Huey looked from Dianna to Beep, trying to assess their strength. It wasn't noticeable to the naked eye, but the boy got the feeling that the candies he'd fed his pokemon had done their job, they were definitely ready for the gym battle now. The blonde gave a wide smile and jammed his hands onto his hips. "Okay!" he spoke in a tone that was just above conversational level, earning him both his pokemon's attention and the attention of a few passing trainers. He ducked his head down at their curious gaze, his confidence wavering just a bit, but sucked in a bit of air before he lifted his head.
"Alright guys," he tried again, at a lower volume this time. "We're going to challenge Burgh. Dianna, I don't expect you to have any trouble, seeing as how this is a bug-type gym." Dianna grunted before she punched her palm, her flames flaring in her excitement. Huey laughed softly. "Beep, that tail of yours will come into use, so I'll switch you in if we come up against a pokemon that might prove a bit tricky." Beep nodded his head in understanding, puffing out his chest before he wagged his tail.
Yup! There were most definitely ready! Huey let his arms all down to his side before he marched out of the pokemon center, leading the charge directly to the gym. Of course... he didn't quite expect to step into an art gallery, but his surprise only lasted long enough for him to sweep his gaze over the many framed pictures before he went off to find Burgh. Once he found the photographer it was only a matter of requesting to battle him and sending out Dianna when the man agreed.

Gym Leader Burgh
Despite his loss (and a rather big one at that), Burgh was smiling as he returned his pokemon. "What a brilliant battle!" he exclaimed, "You're pokemon's passion was positively radiant! And that fire!" He swept forward, arms spread wide and a grin on his face. "A truly inspiring spectacle." He came to a stop, brandishing a badge, and a TM. "Young man, you're pokemon are quite strong," he continued, with less gusto, "I can tell you've trained them well. You've earned these-- the Insect Badge, and the TM Struggle Bug, which I used earlier against your Flaafy. I must admit, I didn't expect my bug to go down at the hands of an electric type." He gave a nod. "But you certainly pulled off a fabulous show."

Huey grinned at the praise, although it was directly primarily at his pokemon he couldn't help the pride that welled up inside of him. He had trained his pokemon well, just as Burgh had pointed out, and he hoped to continue that. "Thank you, Burgh," the boy managed to voice his gratitude and for a moment took his eyes off the man to look at both his pokemon, who had now joined his side. Beep seemed far more excited than Dianna, though maybe that was just because she expressed most of her emotions inwardly, and wagged his tail back and forth until it blurred. Huey turned back to Burgh when his badge and TM were presented to him and scooped it up with a bow of the head and a murmur of thanks, he put the two in their designated sections before he took his leave, but not before saying goodbye. "Have a good day!"
Huey hummed happily to himself once they left the gym and headed straight back to the Pokemon Center. Although his pokemon hadn't taken too much damage, it was a good idea to get them back to their full health. Beep wagged his tail throughout the duration of their walk, still as happy as a Clampearl, only to falter in his steps when his body began to glow. His bleat of surprise caught Huey's attention, who turned back around to look at him, but realized a second before his trainer what was happening and began his tail wagging anew at the prospect of evolving. It was about time!
The bright light fully enveloped the Mareep before his form began to change, and said change started with an increase in height: Beep sprouted up a good foot or two, quickly reverting into a bipedal form. When the light died away a monochrome Flaafy stood tall, its tail wagging furiously. "You evolved!" Huey proclaimed, stating the obvious, and moved in to hug his newly evolved pokemon, but he was beaten to the punch and instead found Beep's arms wrapped tightly around him. "Flaa~"

