Machiko was pulled above the surface by Hiru and coughed up the water in her lungs. She looked over to where the boat wa and saw the dreadful sight of it sinking. I hope everyone made it... she thought. That was a stupid move... I knew I couldn't swim... But what choice did I have? She heard Hiru explain that there were no sharks around, but there were four mexicans. Great.

Then she heard someone cry out for about a split second and it got quiet. She quickly turned her head in the reaction of the cry startling her. "What was that?!" She turned towards Hiru to see his eyes wide, like he's seen a ghost. She thought it would be best to ask when they were out of the water.

When Hiru pulled Machiko she coughed out the rest of the water clogging up her lungs. "Hiru, do you know where we are? And do you know what that cry was from?"

Luna twisted herself in circles around the wreckage.
Things were going badly, but she wasn't sure what to do. In the distance, she was vaguely aware of several dark-skin-black-hair-screaming-people. Adrien was swimming towards them.
And also aware of Machiko, who was coughing. But she was all right. Hiru was helping her.
Indie was cradling the instant-twin-baby.
She didn't know how to give comfort. She could fight. She could argue until her enemy was arguing exactly against the point they had started with. She knew how to lie, cheat, steal, kill. But she couldn't handle emotion. She just didn't know how.

Luna dived under the water again, swimming around and watching the darting shadows of the hungry sharks.
Maybe the least she could do was ease the minds of the ones above.
The slimy-fin-jagged-tooth-sharks weren't the biggest predators here anymore.

(Actually, Taka and Red Eyes are presumed dead at this point. XP Character Abuse! =D)

Indie was having trouble keeping her child from crying. It was all she could do to keep from crying herself. Taka and the other twin had disappeared beneath the waves. There was a monster blocking the gate, not to mention the mexicans, so going back with a child seemed hopeless.

It occured to Indie that she had never named either of the girls.
"Evana" indie said, uncharacteristically softly, "Your name is Evana..."

Evana slowly stopped crying when she heard her name. Her blue eyes looked up at Indie in a calm manner.

Indie punched Adrian in the face.
"STOP FLIRTING WITH ANYONE WHO HAS BOOBS!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. Truly now was not the time for romance.
(XD, sorry, I personally don't have any issue with your character, but it's just how I picture Indie's personality. She's a demon-woman who doesn't take crap from nobody! Mmmhmm! XP)

Teku Aroz (a green Zora) emerged from the waters. He had been partnered with Luna earlier in the story, however, one of the authors forgot to include him in the story (whoops) so he deemed this opportunity to be a good time to have Teku pop up.

Teku, after cursing his agent (aka Sora VioGreen), saw Indie punching Adrien and sweatdropped at the sight (Thank you Octavia for coining that verb. XP).
"Don't you think that was a bit harsh?" He asked Indie.

Indie merely turned her head slowly with lightning bolting from her eyes with a sinister grin.
"You're next..." She said creepily, her voice suddenly turning raspy as a witch's hex. "Well, actually Hiru's next because I haven't gotten my revenge on him yet, but I could pencil you in, oh say, next Tuesday?"

"Ehh, Tuesdays are bad for me..." Teku replied, getting out his task book. Together, they began trying to figure out a reasonable date for Indie's revenge.

"Oh my gosh, Dragon Force XD6!" Teku hugged Luna with a grin. The name he had assigned her was very odd indeed. O.o

Adrien was sent flying back a few feet. Standing up he held his face a little and rubbed it. "...I'm not flirting with you! Just trying to make you not moody!" he exclaimed as he walked over to the group again.

Hiru stared out into the water. He didn't know why everyone was saying that there were sharks in the water. He hadn't seen any. Without turning to Machiko, he said, "Well.... if I'm where he think we are.... umm...." He shook his head, rephrasing the sentence for a second try. "I mean, if we are where I think we are, then.... We shou-." Just like that, he was cut off by commotion in the water. The Mexican who had been pulled under suddenly exploded out of the water, flying toward the far brick wall near the blocked door. The body hit the wall and fell, landing on dry land with a clank.... wait, a clank? Hiru stood up to look at the body. Whatever it was that had done this was obviously no shark. And there was something metallic and heavy on the Mexican's body.

A second time, the body burst up into the air, crashing into the double-doors and breaking through them with another loud clank, this one louder than the first. The body was destroyed, but the metal object broke through. The doors fell, slamming noisily on the other side of the far wall. The burning rubble fell through, clearing a rough path over the rubble through the doors. When it landed, the metal object rolled to a stop on the ground. It laid there in the shape of a crude ball, covered in blood. Mexican blood. Robot gloop and red soup, with tacos.

Hiru started down the path around the water, following it up to where it turned toward the door. His eyes turned red, the demon feeling out for any kind of presence. There was nothing. No signs of life, no movement at all.
