[[New abilities to be selected: The two extra arms(short), I want to become the short wings. As for the new ability, I'd like Appearance shifting Decided on Cold-Blooded. O:]]
"I suppose it'd be odd to see, yes." Shrian mused with a small chuckle. He listened at Fiye's quote, eyes on the small numbered light that marked which floor they were on. He sighed, running his fingers through his hair once again distractedly. "Again, all we can do is live our lives and see where they take us, eh?" He smirked over at Fiye, eyes flashing in the dim elevator light. Immediatly, though, he gasped, pushing off of the wall as his eyes widened. His friend was floating in the air, seemingly in a decent amount of pain. "Fiye, what's wrong?!" he asked worriedly, moving underneath her to prevent her from falling and hurting herself.
Shrian caught Fiye as she fell, holding her in his arms lightly. His eyes flicked to the claws, which dissapeared momentarily. He shook his head, eyes closing for a moment before opening as the elevator slowed to a stop with a beep, marking the eleventh floor. A concerned look on his face, Shrian stepped warily from the elevator, looking around as he proceeded down the hallway. Reaching his door, he set Fiye's feet down carefully, holding her with one arm as he unlocked the door and slid them both silently in, closing it quietly behind them.
Proceeding to his bed next to the large window, he layed Fiye down carefully, careful not to jolt her at all. "Fiye?" he whispered softly, laying his hand on hers. "Are you alright?" he asked once again, concern still etched on his face and tone. He hoped he hadn't woken Iris, or Nitebyss, who happened to be asleep on the couch at the moment.

"Hnn..." Fiye responded as she turned over, her body kicking itself up in the air for a few moments, before her body fell, and threw her awake. Immediantley, Fiye had been waken up, and she looked around, turning to Shrian for a moment before turning outside of the door. Thoughts were racing in her mind, but it was more than obvious that she had, one way or another, fallen unconscious. It wasn't like her to do such a thing. She had been eeating well, and had kept up a normal reign of physical excercise. Maybe it had to do with something about her ability to shift her own appearance. Although, she couldn't help but give Shrian a sour look, before smiling and continuing to look at him.
"You didn't need to drop me on my bed, ya know!" Fiye said, playfully pushing Shrian back against the wall as she streched, only to look at the clock. It was already 3:00 in the morning. Time had indeed flown by, either that or she had been asleep for alot longer than she normally was. Although, she remembered she had stored the food from Iris in the fridge, so she could eat that, before going off to bed.
"You didn't really need to do that to me, now did you," Fiye added with a sigh as she nodded, her feet gliding across the floor as she made a walking movement. It woudl have looked strange, seeing someone moonwalk without using any strange illusions.
Although, she couldn't help but yawn to herself, reaching into the fridge to pull up her unfinished dinner, before setting it into the microwave for a minute and half. For her, this was her sancturary time. A breif moment where she would stay up at night, just to eat something as she tuned out the rest of the world. She had strange behavior patterns, mostly due to the fact she lived outside of a house for a good part of her own life.
Although, she couldn't help but look at Shrian for a bit, before returning to her food. It wasn't much longer before she quickly ate the food, before turning towards Shrian, and giving him a pathetic accusing look, "You can talk to me now,"

[[Second sentance, you accidentally put "illicit" instead of Shrian. xP]]
Shrian blinked at Fiye's abrupt awakening, raising an eyebrow as he was pushed against the wall. "Well, actually it's my bed." he remarked in a similarly playful manner. He watched unblinkingly as she stood up, walking to the fridge and pulling out the unfinished meal. Hearing her state the time, he shook his head, well aware that he had to meet with Seij once again in two hours time. 'Yet another sleepless night...' He sat down on his bed with a sigh, falling back and spreading his arms out. He had closed his eyes when she'd taken the food out, though blinked them open as she questioned him in an accusing tone.
Sitting up slowly, Shrian ran his fingers through his hair, as was his usual habit. "Fiye, do you even remember what just happened?" he asked curiously, glancing at her hands for a moment. "You went all limp in the elevator and started floating, then fell down. I think..." At this point, he faltered, wondering exactly how to put his next statement. "I think...I saw claws growing over your nails..." He trailed off, looking up at her tentatively. He didn't know how she'd react; he didn't even know if she knew about it.
Looking down at the palm of his open hand momentarily, he blinked silently down at it, wondering what to say next. 'What does she want me to say, anyway?' he mused to himself. Suddenly, his hand seemed to change. Not in a large way of any sort, but in a small shimmer of color. In a moment, though, it was back to normal, looking just like it always did. 'This day is weird enough already...We've both had our changes...I'm just tired, that's all...Yeah...Just tired...'

