Quick question for the GM. I got a character in mind, but need permission to go through with it. Can I play a kobold?

I have zero problems with a kobold.

Rag: Low-light or darkvision; I don't have my books, so I could be wrong, but I thought Kobolds had a special sense.
The others seem peachy, though Duren and Morenth are missing histories.
Hanging out with an old friend today, and game night is tonight, so, I will finish up later tonight or tomorrow after work. Ether way, I plan to be running by Saturday.

No special sense from their listing. And yea, I'm going to be working on his backstory.

Straight-up back-of-monster-manual Kobold has no special sense, which surprised me too. Which is weird, because the actual kobold monster entries have darkvision.
Maybe something errata'd in but I never updated/noticed?

After asking a friend who has ALL the 4e/3.5/3e books to look it up... Kobolds were Updated/upgraded in the Dungeon Survival Handbook, along side with goblins and Sirv...um... the underground gnomes. sweatdrop
The more you know...

Ah, I don't have Dungeon Survival Handbook. So I just used the MM one. I'm quite fine with it. A kobold that isn't so much weaker than anything else of it's own 'LA'.