Once the joy of a new evolution simmered down Huey continued on to the Pokecenter, leaving Beep to revel in the new chapter in his life that were arms. He waved them around, flapping them up and down rapidly as if he were a bird, and then stuck them straight out in front of him. These were so... cool! Now he could stop carrying things in his mouth--it wasn't as if he had anything against mouth-carrying, but he'd found that, overtime, a lot of things had unpleasant tastes, tastes that ultimately got onto his tongue and proved difficult to wash out--and more than one thing at that! Truly, this was a great day, and he didn't fail to rejoice in this. "Flaaffy~ Flaaffy~ Flaaaaaaaaa-ff-yyyyy~"
Huey couldn't help but to laugh at his pokemon's excitement, though gently shushed him once they entered the red building. If growing taller and gaining new limbs was exciting to the Mare--Flaafy, then he'd be over the moon for his final evolution. Ampharos were notably taller than their previous evolution, and they even had a mega-evolution, what was even better was that he had the stone that would allow him to do just that! His cheeks were beginning to hurt with all this smiling he was doing, but he didn't care! Or well.. the pain hadn't gotten to the point where he cared.
Beep was the first to approach the counter, awkwardly propping and leaning his arms on it to begin to peer over it. So that's what was behind the counter: more floor! How fascinating! With his tail still sweeping back and forth the pokemon could barely keep still long enough to be returned to his pokeball so that he could be healed. It took a few minutes, but eventually Huey handed his pokeball-bound pokemon over to Nurse Joy and waited patiently for them to be returned.
While he waited the boy decided to rehash his active party up a bit, subtly switching Rags for Tybalt, and put away a few of his pokemon into the PC. Although he didn't like the idea of his pokemon staying confined in a computer he would do it, just the once, at least until his father arrived. Then he'd hand them over to him and have Andrew care for them, the Breeder had told him long ago that if he ever needed, he could send him any extra pokemon to care for. It was good practice, both as a breeder and extending out a little brotherly love.

Huey was still waiting for his pokemon to be returned when he decided to do an inventory check and, if needed, throw out a few items he no longer needed. Shuffling over to a lone table the boy unceremoniously dumped his bag out, though failed to anticipate the tidal wave of items that came spilling out. With a soft sigh the boy quickly dropped down to pick up the few things that had rolled off the table and onto the floor. Once they had been collected, and he did a quick sweep of the immediate area to make sure he had gotten everything, he sat down and began looking over the items he'd managed to store up throughout his journey.
Ten minutes in and Huey mentally decided to check his bag more often, he'd ended up finding items he didn't even realize he'd had! Some berries, more rare candies a stone, and even a potion! Not to mention a crumpled up piece of paper he'd come to recognize as an envelope, a stamp already pasted onto it and ready to send. Huey hummed thoughtfully to himself before he pushed the letter onto his lap, he didn't want to put this away just yet. Besides those was the bag of candy he always kept with him, stale and out of date (he needed to replace those with more up-to-date confections) and a Ragecandybar. As big of a chocolate fan as he was, and he was a HUGE fan of chocolate, he recognized that the bar had more use than a delicious treat for him to enjoy. If you gave this to a Professor you could get a starter, it was just a shame that he didn't really have much need for anymore pokemon at the moment.
Huey left his pile of items just long enough to collect his pokemon once Nurse Joy was finished, and quickly returned to the table to clean up and put the rest of his items away. He kept the letter and Ragecandybar out, however; he had a cousin who lived in Kalos who would probably find use for this. The blonde shouldered his bag, rolled his shoulders clockwise, recalled from memory his cousin's address and quickly scribbled that onto the letter, and released Beep and Dianna before he exited the Pokecenter, making for the post office to send his letter off.

tabAfter finally getting comfortable enough to sleep, Kraven nodded off and awoke a little late the next morning. When she finally sat up and stretched her arms, it was almost noon, though considering they hadn't gotten a room till late it was to be expected. She managed to get up first though, and quickly got dressed before collecting her things. By the time Phoenix had woken up, she'd already put her headphones on and started queuing up her next song. She already mentioned she'd needed to do some quick shopping, so she decided to go on ahead and get that on, intending to meet back up with her around the docks.
Telling her companion her plans and heading out ahead, she skirted her way around of the desk clerk, and headed off towards one of the clothing shops in the area. Letting Gungnir, Torch, and Hazel out on the way, she quickly went about her business. She bought a simple grey set of baggy pajamas from a small shop, before heading over to the PokeMart and buying some other items she found on sale. Got a good haul, even some interesting crystals that couldn't seem to decide on their color. Once she'd found a way to fit everything inside her bag, she decided to make one more stop before heading for the docks.
Kraven hadn't exactly eaten yet, so she decided to quickly stop for a bit of food at one of the vendors sprinkled around the roads. She found one the road leading to the bridge, selling freshly baked pretzels, with the smell traveling well down the road. The ebon-haired girl bought one of the larger ones from the vendor, and turned to walk away when she suddenly felt her grip devoid of the warm snack. She looked off to the side just in time to see a small fox pokemon running away, bamboo around its neck and her food in their mouth. Eye twitching, the woman dashed off to chase the pokemon, following it all the way over the bridge and back into the forest beyond.