((Bah.))
"Hmph, that's strange," Fiye said as she paused for a moment, her eyes catching the glimmer for a moment. She had paused to look at his hand, only to sigh and give the thought away, "Apparently, I don't remember what happened. All I know is that I'm woken up with my body falling against the bed. But, me floating. In all the things I've heard about transcendants, I've never heard a single one with the ability to defy gravity," Fiye remarked with a sigh, walking towards the sink and throwing the plate in, only to come back with a bottle of water, "Still, perhaps we should be a bit careful of everything. Me floating and growing claws abruptly isn't a good sign. If anything, I might find myself growing new appendages like you have," Fiye added with a small giggle, before yawning and letting her forehead rest against the table. For some reason, she wasn't tired. Seeing as the few moments of sleep was enough to keep herself awake for an hour or two.
"Still, me growing claws temporarily... maybe that's a trait I'm developing," Fiye remarked as she looked at her arm for a moment, only to see her arm turn into scales of black fur for a moment, before watching the fur fall back into her own arm as skin. Immediantley, her own face looked in surprise and disgust, "No... this can't be happening," FIye remarked with a whiny tone as she ran off into her room. Staring at her own arm as she tried to make sense of what had just happened. Was she really doing to turn into that beast? She could only whine to herself into her own pillow. Trying to calm herself down with futile attempts at doing so.

[[A bit tired? =P You kinda missed the TXP count on your last two posts too... I'm off to bed after this 'n. x.x;]]
Shrian didn't exactly know how to react to Fiye's sudden dissapearance. He sat there for a moment, mind running over the entire past night's events. His meeting Nitebyss, Iris, and Seij; the tenseness between everyone, especially Fiye and Iris; Fiye and his walk and visit to the lake, in which feelings were confessed; his extra arms, which now felt considerably lighter; Fiye's change, then sudden dashing to her room; so many things.
Head spinning slightly, he pushed off of the bed, walking silently over to the window and sliding down in the corner, eyes lifting to the moon as if in a cry for help. The day had brought so many new and troubling things. Glancing behind him, he gasped in suprise, noticing his coat had fallen off. Yet, instead of finding two extra arms, two short wings were folded neatly on his back, the feathers seeming to be half-way through development. 'Well...At least I know what they are now...' he thought to himself almost bitterly.
Casting his dark eyes to Iris' room, he sighed, wondering just what her extra arms would become. He didn't like the thought of two extra arms on himself, and he was silently glad they hadn't become such. Dark red spheres casting skyward, Shrian breathed deeply, closing his eyes half-way as his mind continued to reflect on the day, not daring to let himself slip off to sleep, knowing full well that he'd have to be up in two hours to meet Seij.

