Finally, the day of graduation, a day many ninja celebrate there own long journeys to genin hood and the very start of there rather long journey through ninja greatness! Every parent wants there student to rise to the top past many other great ninjas, there's nothing that could make a parent even more prouder! Except if one day your parents disappeared and you didn't get to celebrate that victory, leaving you feeling the ultimate disappointment and not feeling as victorious. All you had to do was just look to the bright side, they were only missing not proven dead! So why beat around the bush about it, that's not what Hailee was going to do. Hailee marched towards the Kage's office in a simple bathing suit; of course it's not the proper wear, it's just her own way of gaining attention in which she loveeed having, and this place was of course going to be crowded, and crawling with ninja guards everywhere. A crowd, a watchful crowd, what could be more perfection? Amorette was sitting on top of her shoulders, her own eyes peeled open with anticipation. Entering the building, she would scream quite loudly. "The great and powerful ninja Hailee is hereeee!" Hailee extended her arms out in excitement, holding her breath for anyone to cheer for all her glory while she inhaled and exhaled quickly, cept there was ultimate quietness following soon after. Opening one eye, she realized the door was still shut in front of her. With that awkwardness out of the way, she knocked. And no, not a good hard once knock, she contentiously knocked obnoxiously until someone would answer her presence.

Mizuki smiled broadly as she was escorted into the office. It was so lively and full of energy that it somewhat ebbed the irritation she felt for the lack of time she got to spend with her husband. However before she could actually enter the office a great flash of light coated the room in vision blocking whiteness. A loud clap followed the lightning but it wasn't the the thunder, no it was the sound of someone slapping Mizuki's a**. The smile upon her face turned into a knowing smirk as she felt the perpetrator kiss and then take in the smell of the back of her neck. Her husband was home. "Allo daddy~" she whispered after turning her head to the side. As she moved into the office proper she eyed the loving affection given to Souta and suddenly spoke up, "Mmmm Souta-kun... I heard you visited the hospital recently and didn't come to me, I'm hurt baby~" She spoke playfully though somewhat chastisingly.
As for the house, well she'd come to discuss that actually. It was currently unlivable and completely messed up. "The house is totally spent. I swung by at the end of my shift only to find it was blown."

[x] Evidently we were to both be invited in at the same time. And as per usual, the second I stepped through the door, suddenly a flood of other people followed, seeming to spawn out of nowhere in most cases. I sighed deeply, and moved off to the side to wait. Though I was half tempted to leave then and there when I was called out by Kenshin for not being a registered member of the village. To be honest, that was none of his business, and the scowl that formed in my otherwise neutral expression likely told that story. The only person I needed to trust me was the Raika- Arashikage, right.
Though I supposed he was acting kage in their absence. Aah, I should have just waited for their return.
However the temporary leader moved onto the next person, since the office was quickly getting crowded and rowdy. I was amazed the man who was so suspicious of one person he didn't know could stand for all of the other distractions. The person who entered after me received a somewhat out of place scolding, though I suppose they did come in uninvited. Thoroughly embarrassed, the genin left as quickly as he came, or intended to at least. Likewise, one of the other genin, just like me, didn't answer the question directed his way.
I felt the hair on the back of my neck just before a lightning bolt struck the ground between the group of us and the desk Kenshin sat at, blinding my sensitive eyes briefly. The smell of ozone that lingered following was strong enough I could taste it, but evidently it had only been a transportation technique because, once my splotchy vision cleared up, I found the twin Arashikage standing in the room. My presence was ignored in favor of them congratulating the genin there, one of whom was apparently Jeon's son. Meanwhile, I diverted my gaze from Jay as he apparently had no shame when it came to meeting his wife once more in such a busy space.
Their tone became a bit more serious, although the dramatic actions continued, the air of overconfidence wafting from them overpowering the ozone in a way that made me feel ill. Why did everything have to be dramatized? I thought I'd escaped that after Jack, but maybe all shinobi except myself eventually gained the tendency. It wasn't intimidating, or awe-inspiring like most seemed to think. I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall, still debating if I should make my escape or not.