Huey looked absently in the direction of the train station on his way out of the post office, his left hand swinging idly by his side. He still had about an hour to kill before his father arrived, but training was the only idea that came to mind to pass the time. Maybe that wasn't a bad thing though, he did want to get both himself and his team stronger, so maybe instead of doing the tradition training he could do something a bit unorthodox, at least to him. He could jog! Maybe! Or do some jumping jacks, definitely something active at least. He'd have to think on it...

Cyrus entered the city, brushing off any excess sand that was on him. Argo settled down on his shoulder once more, and the dark haired male made his way to the pokemon center real quick. He had to make sure he wasn't carrying Papyrus around, fainted. In case he would need the ground type sooner than he thought. He then deposited some pokemon from his bag that he didn't plan to use any time soon. It didn't take long for him to finish up in the center and head back towards Central Plaza.
Along the way, a wild Petilil crossed his path, seeming to be looking for a challenge. "Alright Stow. Time to stop being lazy and show me what you've got." Cyrus reached into his shirt pocket, pulling out the rattata. Stow yawned, whiskers twitching before jumping out of his trainer's grasp and leaping into battle. The rat actually enjoyed battling, and eagerly started things off with a fearsome gust of snowy wind. "Whoa... Blizzard, huh? Nice... I knew you would come in handy." Cyrus commented after the grass type was dispatched. The Rattata then came back to be picked up by Cyrus before they continued on.

Cyrus couldn't help but immediately be impressed by Stow, even letting him hold the Choice Scarf that he found back in the desert. It really suited the tough little rodent. A wild Rattata showed up for a challenge, to which Cyrus sent Stow out. "Let's see what else you have, Stow." he said. To his surprise, Stow let loose a strong bolt of electricity at the opponent, stunning it before taking it out with another. "Thunder too? You are full of surprises, little guy." Cyrus exclaimed after the battle, picking up Stow after. Argo puffed up his feathers, a bit jealous, but his trainer didn't pay it any mind.
He finally got to Central Plaza, finding a bench to sit on while he waited for Apollo. He soon got a response from the other, reading the message. The dark skinned male reached up to run one hand back through his light hair, scratching at the back of his head. It wasn't like he could actually forget everything they've been through. Sure, there were some things that maybe he didn't remember in great detail, but... Cyrus sighed and got to responding to Apollo.

A wild Audino showed up. Even though it didn't seem to be really looking for a fight, Stow jumped forward to take it down. Cyrus didn't bother stopping it - he was rather in awe over the rodent's power. And with the Choice Scarf, he was making quick work out of every pokemon he challenged.

Apollo stifled a yawn and gave a stretch as he entered Castelia City and once he got himself situated he headed straight for the Pokecenter, it was a trainer's priority, after all, to make sure his pokemon were in tip-top shape at all times. He held off on texting Cy to alert him of his new location, deciding to surprise him instead, and after he entered the red building and handed over his pokeballs to Nurse Joy he spent some time leaning idly against the counter, his foot tapping the tiled floors to a beat that played only in his head, before he decided to put a few more pokemon up in the PC. He had actually been playing around with the idea of giving his Blitzle to a younger cousin on his father's side, since he hadn't been able to train the pokemon or even give it any real attention. The eleven year old's birthday was coming up soon and he knew she was a fan of equestrian-like pokemon, more importantly, she actually took good care of her pokemon.
While he waited for his pokemon he shot his Uncle a text, checking to make sure the girl didn't already have a Blitzle and if they had enough room to care for another pokemon. By the time he'd finished and sent the message his favorite pink-haired lady had returned with Caltrop's pokeball. Apollo placed his communicator away and strode back to the counter, flashing Nurse Joy a smile before he took his pokemon back. After securing the capsule back onto his belt he headed back out, his new destination Central Plaza.