Seij watched as Shrian and Fiye went their own seperate way. See you in a few hours, Shrian. Seij thought as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his dark leather coat. He once again looked to the sky. He seemed to be doing that alot, and started to feel as though the sky gave him some sort of solice.
Seij closed his eyes before opening them and looking at the road ahead. It was a good fifteen minute walk back to his apartment, and he was in no hurry. He swung his braid over his shoulder, and slowly started unbraiding it. Too many things have happened to me recently. I can't digest it. From learning that I was actually Transcendant, to meeting other Transcendants, all of whom had powers that were not apparent on the surface, except for that woman. To meeting some of those same people again in the park tonight, and Shrian now having two new arms. It really is odd how fast a Transcendant evolves sometimes.
Seij stopped unbraiding his hair for a quick moment, to take a look at his hand. It immediately started glowing just by him wishing it to do so, and the eerie purple glow cast an odd shadow over the features of his face. He immediately stopped the glow, as the city-scape came into view. He didn't want to be caught as a Transcendant, he had seen what other 'normal' people did to Transcendants.
He shook his head of the gruesome thought, before returning his hands to his hair, continuing the process of unbraiding it. Upon exiting the park, and coming upon the urban part of the city, Seij was mildly surprised that the circus of people who come out at night were still out and about. Most likely doing their... 'business'. Seij thought, as he shook his head once more.
He walked past a few prostitutes, their skimpy clothing making him feel sick. He felt even more sick as one approached him.
"Hey hun, you want to have some fun?" She asked, giving Seij a once-over before returning her gaze to his face.
"No thanks." Seij bluntly said, as he pushed his way past her. As if Iwould want anything to do with people like you. Seij thought. He knew that those people only did it because it made money, but in his opinion it was just disgusting. Walking a bit further, Seij leaned up against a random wall, wanting to clear his head of all the thoughts he had about that prostitute. Sighing, he kicked off the wall, and continued in the direction of his apartment.
His hair finally being fully unbraided, he flipped it back over his shoulder, sighing in releif as he did so. Having it like that was uncomfortable. he thought, as a few playful strands flew in front of his face. He quickly tucked those behind his ear.
With every step Seij took, life for him seemed to become increasingly boring. There was noone around worth him talking to, and he was pretty sure none of his friends wanted a phone call this late at night to ask them if they wanted to hang out. He let out yet another sigh. Man, being alone is not fun. he thought, as he rounded a corner. Only another ten minutes until I reach my apartment. Seij thought optimistically.
As Seij passed one dark alleyway, a mugger jumped out, facing him with a knife in his hand.
"Give me your wallet." he demanded, in a gruff voice. He moved threatingly closer to Seij, the knife held in a stabbing position.
Seij rolled his eyes slightly, looking at the man in front of him. He should not have tried to mug comeone like me. he thought. "I don't have a wallet, sorry. If I did, I'd be more than happy to give it to you." Seij said coldy, holding up his hands out of his pockets.
"Don't mock me!" the mugger said, before making a stab at Seij. "Wrong move, bud." Seij said, as he knocked the hand that had the knife to the side before grabbing his wrist and pulling him downwards a bit. Seij brought his knee up, smashing it into the mugger's jaw, forcing his body to stand up straight. Seij then did a palm thrust to the man's chest, the purple glow eminating from his hand a split second before hitting the man. The mugger flew backwards a few feet before landing with a thud.
Seij looked at the man with pity as he struggled to get up. Seij shoved his hands into his pockets again. Well, the Transcendant ability I have came in handy there. he idly thought as he kept walking, as if nothing had happened. He rounded another corner, his apartment now in view up ahead.
Another five minutes and I'll be back at my apartment. I wonder what time it is. Seij thought as he shrugged, deeming the thought as a matter for another time. He knew that it was late...very late, but what time exactly, it didn't matter to him. All he knew was that it was still dark outside.
It wasn't very long until he completed the last few hundred yards to get to the apartment complex in which his apartment resided. He took hold of the door handle and pulled, only to hear clunk coming from the door. DAMNIT IT'S LOCKED!! Seij thought as he looked in the door jam to verify that it really was, locked. Sighing, he straightened up and ran his fingers through his hair. He headed around the side, knowing that the lock was loose on that door.
I should have remembered that noone can get in at certain times of the night. Seij scolded himself as he arrived at the side entrance. He tugged on the door, before pushing it. He heard the lock start to wiggle free, and he repeated the process, several times, until the door swung free. Thank you for installing a crap lock on this door. he thought, smiling a little to himself as he entered the all-to-familiar dark stairwell.
Seij closed the door behind him and started up the stairs, his feet once again echoing as he made his way up them. Taking about a minute to come upon the right floor, Seij opened the door, revealing a hallway that led to many rooms, most importantly his own. He walked dow nthe hallway, his feet making barely a noise on the carpet flooring as he moved closer to his apartment.
"Room 407." he said queitly to himself as he took out his key and opened the portal leading to his apartment. He entered and closed the door behind him, not bothering to lock it. He threw his jacket over a nearby chair, and ran his hand through his hair without thinking about it. He threw his keys on a small table that was near the door before walking over to the couch and flopping down on it.
I wonder what the future holds for tommo…. Later today. Seij thought as he glanced at his clock. It was already three thirty in the morning, and he had not got one wink of sleep. He shrugged before flipping on the TV, boredly surfing the channels, waiting for the time to come that he had to meet Shrian in the park.
((at this point there is 12 more TXP, so Seij has received his newest ability, appearance shifting. Also, I would like his pulse ability to evolve into Shock))
((now to continue on, and it is now just after 5 AM for Seij))
Seij woke with a start and looked at the time hurredly. "Oh s**t!" he exclaimed. The small digital clock read 5:09 AM. Seij quickly flipped off the TV and grabbed the keys from the small stand where he had left them about two hours ago. He quickly ran out the apartment door, abruptly stopping to close his door queitly and lock it.
Once done, he resumed his mad dash to get to the park. He flew down the concrete stairwell, taking three steps at a time. Upon reaching the side door, he opened it quickly, before closing it slowly. He was trying, and barely acheiving, to keep quiet.
He started jogging as he took some back alleys to get to the park faster. As he exited an alleyway, he bumped into a man. "Um, sorry, sir." Seij said, as he continued on, noticing the man looking at him in an odd way. Why did he look at me like that? Seij thought as he looked at himself, shocked to find his appearance had changed to that of the man's. Although he quickly turned back into himself, Seij could not help but wondered what had just happened to him.
He grinned as the park came into view. OK, maybe I won't be so late after all. Seij thought as he sped his pace up a little. He entered the park, birds chirping all around him, although he didn't notice at the present moment in time. He hated making people wait, for he knew how much he hated to have to wait.
He reached the center of the park and looked around for Shrian, and didn't see him. Seij stopped running and sat down on a nearby bench, wanting to catch his wind before he met up with Shrian, wherever he was. Man I'm a screw-up. he joked with himself as his breathing started to slow down. I ran all the way here, not wanting to be late for a person I've only met once, and on top of that I wore myself out. Seij thought, as he let out a small sigh.
He leaned back on the bench, and looked around, waiting for Shrian to turn up, and if he didn't then, Seij decided, he would have to go around the park in a wild goose chase.
((ok, without the OOC in the middle this is 1,620 words long, meaning 16 TXP. Well, longest post in the thread, and in my history as a roleplayer. I think I have something mentally wrong with me. I am totally mental to post something this long... and twice, too.))