Though I had to admit that Kenshin's reaction was both hilarious and completely out of character. Though the expression of terror on his face once he'd recovered himself stole that amusement away. The flash must have triggered something, and that was no laughing matter. While I couldn't know what he had experienced, I could relate. After all, most nights I couldn't sleep thanks to my memories. And I had the pain of remembering everything.
In the meanwhile, two more genin entered, one of whom was the original boy who'd been before me. It seemed I would be waiting a while yet.
In chaos and nonsense the twins had thrived even before they harbored together a passenger that made them so much more careful and decisive than they once had been before. While still just as brash and... human they were a lot more of the deadly efficient killing machines than they had been, especially where their demeanors were concerned. The moment that Kirisei and Souta responded in their ways and Jeon's eyes snapped up to the other genin that had... hollered at Kenshin... to him, passed the Yin side of the demon duo seemed to sigh away all of the expression in her face, closing her eyes and then reopening them to take in Kenshin. He looked rattled. That was a stark divergence from his typical, hardened expression. She gathered from Yukimura gathering up all of the papers when she first stepped in that the crash they heard was the desk. Must have scared him with the lightning? Before she could even speak, however, another shriek occurred behind her. The door to the office wasn't closed, so Jay and Jeon both wondered why after her little declaration the child in her bathing suit decided to rap her knuckles against the door.
Feeling his sister's reflection of his confusion and outright irritation, Jay uncrossed his arms and tapped her shoulder. When the wifey spoke, he pursed his lips, as did Jeon, and irritation mounted. Someone had stones the size of a mountain... they really had picked a hell of a time to step out on sabbatical. The elders would be having their head if this were the Imperial City. Still, he spoke first to Hailee. "So, two things. Love the enthusiasm... but I'm going to have to ask you not to scream in closed spaces to announce yourself. It's potentially unsettling. Also..." Jay began narrowing his eyes at her, " I need all of the genin in the office to listen up." Jay began to walk forward after tapping Kenshin on his shoulder with a smile. When he reached his desk, he reoriented it with one hand, a task that would seem herculean even after having seen the heavy thing be flipped (and hearing the resulting boom) moments ago. He did it with an ease that suggested that Jay was yet still the very same monster of coiled strength that he was before. "Hailee, Souta, and Kirisei I have a task for you. Go to the academy. When you arrive, find a scroll titled "Korabo" in the jutsu library there, and I want the three of you trained in it with each other, effective immediately. By the time that's done, I imagine that you'll all be hungry for more? Ill credit you all a D ranked mission for every jutsu you learn up to three, and then another one for every three jutsu after that. If fighting up close is more your speed... hit the dojo and the same applies Consider it a growth challenge while the Brass shakes off some rust. Kojiro, as for you, if you wan't to go and do that with them feel free. Otherwise, step outside and close the door on the way out. Kenshin will be out momentarily. If, for whatever reason you decide you don't want to kill two birds with one stone, close the door on your way to wait out in the hall."
The way he ended the sentence left little room for there to be conversation on the matter. He wouldn't sit until the genin had gone, and even then not before taking Magni from his back and lying it against the wall behind himself. Jeon would usher Kirisei and Souta out the door as well, and when they were all out and the door shut, she would find her way to sit on the desk offset to her brother's right so that he could still be seen.
Mizuki, Yukimura the secretary, Shadow, and Kenshin remained. "Now. Before we get to the matter of who we have to credit for my home blowing up," Jeon spoke allowing her brother to finish her sentence. The two of them both let golden eyes fall upon shadow. "As thankful as we are for your aid and the oddjobs and ends you pick up here... everyone has had plenty enough time to be here and decide to declare themselves as citizens and members of the military. Kenshin asked you a question and you seemed content not to answer him..." Jay spoke as within them the Gyuki growled at the backs of their minds. "We would like to have a definitive answer. Some things have begun to move and change in the world, and we aren't in a position any longer where we can allow people, ninja or otherwise, to have flimsy allegiances and ties. It's furthering the divide that has been a mountain of a climb already. Just as we asked Tsuki before, we ask you now why you've elected not to officially join us." With that, Jeon finished speaking and unhooked her sword to lean it against the desk as well and get more comfortable, sitting cross legged.
