replied brightly, but her face fell slightly when she heard he'd lived here all his life. His parents must have been very poor. She felt a little sorry for him, for having to live in such conditions for so long. Actually, now she felt the urge to ask him about his parents. It didn't seem like anyone other than him lived here. She resisted, deciding to ask another time. "Yes, I am. Because if you die, I die as well. I'd rather not cease living any time soon. If you can call what I have, a life, anyhow." She added under her breath with a little shrug of the shoulder. "So, how much do you know about all this? I need to know so I can fill in the blanks, if there are any."
Amber didn't pay attention to anything around her, besides when she had to stop to wait until she could cross the street at intersections. Her face was blank and almost completely unreadable. This earned her a few stares from others, and calls of "Hey, are you alright?" from people she knew. She just shrugged or mumbled something incoherent. It only took a few minutes to get back to her house, which was a little, white two story home with a driveway and a nice lawn that her mother took great pride in. "I'm home!" She called halfheartedly as she stepped through the front door swinging it shut behind her then hanging her jacket up in the closet.
Her mother poked her head out from the kitchen, drying her hands on a towel. "You're home early. Did something happen?" She seemed bored.
"It was a half day." She lied as she started up the stairs. Her mother blinked then disappeared around the corner again. Glancing sideways at her father, she saw that he was sitting on the couch and yelling at the television, as always. He didn't seem to have noticed she'd come home. Amber sighed and continued on up to her room, where she tossed her backpack into a corner and dropped onto the bed, face down. After a few moments of smothering her face into her pillow, she turned her head to the side to stare out the window. It was snowing.

Well, now I know where she lives. I may as well introduce myself to her parents. Victor said, as he calmly walked up the pathway leading to the door. He took one hand out of his pocket and rapped lightly on the door, before running his fingers throug his hair and placing the hand back in his pocket. Now, I hope this works out. I wonder who I am going to masquerade as this time? Boyfriend would be too sudden. I guess I'll just be some random friend they didn't know she had.

"Amy, get the door, will you?" A woman's voice called from inside, and was replied to with a groan. "Amy?" The voice sounded reproachful.
"Fine! I'm getting it! Eesh." The door opened to reveal a girl who was evidently very irritated that she'd been forced to do such a time wasting thing as open a door. She looked as if she could be Amber's twin sister, if it weren't for the difference in age. She was only home so early because the high schoolers had a day off. "Who're you?" She squinted at him suspiciously. "You arn't selling anything, are you? We arn't buying."

Victor shook his head. "No. I am not selling anything. Do I really look the type?" Victor thought. He had spiky silver hair and a silver coat with a pretty high collar. He really didn't think he looked like a salesman.
"Anyways, I am here to visit Amber." Victor said, his voice calm, like it always was. He quickly ran his fingers through his hair, as he looked past the twin and into the house, before looking back at the twin.

"I guess I just figured you were some collage student saving to travel abroad." Amy shrugged, then glanced over her shoulder at something out of Victor's line of vision. "Alright, c'mon in. She's upstairs pouting." She stepped aside to let him come in.
"Who is it, Amy, dear?" A woman stepped around the corner. She was actually very pretty, but she looked tired, and it didn't do well for her looks. When she saw Victor, she looked a little taken aback by his appearance, but recovered herself quickly. "Oh, hello there."
"Some friend of Amber's." Amy answered, shut the door behind Victor, then hurried up the stairs. "I'll be on the phone if you need me." She called from the second floor to her mother, who had turned to go back to the kitchen.
Up in her room, Amber had heard what her sister said and frowned. "Don't tell me... He followed me here." She mumbled to no one in particular, pulling herself into a sitting position. "Maybe if I'm busy he'll go away." She grabbed her backpack, stepped quickly over to her desk, and dumped her books onto it. Grabbing a pencil, she opened one at random and began halfheartedly working at her homework.

"Um, hi. I'm Victor, nice to meet you." Victor said, as he walked over nearer to Amber's mother. "I'm a friend of Ambers, and I decided to call on her. If it is a bad time then I'll leave." Victor said, his voice polite. If she tells me it is a bad time, then it won't be good for me. I have to find out what is truly bothering Amber. I know her friends aren't the greatest, but she seems to have a few that are really her friends, not just a bunch of drunks and partiers. Victor thought.

"I'm sure your life is at least a bit better than mine, though, that's not saying much." he said, making a face and laughing lightly. "And all I know is that, supposedly, you're supposed to be a Vampire, cursed by the gods or something to protect me and help me with my problem. There are others like you, at least, one that I know of. Ever heard of a guy named Victor? Kinda moody, silver hair?" Smirking slightly, Senn closed his eyes momentarily, recalling the conversation he'd overheard between Amber and the other Vampire. "That's about all I know at this point. You're supposed to 'help' me with my 'problems', as he is supposed to be doing with Amber." he mused, rolling his eyes open as he spoke.
Blinking, Senn laughed at himself. "I'm sorry; I was too busy bleeding to remember to introduce myself." Straightening and offering up a bandaged arm slowly, the young man offered a small smile. "Senn. It's nice to meet you," he stated politely, "I hope." came his calm voice, a hint of amusement in the ever-tranquil tone.