Shrian blinked, snapping himself out of the daze he'd been drifting in for the past long while. His gaze re-focused on the view of the park, moon glistening on the barely-visible lake. All was silence behind his glass shield, though; only the occasional sound of movement from Nitebyss breaking the quietness.
Eyes sparkling in the moonlight, Shrian rose slowly, arching his back and hearing it crack multiple times. Satisfied, he looked around, walking quietly over to a corner drawer in the kitchen. It was latched shut by a small lock imbedded in the wood, unopenable without it's key. Pulling a rather small key from his pants pocket, he slid it noiselessly into the lock, turning it, and with a small click the drawer slid open. Inside were only two items: A small hand gun, and a clip of already-loaded bullets.
Taking the gun from it's resting place, he picked up the clip, sliding it into place on the bottom of the grip. Tucking it into his right pocket, he closed the drawer, re-locking it and stepping over to to sink, beside which he'd left his wakizashi. Taking the Japanese knife and flipping it once in his hand, Shrian thrust it in his belt behind him.
Moving quickly and quietly to the dresser next to his bed, he withdrew another black skin-tight shirt that almost exactly resembled the one he'd had on earlier. Pulling it over his head, Shrian flinched, the fibers coming in contact with his two, now miniature wings. "Damnit..." he swore softly, slipping the shirt back off to hold in front of him with one hand while the other drew his Japanese blade. In two quick movements, he slashed two clean-cut holes near where he assumed his shoulder blades would rest. Re-dawning the shirt, he forced the two wings through the slits, flinching at the odd sensation of pain in his new appendages. Managing to get them through, he pulled the shirt down, grabbing his coat and flinging it over his shoulders. The coat managed to cover his wings, gun, and wakizashi. He was ready to go.
Glancing at the clock calmly, Shrian nodded as he saw the time. Four forty-seven. He was on time so far. Turning to the door, he made sure he had his keys in his pocket before, with a last glance at Fiye's and Iris' doors, he opened the front door and slipped out into the deserted hallway.
Taking the elevator down to the main entrance, Shrian found the doorman asleep in his chair, chin sagging to a chest that rose and fell rythmically. Sliding past him, Shrian pushed open the front door, a rush of cool air picking up his hair for a moment. He sighed, standing for a moment with his eyes closed, breathing deeply and taking in the tranquility. In a matter of moments, though, his eyes reopened and he turned towards the park, walking at a moderate speed.
Coming to an entrance to the park, the man walked slowly, crimson-tinted eyes flashing as they came in contact with the moon's reflection on the lake. He sighed once more, his gaze turning skyward to the canopy of leaves. Once again, a few sprinkled stars could be seen through the branches and leaves, providing sparce light for him to see by. Narrowing his eyes, he continued to walk, looking left and right in search of the man he was supposed to meet.
Shaking his head, Shrian sat down after nearly ten minutes of walking in the park. He was once again at his favorite spot, sliding downwards to sit tiredly in the grass, staring out with a clear view of the lake a short way away. "I suppose we should have pre-arranged a meeting place..." he whispered to himself, closing his eyes in obvious fatigue. It'd already been two days since he'd slept, and this was now his third night. He smirked to himself, eyes fluttering open. "Three more days until I start to see hallucinations..."