====================================
Meanwhile in the Psyche Plane...
"I don't imagine this is going to go well," the Gyuki trailed off propping it's two heads against a tail lazily in their world. Jeon and Jay both had to acknowledge him. "Sorry?""Why else would a person, named shadow of all things, be playing this game with you twinnies? He hasn't declared any status with you all because, like idiots, you've allowed it, and possibly because he isn't someone worthy of trusting. You let the dissidents in from all of those former military complexes... you let in the strays from the Mist village... all under the former flag of Kumogakure far too fast. As if all of the animosity between the mist and cloud villages against Sound, Snow, Grass and Rain would simply evaporate if you forced them here. I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of Kiri ninja presence in the village of any note was because THEY are secretly filling the ranks of the Sons of Helios, or doing something else shady behind the scenes to take over." Jay kicked the Yang's cage. "No. Firstly, I didn't choose to let them all in here at the forward base. This was supposed to be a military complex and then-""And then Shiro made you take in Kiri? And the Oto residents too, simply because Belamos the Mad and Tsuki the Flower Girl asked nicely. Right, and then because you had those refugees you let more in to level out both sides of the playing field? Why if not because you thought yourselves capable of solving hate itself?""They worked just as hard as the Kumogakure citizens did to awaken this place after we found it. You don't turn away the people who have your back. This is the first stop on the road to the Empire, and for most of the world as it stands the mustering fields for any offenses dedicated to the protection of our people, which now includes those others. Do I trust them all? I never did. But I chose to believe in people. I chose to let the base become a Village. Beyond the hatred we have thrived, Gyuki. We won't suffer you trying to take that away from us... from those of us who cared. Concern yourself with learning from us, and save your theories and attempts on our mental stability." When Jeon was done reaming him out, they went back into the conscious world with not a second having passed by.
Souta was about to answer Mizuki when his head tilted at Jay all but shooing them out. He looked at those who would remain for a moment, feeling something he'd never felt before as he returned his gaze back to the less interesting half of the Arashikage duo. Something inside him suggesting disobedience for a moment, demanded he ignore Jay. It tired to root him to the floor where he stood, and sent a sensation rippling through him. A sensation that floated through another plane of reality, one on which only he and the Arashikage existed, and the boy felt the world around him fade almost imperceptibly - as if being drawn somewhere deeper into his own head. It faded as quickly as it came, and Souta glanced around again. He wondered if this was the doing of Shadow, but then why would the Arashikage allow that? Quietly he shook the impression, and headed off to the Academy for this Korabo training, setting a quick pace.
__ Kenshin was now relieved of his duty to lead the village which was more than welcome. He was growing weary of managing children, if it were up to him then he would have sent all of them back to the academy with a demand for more strict and efficient military training. The twins took care of all of those matters before him as he turned around to face the desk Jay now sat at. When the room was cleared of the foot soldiers, he just pulled up a chair and sat opposite of Jay at the desk with the chair angled towards Shadow. He listened to Jay speak to Shadow and nodded affirmatively to support the village leader. The scowl on Shadow's face from earlier told it all and only served to Kenshin's patience further. "You're not one of us, for all we know you could be gathering intelligence on your missions to give to others who might threaten this village's very existence. I could've had your mind wiped by CORE and tossed out of the gates for ignoring an interrogation pertaining to village security the way you did. A ninja who takes advantage of this village's resources with flimsy allegiance is lower than dirt." Captain Kosei delivered his vicious tongue lashing to Shadow before continuing. "And if you ignore these two then I swear I'll..." Kenshin intentionally stopped himself from going further into his anger. Now he would wait for Shadow's response. His pale eyes pierced into him, if he in any way disrespected the Arashikages then there would be Hell to pay.

