Tyrese nodded, "Yes, I mean it. You don't have to be scared, even if something does make me mad, I'll forgive you for it in a heartbeat." He reassured her quietly. He picked her up with on arm, taking the towel in the other and taking it to the laundry. "Yup, I'll just have it cleaned some other time. How about that trip to the beach now? We don't want it to get too late out." He turned off the tv and picked up the dishes to take downstairs. He had been getting stir crazy anyways, besides, they needed some fresh air. It wasn't likely Sela would get sick, right?

Tyrese noticed Sela's movements, a small smile appearing as she laid her ear to his chest. She was such a curious mind. He did mean every word he said to her, he wasn't ever going to stay mad at his daughter. He was going to make mistakes too, he'd already made one over the span of five years. Sensing she was growing tired, he grabbed the blanket draped over the back of the couch and draped it over one shoulder. "Yes, I'll invite mommy right now." He replied, finding his cellphone and keys before walking out the door. Perhaps she would fall asleep before they got there and he could just walk her home. He paused at the door step. "Hey Lil, Sela is asking for you. Want to meet us at the beach?"

Tyrese stoked a yawn with his hand, "I'm sure she will." He replied, then feeling his phone vibrato in his hand as it chipped. He was in the middle of replying when it chipped again with another message. This one was from Finn and he blew his hair back. "Your timing, I swear. We were just heading to the beach to meet Lillian." He waited a few seconds before finishing his text to Lil. "Heading out now, she might be asleep by time I get there." Finally the phone went into his pocket.

He made sure the door was locked before walking down the driveway. He remembered the way there from Finn's place, he was sure he could navigate from here. Maybe once Sela and Lillian got to talk, Lil might consider...He sighed. Maybe next time.

Tyrese Tyrese smiled, "That sounds great." something with lots of meat, he loved anything that involved lots of meat, with seasonings that made it extra savory. With steak fries and yes even those pickles Sela mentioned. Oh, and he had this awesome cajin mayo spread he could whip up. Hmm, yes, that all sounded quite lovely.

Walking up the driveway, he fished out his keys and unlocked the door, letting them both in with a relieved sigh. Tyrese smiled, "Lets run you a bath and you can get all cleaned up while daddy cooks." He suggested, walking to the guest bath and putting the bluenette down. He hummed quietly as he turned on the water and waited for it to warm up. "There's bubble bath under the sink, do you want to grab some for me?"

Tyrese poured in a cap-ful of the bubble bath once the water was a few inches high, testing the temperature again as he remained squatted down beside the tub. He turned it off once the water was coated over by a sea of foam. "We're buying supplies that will make mommy's surprise super fancy. It's just a super special way to ask her to go to the fall ball with me." He explained, using the glass wall of the shower to help get himself up. He walked to a shelf and pulled down the fluffiest towel he had available, laying her clothes over it and sitting them on top of the toilet seat. "Go ahead and take your bath, daddy will be in the kitchen. and be careful by yourself." He patted her head before walked out the door.

Tyrese walked into the kitchen, grabbing hamburger meat and ground sausage from the freezer to defrost in the microwave. He heard Sela splashing and chuckles as he pulled pepperoni, provolone cheese, and marinara sauce from the fridge along with all the other usual burger toppings. He pulled out his hamburger buns and pulled out his nonstick frying pan. baked fries to go with this...but should he include some kind of vegetable? He pursed his lips. They would have a salad with dinner, that would balance it out. Yes, grinned salmon with a chicken walnut salad. He pulled out the fish and put it in the sink to thaw.

The fries were given a ten minute head start while the meats thawed.

The hamburger and sausage were defrosted with a ding to give him the heads up. He smiled and dumped them both into a bowl, well, half of each packet into one of two bowls he had laid out. He mixed them both, one seasoned with Italian seasoning and the other with pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Two patties were put on at once, although he doubted Sela would eat more than one burger. Two would be pizza burgers, and the other two would be traditional. He didn't know if he had a picky eater for a child, so this was a safety net. He quickly remembered her pickles and plucked them out of the fridge.

The pizza burgers were topped with provolone once cooked, he let the cheese melt before topping them with pepperoni. While it continued melting together, he toasted the hamburger buns with butter and laid out four on his cutting board. Two were topped with lettuce, tomato, and sharp cheddar, the last two smeared with marinara sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan. The first two patties were sat on their buns, juices running down the sides. This, ladies and gents, was food porn at its bloody best. Ha! Damn it, he was a master hands down. He mused at himself as he cooked the last two patties, whipping up Cajun mayo in the mean time.

Mayo spiced with chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and a splash of lemon juice. Sela could have some of she liked spicy food, for now it just went on his. The last two patties and the fries finished at once, and he pulled the pan from the oven before turning off the stove. The last two hamburgers were dressed, one of each variety cut in half so Sela could try both. He fixed her plate with her pickles and fries and sat it at the table in the formal living room. He sat his plate there next, along with a cup of apple cider for each of them. Perfection. He was damn cocky when it came to cooking,cooking was his specialty, besides making tea and writing a good book here and there.

"Sela! The food is ready." He called, one hand to his mouth to project his voice. He listened for her response before going to run the dishwater in the kitchen sink.

Tyrese stopped the water and put in several dishes that could soak if need be. "Why, thank you darling.' He hummed, returning to see Sela seated on the couch. He sat on the floor across from her. "Yeah, that's the plan. Then we're stopping by mommy's house." He replied, taking his phone out of his pocket and texting the Teagans. "Wanna try for dinner at my place? I'll even make dessert." By then they should be back in time to greet the couple at the door; perhaps even sooner than that if he didn't have to go to multiple stores. "Want to write the shopping list for me?" He was going to assume she could write before he spoke as if she couldn't, she was cross when she teased her about her ability to read. He didn't want to forget anything, he was more excited to surprise the blonde than he was to actually go to the bar. He hardly stayed in his clothes as it was, he hated suits and tuxedos and all that other formal clothing. "Oh yeah, daddy has to take a quick shower before we leave." He chuckled.