Seij slowly got up from the bench he was on, deciding that since he found Shrian by the lake last night, then that should be the first place he should look. Seij could see a man sitting on the grass near the lake, the moon outlining his silouhette. As he came closer, he recognized who it was.
"How's the arms doing?" Seij said, as he sat down beside Shrian. Seij ran his fingers through his loose silver hair, knowing that it probably wasn't straight at all. "Did you sleep at all after earlier? 'Cause you seem dead tired." Seij said, seeing bags under Shrian's eyes. I can already tell he is fatigued. After two arms ripping out of his back, I doubt that he received much sleep either. Seij thought, as he looked up at the moon, his silver hair shining in the slightest fro the light.

Blinking out of one of his many dazes, the young man looked up to see Seij walking towards him. "The arms are doing fine, though, you can't exactly call these arms." he said, leaning forward and pulling his coat down slightly. One of his nearly fully developed wings stuck out slightly, white feathers glistening in the moonlight. They were still shorter than what he'd seen on some Transcendants, meaning that they'd get larger as time wore on. Slipping his coat back over his shoulders, he sighed, leaning his head back.
"No, I haven't slept at all in two days, nearly three now. I guess you could call it mild insomnia." he stated simply with a wry smirk. Shrian noticed Seij's hand run through his hair, smirking slightly as he himself did the same. "Looks like I'm not the only one with the nervous habit." he mused aloud, turning his eyes upwards.
"So, you said you had some questions about Transcendants. I've experienced most everything a Transcendant can go through, so I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities. But let's try not to linger. People come out at about six A.M., and that's only about forty-five minutes away now." Hitching his arms up and cupping his hands behind his head, he listened, waiting for Seij to speak.