[x] Ah, maybe it wouldn't take as long as I thought it would. Though the moment attention was pointed my way, I regretted being there in the first place. I kept a carefully neutral expression, even with the pang of worry that fluttered through my chest. Why the sudden doubt? It's not like I had any intention of harming anyone. In fact, I thought I'd proved quite the opposite. I couldn't necessarily blame them, though. I wasn't trusting of anyone, and had therefore avoided most contact with everyone. It came from personal experience of no one ever listening to the few words I actually offered, most of which were in warning. I'd lost count of the number of times I'd given a command, only for them to be ignored. So at some point it became better to just avoid people altogether, and just do everything myself. Glancing at Kenshin at his degrading remarks, and the threat he posed if I ignored the twins, I finally responded. "I can't imagine how an insomniac mute is any threat to you," I replied with a small frown, and turned my eyes to the twins.
I sighed heavily then, pinching the bridge of my nose as I pushed off the wall. I didn't move forward, however. I had to cooperate, unfortunately. I couldn't risk losing my memory again. I might as well just have myself offed before that happened. It would be more comforting, since the last time had eventually led to me losing the only family I had. At least I wouldn't be in constant agony from lack of sleep anymore. "In all seriousness, I've denied becoming a member of your village for a few different reasons, the first being the most important: I'm loyal to Kirigakure. Regardless of whether or not it still exist, I would still give my life for my village." I looked down at my metal arm, picking bits of something or another from the joints. "I can take one of your headbands if you want, but that won't change my allegiance. That aside, I was given shelter here by Shiro, before he left, as a mercenary of sorts. I do some less desirable jobs in exchange for food and a roof over my head. Since I can't go back to Kiri, this is where I'm stuck." I glanced back up at the others in the room. "Another reason is because I'm looking for someone. Someone that would be a threat to anyone in his path. I haven't seen a trace of him in the five years since I came here, but the second I do find him, I intend on luring him as far away from here as possible. Which means leaving the village behind."
My answers weren't desirable, and I knew that. If they couldn't handle them, then I supposed this would be the end of my stay in the village. Hopefully, they'd at least allow me to gather my things and leave, rather than doing what Kenshin suggested. When had paranoia grown so high? First Jack, and now this. Last I heard the villages were supposed to be working together to stop some kind of threat, though I'd been out of the loop for a while and maybe that wasn't the case anymore.
I shrugged, and dropped my arms to my side. "I have no reason to lie, and you're welcome to check on that truth if you want. I'm sure there's a jutsu out there somewhere regarding it. I have no interest in damaging your village or its people. In fact, I've nearly given up my life for the village on several occasions, as far back as when I'd just become a jounin nine years ago. Likewise, I follow orders the same as any shinobi of Arashi. But if you'd rather I leave, then I'll move on."
Without even so much as a realization, Hailee was just knocking on a wall, there was apparently no closed doors, leaving her in confusement. She was about to repeat herself, when the twin guy acknowledged her presence, praising on the excitement but hating on the shouting in public. "Ahh, fine fine, if you want to be a boring old man, that's up to you I guessss." Hailee shrugged in a low whisper, staring at her nails to make sure they just looked faboo enough, painted and shiny! Just the way she liked it! After all if you wanted to have it all as a ninja, you still needed to look as fabulous as possible when on missions! She would stare as the man was making some sort of announcement for all genin in the room, though the glance in her eyes pretty much spoke volumes of not being too interested. She sighed boredly once she was assigned to this new task, it already sounded incredibly boring and dull. Training was absolutely garbage to her mood, she hatedddd training so much. Hailee reallyy hated libraries too, but it was better than getting her nails wrecked in that training dojo, so library or academy it was. She exited the building, onwards to this academy! Here's to hoping she would be able to maybe learn some new jutsu! Atleast make it somewhat worthwhile in the end, and not a total waste of her valuable but precious time. [Exit to Academy]
โงใใใcompany. No one โงใใใlocation. Exiting โงใใใemotions. Somewhat excited
The twins hadn't realized, fully, the utility of having an entire pocket world to themselves to interact until now. They offloaded all emotional input, crafting perfect pokerfaces in the mean time, by reacting where only the Gyuki and each other could see. And the reaction wasn't a particularly good one. "Shadow doesn't seem to understand." It was a thought transmitted through the Psyche plane from Jay to Jeon. A shake of her head within it gave him the confirmation that she agreed. Jay, for all he was worth, merely leaned forward on his hands as Shadow gave his explanation. Jeon crossed one leg, and let her hands rest over her knee. Her posture was straight, eyes focused and narrow. For Kenshin, Mizuki and Yukimura this would be a strange sight indeed. Jay had always been the thinker, seated in deep thought as though a ticking bomb waiting to explode while Jeon was an endless reservoir of energy. Jay seemed to be stewing in his own thoughts more... pointedly than ever before. Part of that was knowing that the Hachibi, too, was listening in and while Gyuki had little ability to jar him physically, he had to actively guard his thoughts against the Ushi-Oni.