Amber's mother smiled kindly, but looked slightly uncertain. "It's nice to meet you too, Victor." She glanced sideways at her husband who was to concentrated on the football game to be paying much attention to anything else. "It's quite alright. She's up in her room. Just go right up the stairs. It's the first door on the left."
"Yeah, well, better in some ways and worse in others." She said with a shrug. "Anyway, yes. That's the gist of it. I am indeed a vampire. I've been cursed because I did something that was... pretty bad. I'll, er, skip the details. Yes, there are others like me that were assigned to this town. Five others, in fact." Arianna tapped her chin for a moment, thinking. "Victor? I think I might've heard of someone with that name. I think he was a maniac, or something. He's here? Should be interesting..." She added, speaking more to herself than anything. "Anyway, yes. I've been assigned to you because you have some problems that I can help you with. If I don't, I'll be sent to hell. I can't bite you unless I get permission first because you've been given purification powers to send me to hell if I do. So, basicially, if I mess up in any way, I go to hell without a chance of perole. Simple enough." She seemed rather uncaring for someone who was talking about going to hell, but she was just skilled at hiding her emotions. During most situations, anyway.
"I've already told you my name, so it's... nice to meet you, too, Senn." Arianna took his hand lightly, being cautious of his injury. She didn't mention that she already knew his name, figuring it would seem a tad awkward. "I'm probably not what most people imagine a vampire of being. You know, the whole 'grave, monotone, uncaring, and aristocratic' thing. It's just too boring."

"Thank you." Victor said, with a nod of his head. He made his way up the stairs slowly. Well, the mother seems alright. The father gets pretty immersed in footbal games, that's all I know so far. Victor thought, as he reached the top of the stairs. He knocked lightly on Amber's door, wondering if she would actually come and answer it, or if she would try and ignore him.

"Indeed it is." Senn said quietly, lips quirking up in the slightest of smiles. "But then, it's better to be different than to follow the wrong crowd, ne?" Shaking his head at her list of hell damning activities, the young man chuckled slightly. "Oh, I won't be sending you to hell any time soon. Why would I do that to the only person who's willingly talked to me in..." Trailing off, the youth thought, blinking and smirking sheepishly. "I can't exactly remember." Making a face, he pushed himself shakily from his chair, faultering a few steps before straightening and stepping heavily to the beat-up refrigerator.
"Want anything?" he asked, distaste eminant in his voice. "I know you're a vampire and all, but I've no idea if you enjoy our human foods. But then..." He waved a hand idly inside the cooler, "I'm not exactly stocked on much at the moment." Making a face, he closed the door, leaning up against the fridge with a sigh, though a slightly teasing smirk and tone of voice as he spoke. "I'd let you have a drink," he said calmly, laying a finger on his neck, "but as you can see, I'm a bit at a loss for my essance, so I'd have to take a rain check on that one."

(( I'm sorry for the late replies, you two. I've been playing Runescape. >.> ))
"Who wazzat?" Amber's father heaved himself up from the couch.
"Just another one of her friends." Her mother propped her hands on her hips and scowled at the staircase once Victor was out of sight. "Honestly! At this rate, she'll turn out to be like her brother. I just hope my darling, little Amy doesn't follow the same path... It'd be absolutely awful, loosing her."
Meanwhile, upstairs, Amber sighed in exasperation. That'd be Victor, she guessed, but did he really have to follow her back to her own home? A home is supposed to be a place where one could go to escape from their troubles and relax, right? This whole day had bothered her, and now one of the problems had come knocking at her door. Literally. She pushed the chair back as she stood, almost loosing her balance in her haste, but recovering quickly. Opening the door a crack, Amber peeked out into the hall. Her eyes travelled upward from her own eyelevel until they met his, then narrowed. "What do you want?" She asked in a tone that implied rudeness in every syllable, though she was attempting to be at least a little polite. "I'm kind of busy."
"Yep, that's it exactly." Arianna watched wordlessly as he stepped over to the refrigerator, smiling. "Well I appreaciate that. I'd rather not go to hell any time soon." When asked if she wanted anything to eat, she grimly shook her head no. "I can't. It'd just turn to ash. Besides, I wouldn't want to take what you do have, even if I could. It would be.. selfish."
Smirking at his last comment, Arianna chuckled to herself. "Well, that's another thing I wouldn't do if I could. At least," She said quietly, brushing a stray strand of bright red hair out of her eyes. "not right now. I'd be putting you in jeopardy, loosing too much blood and all."
(( It would have been longer, but my little brother is bugging me to get off. I'll be back later. ))

Victor was a little surprised at Amber's attitude, yet, it was to be expected of her. He had followed her home, and was now interupting her. "Oh, nothing really. Just wanted to see what goes on in your home, nothing more. I have to say it is a little interesting." he said, as he turned and made his way back down the stairs. *Sigh* She is really against getting help. Victor thought.