Seij looked at his palm, before starting to talk. "Really, I was just wondering how often Transcendants evolve, and what evolutionary things you have seen coming from Transcnedants." Seij said, before looking to Shrian. "I really intended this to be a short talk, seeing as I only had a few things I wanted to ask you."
Seij forced the palm thrust that he had learned about into coming out, hoping to see a purple glow, but instead, small bolts of electricity danced around his hand. "What the hell? It used to be a force field that had some power to it. Now it is small bolts of electricity....." Seij said, his voice trailing off. He looked to Shrian slowly. "I think I just figured out relatively how long it takes to evolve more." Seij said, bewildered, as he ceased the electricity coursing over his palm.
"Ok, forget about telling me what kind of mutations you have seen. On my way here I bumped into a man, and my appearance changed. Have you ever heard of anything like that before?" Seij said, hoping that Shrian knew the answer to the question. It appeared to Seij as though he had some sort of appearance morphing ability, but he wanted to assure his assumptions.

Smirking slightly as he lowered his head to see the small bolts of electricity, Shrian spoke calmly. "Mental ability. It starts with just a small eminated pulse, pretty much just pure energy. As the ability evolves, it will change into one of five things: Electricity, Fire, Water, Earth, or a more powerful pulse. You've developed an electric pulse, which is more of an average ability of the lot." He spoke as if it were an every day sight, which it nearly was for the man.
"And it varies from person to person, how fast one evolves. I evolved twice within' a day, as far as I know. For you, it could be faster, or slightly slower." Blinking in suprise as Seij explained his appearance shifting ability, Shrian ran his fingers through his hair distractedly. "Well, it seems you've developed a rare ability, Seij. Appearance shifting, which will eventually lead you to shapeshifting, is something not many Transcendants can ahieve. My roommate is the only one I've ever seen with it, besides a man long ago who hid it rather well."
Leaning back once again, he mentally assumed the time, figuring it had been about fifteen minutes since they'd met. 'About a half-hour left, if it takes that long...'

So... It seems as though I have a few rare developments. Seij thought. I wonder how the appearance shifting works? Immediately he turned his head to Seij. "Do you have an idea of how the appearance shifting works, and how I control it? I have no idea how to use it, and I am pretty sure that I don't want to bump into any more people and transform my appearance into a mirror image of them. It would probably create quite a stir amongst the non-Transcendants." Seij said, as he placed his hands out behind him, leaning back on them as supports.
"It really is an amazing thing. Transcendant's ability to evolve." Seij commented, looking at his hand once again. "I just don't know why non-Transcendants are so fearful." Seij said, pondering his own statement. "I guess it's just a matter of they fear what they don't understand." Seij finished. The sky had just barely started to change color, the black turning into a dull red, the symbol that the morning was soon to come. Seij looked to Shrian. "We should get going. It won't be long until the city wakes up, and I am pretty sure you don't want to be seen with those wings." Seij said, nodding towards Shrian's back.

"I've no idea how to control it. I just know it exists as a rarer ability." As he spoke, he pushed off of the bench, stretching his arms and flexing his stiff shoulder blades. "All I know is that you can manipulate your facial appearance and skin tone in the beginning. As it moves on, you can change your body structure, even."
Arching his back and looking up to the brightening sky, Shrian sighed. "I should go. I don't want to be absent as my guests awaken." Offering a hand to Seij, he offered a tired smile. "If you need any more information, you know my number; and obviously, you know where I live." Smirking wryly, he waited for his hand to be taken, wondering how Iris, Fiye, and Nitebyss were doing back at the apartment.

Seij stood up with Shrian, and shook his hand. "Thanks for the information. It helped me in more than a few ways." Seij said, releasing Shrian's hand. "I will be sure to call you if I need anymore information." Seij said, nodding a small bit. He shook his hair behind his shoulders, not wanting it to get in the way.
Seij turned slightly. "Well, I'm off to get my breakfast. See you." he said, with a wave of his hand as he started to head in the direction of the city. Once again he found himself bewildered at the abilities of Transcendants, and the fact that he, himself, was one.