Jay and Jeon looked to each other first after Shadow spoke, then eyes settled on Kenshin. When they looked back the two of them spoke in a concert only twins could pull off, and only after years of being immersed in each other's tonal shifts and speech patterns. "Shadow... I hope you don't take this the wrong way because..." Jay began as Jeon followed up, "But there is no more Kirigakure and showing allegiance to a ghost is senseless. Likewise, Otogakure is gone, Yukigakure is no more, Amegakure is gone, and even Kumogakure is no longer an active world state.""The simple way to say it is that your Daimyo chose to ax you all from his village, and those of you who were forced out carried the last of Kirigakure's soul here. In the end...""The same is true of every village that sent it's people, or what remained of them, here. We've worked tirelessly to create something new and better under the flag of the new Lightning Daimyou, but Shiro and his title be damned. Arashigakure IS Kirigakure. It IS Kumo and Oto,""And Yuki, Kusa, Ame and even pieces of the still standing Giman. The leaders of the former Kirigakure are no longer here. Inka hasn't been seen in ages, and the others of the top brass are MIA. The citizens who live here are Arashigakure citizens, loyal to this place and it's people. And we have shown more than just loyalty back to them, as well, which is why your mysterious problem person,""Isn't a threat to me, my brother, Kenshin or anyone else. Inka was promised shelter here, and that became something entirely more than just harboring refugees." The two of them would finish on a less than hopeful note. "So I will put it to you like this,""Choosing to show allegiance to Kirigakure is the same as choosing Arashigakure, and leaving would not only be you turning your back on the place that became the beacon of hope, and new home for the people you claim to be allied to so dearly." There was a pause for Kenshin or Mizuki, if either of them wanted to speak.

__ Shadow's words only served to infuriate the police captain even more. "He's loyal to a dead village? Unbelievable." At this point, Kenshin was far more partial to just throwing this vagrant ninja out of the gates with a clean memory wipe and moving on. However, he would of course bow before the will of his leaders. The fallen Hyuuga clansman listened to the kages speak and try to reason with the vagabond before them. He was alarmed by the way they were sitting and tapping into their respective subconscious. They seemed to be communicating efficiently so he would not peg this mysterious behavior as an emergency, but would inquire later. He then went back to staring at Shadow, this man was getting on his last nerve. When Jay and Jeon finished speaking he seized the silence following their statements for an interjection. "Choose your response to our merciful leaders very carefully." Kenshin's words were seething. He now waited in patient anticipation as a lion of justice stalks his prey.

The precursor to his appearance was a slight, albeit noticeable, uptick in the temperature of the room and the near removal of the humidity that seemed to permeate the air of the mountain village of Arashigakure. It had been some time since he had entered the village, his hunt and personal goals had kept him away from both his obligations and family. While he loathed being away for so long, duty both called him away and had necessitated his return. He turned into the room from the hallway and strode into the midst of the gaggle of shinobi that occupied the office.
Belamos Karna had returned.
He took no notice of Souta, Shadow or Hailee nor even deigned to acknowledge their presence here. His eyes flitted between the Twins as well as Officer Kosei. He had a few days stubble on his face and a travelers cloak pulled around his body, the hood lowered. He had hurried back to Arashigakure as soon as he felt it prudent, hardly stopping for anything but the strictest necessities. His eyes showed slight rings underneath from for lack of sleep and his legendary spear, Shลkyaku, was nowhere to be found on his body. A fresh bandage was wound around his upper right arm, and despite his best efforts to conceal it he walked with a slight limp. The Leader of Otogakure was looking rough. Although he hated to present himself in such a condition, he had no choice.
There seemed to be a conflict of some kind going on in the room- the tension was palpable and the joint Kage's, despite the near perfect poker faces, seemed to be annoyed by the proceedings. At this point did he finally turn his head and let his eyes rest on the male before him. The man didn't seem like much to him, but he had learned long ago not to judge the outward shell with respect to the inward character. After a moment of staring, he turned back to the twins.
"When you're done with...this, we need to talk"
At this point he would turn and walk over to one of the chairs set aside in the room and sit down, putting one of his legs of his knee and crossing his arms over his chest- more than content to stay out of the unfolding squabble.

"My oh my so serious boys~ and Jeon you're giving me shivers." she laughed after the men in the room and Jeon delivered their monologues. She wasn't one for the burdens of high command like Kenshin and her huswife. It must have been a terribly tough position for all of those involved. The twins and Kenshin whom had the weight of the empire on their shoulders, and Shadow who was clearly burdened by the past. "I think this tryst is above me however. My dear Jay and Jeon I think I'll be staying with my mother until the house is recovered. Shadowโช Please don't think too harshly of my spouse's words. He cares for us all." With that she turned and left the office. Before leaving she flashed a quick wink to Belamos.

[x] While the twins' words left a bad taste in my mouth, Kenshin's barking flat out pissed me off with his threat. He was like a loyal dog with a lot of bark but wouldn't bite unless his master told him to. Or at least, that's how he seemed. I half hoped he would give in and attack, giving me the justification I needed to leave the village. With all the changes, I'd already been considering it, but now that I had some sort of ray of hope again in this dark world, I needed that extra push to walk away. Especially because it seemed now I would never be trusted. Fine then. I flashed an apathetic glance the police officer's way, but that was the extent of acknowledgment I gave him.
"Loyalty is about more than just a headband." My gaze flicked back to the twins, and then away again as someone else entered. The man who entered appeared to be injured, beaten, but I didn't like the look he gave, or his words, interrupting our conversation in a derogatory manor. While he may not have intended it as such, his words insinuated I was nothing to him. Though I supposed that was nothing new.
The green haired woman from earlier spoke up. I'd almost forgotten she was there. Much kinder than the others in her words, at the very least, but she couldn't understand the position I was in. I knew the Arashikages were only doing what they believed was best for their village, but coming from an outsider's perspective... It wasn't so simple.
"Loyalty is about more than just a headband," I repeated, but continued this time. "It's about your allies, and the comrades you make. No other village ever came to our aid as our village was torn apart and drowned under a league of water. All we had was ourselves, the few of us that survived, to rebuild everything. So I hope you can understand why just picking up someone else's headband isn't easy. Are you saying that if Arashigakure fell, you would just swear yourself to someone else?" I paused briefly, taking a deep breath. They had mentioned building something 'new and better', but I chose against making any sort of remark. I didn't want to bring on that sort of negativity just yet, but it was a slap in the face as far as I was concerned. It discredited all of the effort that was put into our home, all the pain we went through defending it. I subconsciously rubbed my metal arm at the memory of Hashgroth and his tiger companion. "Regardless, I left the village well before the others were forced into exodus. A lot happened that I'm not at liberty to explain, but it's the reason I'm here. I just want a place I can live in relative peace, and if that means I have to find somewhere else to make my home, so be it.
"But that headband means nothing to me."
Take it or leave it. Either I was going to be booted from the village for speaking out of turn, or they would let me stay. If staying meant I would receive no more missions, then I supposed I would settle for refining my crafting skills. None of those options were a particular hindrance, and I made sure to give that air despite my concerns with leaving.
[Are you sure about this?] I felt Saiken's worry bubble inside me. [You'll be vulnerable if you leave.]
What choice do I have? I can't just turn my back on everything we've done. Jack would expect this from me.
"Kick his a** out," the Gyuki laughed behind his cage...cages. Jay and Jeon inwardly offloaded their irritating with what Shadow had elected to say. Hoenstly, it really felt like he had ignored the important parts of what had been said to him, and it really drove Jay up a wall that he chose to say the headband meant nothing to him. The Hachibi preyed upon that as he sat within his cage and listened to the both of them stew. Jeon looked at the Yang, all but growling at him to shut up which elicited further laughter from his gaping Oxen Maw. For long minutes in their suspended time the two of them wallowed, ignoring the Gyuki sitting at the edge of that mass expanse between them. "I just don't understand it. It's like the fact that I said we ARE all that's left of Kiri literally doesn't matter to him. Not to mention we didn't come help because we were also at war, trying to stop the very people... ******** it." Jay said throwing his hands up into the air. "I get it, trust me. And I'll be sad to see him go, but I don't have any personal attachment to him either way beyond basic levels of interest. This is one of those times, honestly, where being the leader is rough. What with the terrorists that exist, hot heads like Belamos, and our own homegrown threats I can't justify leaving Shadow here within the walls taking up space and resources, small as they are, without pledging. And also, I feel a point needs to be made." Jay nodded as the Gyuki narrowed his eyes at the backs of their heads. "Indeed. There's also the matter of-""I'll address Kenshin." Jay nodded with a smile and fully let himself be calm.
The only clue that this had all gone on was that they both furrowed their brows for the briefest of moments. Jeon turned her head to the captain. "Kenshin. Learn to control yourself, or I'll be sure to have you work under Lt. Maka to relearn patience." Sharp as her tongue had been, she turned her head to Belamos next, not missing a Beat as her brother followed her focal point with his own eyes. "Belamos. The next time my door is closed, you will knock before entering." Her eyes lingered on him for just a second, and even as the heat had momentarily risen, now there was an entirely different sort of heat in the room. The sun could be hot, sure, but it was nothing to the raw power that came from a lightning bolt. After allowing her eyes to linger for just a few moments, almost apathetic, she turned her eyes to Shadow. "It's unfortunate that you feel that way, Shadow, truly, because all of your brothers and sis... sorry your former brothers and sisters from Kirigakure before you left it joined with the people from the lightning country to form something new. Your question is irrelevant. An entire non-sequitur. If Arashi was destroyed today, and several other downtrodden nations came together with a benefactor and allowed to craft something worth sharing with others and worth protecting, I would absolutely pledge allegiance to my new home."
His irritation got the better of him, and at an inhale Jeon recognized as him about to snap she turned to look at his steel gaze. "In fact, since you asked, I've had to do it twice now. My people didn't have the luxury of tall strong walls to protect them. I was in the Kumo military working my way to a place where I could improve living conditions when the UHV attacked and left them with less than nothing but broken hope and dreams. Shiro, and more than that WE gave our people a new home in Kumo. Freedom and the right to live wasn't something we knew until we did so, and for all that Kumo gave us, we gave back. We are Swamp babies. I didn't even learn your common tongue until I was 8, and yet somehow when our home was destroyed and a new land gave us the chance, we joined them just as much as they joined us. It happened again when we were chosen to create this place, when we found it and by the willpower of Kumogakure's pioneers, the refugees of Kiri and the newly freed UHV military states we joined together, and made something more. This headband means nothing to you?" Jay asked lifting the symbol of the village into the air: a lightning bolt adorned on either side by various spiraling symbols to every village. "Then by your own admission the work, hardship and accomplishments of Kirigakure too, mean nothing to you."
Jeon touched his hand and patted it. He blinked, noting the lines of darkblue electricity she had smothered with her hand, and put the headband on the desk. "I think little more needs to be said. You've got a few days to consider what your words meant and, possibly, to pack your things and make your arrangements. Dismissed." Once more, the both of them looked at him as if her words were not optional. The secretary moved to hold open the door, also looking expectantly. When he did leave, their eyes in unison fell on Belamos. "Belamos, I've lost my ability to be calm. Before you say whatever it is you have to say you have something to answer as well. Just as I've asked Tsuki, and just as I've asked Shadow I will do the same here." Jeon took up the end of his statement. "Simplified, are you going to join Arashigakure officially, or will you be taking your leave?"

__ The real Kenshin, who was leaving the CORE Compound, was unable to sustain his final shadow clone after days of not sleeping and leading the village as the temporary leader. After Shadow finished speaking and before the twins would respond the clone disappeared in a cloud of thin smoke from the original Kenshin's complete exhaustion.
