F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Alex laughed and took off out of the kitchen again to go back to reading the beautiful scrips again. Marri looked over at Aesa and chuckled a little bit nodding. "Pretty much, he was always very set, but after his father died and he had to take care of Alex, no one has been able to stop him for long. I'm sure he might stay to the evening. While he's unbreakable and untamable, it seems you've weakened him. Ever since you've gotten here, he's been off set as if you've completely thrown his world for a spin. He's always been stuborn, but he's seeming to finally open up a little," she said with a smile before she sat down at the table with Aesa. She rested her head on her hand curious on why Aesa seemed so intrigued by this young man. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa didn't allow herself to put too much stock in Mari's words - she had seen how protective he could become of Alex so she had downplayed her own abilities to cope in order to get him to stay. He seemed unable to help the downtrodden when they were in need and she would expoloit that trait if it would assist in getting him well. "There's no mystery there - I've bullied him into his bed. He has told me of his past and his quest to regain his position in this society. Is he able?" Mari didn't know very much about Mari but she had learned enough about the blind woman through conversation and observation - she was a seer and as such would be better able to answer her question than many. However her class of mage often took to answering important questions cryptically or in riddles - or simply being vague. Aesa did not know if their answers were tied up in their magic or not and she had never met one to ask.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Marri looked at her and sighed loudly shaking her head. It wasn't that she doubted his strength or stamina, she doubted how much he truly wanted. He would probably stay on the run until he was shot down. "I don't think he can. He doesn't have a good enough reason. He's been surviving on his own for a while now and same with supporting Alex, but he doesn't want to be the Prince bad enough," she said calmly sighing wising that it wasn't true. It would be so much better if he could fix up this society but she didn't believe he could. She wished it weren't true, but it was. That was all there was to it. The simplest way to describe it. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa was surprised by Marri's answer enough that she was quiet for a full minute before she continued the conversation. For someone who had such faith in his abilities she did not hesitate to denounce his own drive in that particular area. However, she seemed to know him exceedingly well so there must be a reason she would doubt him. After contemplating her next question, Aesa pushed ahead, "He had said that he would as a matter of course take back what was rightfully his though you are right that he did not seem...driven I suppose is the best way to describe it. He mentioned that it was his duty to do so and I know without question that he is a very honorable man. I believe he would be a worthy King if his desire truly laid in that direction. If not for that what does he wish for?" That had the potential to be a loaded and personal question but so far Marri hadn't withheld anything that she could tell so if not now - when would she ask?

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Marri folded her hands in her lap hearing the young mage's confusion in her voice. She knew it didn't make much sense but it made perfect sense to herself and that she knew was for a fact. It wasn't as much as she doubted the young man's abilities, but she doubted his wants. "A hero, he wants to keep someone safe and be able to protect them. He already has the life of a rich man or at least what he understands of it. I'm just figuring that he wants to feel like he's actually done something. That's why he drives himself to the near brink of death with you. He wants to keep you safe, he wants to help you get back to where you are. Yet, he's hesitant about that choice because he understands it as a way of heartbreak," she said softly just piecing that together from what she'd known from being around him. She stood up to get some water before hearing footsteps upstairs and knowing they were his as they were loud and had no rhythm. She sighed loudly and took some water drinking it thankfully wondering if he was going to come down here and join them. When a loud slam sounded, she sighed and rolled her eyes. "I guess he went back to bed," she said without worry in her voice, just a hint of irritation. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace had gotten up when he smelt food trying to make his way to the door before he tripped and fell down. Being already as achey as he was, he hadn't tried to get up and settled for laying on the cold floor. He grabbed the blanket off the bed and tugged hard pulling it over himself and curling up in it before he heard Aesa's voice. "Yeah," he said groggily rubbing his eyes and looking up at her to where he knew she would be. He nuzzled back into the floor feeling his headache come back from the impact on the floor. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked up at her quietly and frowned at her look she gave him when she found him on the floor. He stood up with her help walking back to the bed but he glared at her for complaining at him sleeping on the floor an everything he's been doing. He sat laid down on the bed looking at her funny when she tucked the blanket around his body. He pushed some of it out except around his back where it was enjoyable. "I'm not. I like sleeping on the floor, I always do when I'm not feeling good. I tripped on the blanket," he said softly before nodding at the question if his stomach could tolerate the food.
"I'm not sick like that. Just sore as hell," he answered. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa looked thoughtful before she nodded and moved closer to him on the bed. “Good then.” Taking his hand she carefully placed the bowl in it and smiled to show he should go ahead and have something in his system. ”Well I suppose I could have brought you something a little heartier then. If you would like anything just let me know.” In his current state she didn’t think he would allow her to feed him though he was clearly weak as a kitten. She would wait - if he showed signs of flagging she would simply take the bowl from him and take over. ”Alex has arrived as well - and is as lively as always. She was worried for you but once we assured her you are alright she has taken up studying with Marri. It is good that you encourage her to broaden her horizons - I can see much potential in her if she finds a focus for all that energy.” Though she had known them both such a short time she just knew that Alex would tackle any task set before her with enthusiasm.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace sat up and took the bowl from her gently wincing a little bit at the small weight before he just put it up to his lips and downed it ignoring the hotness of it. He put it back down on the chest wincing yet again as if he'd been beaten down, not sick. He laid down on the bed again nodding about Alex. "I know, gets her in trouble too," he said with a small smile before he nuzzled his face again into the bed. He turned his face into the pillow though to growl before looking up at her again. "Why can't I ever just get a cold?" he asked at nobody really as he was just frustrated and mad right then. He wanted to get up, move and be out the door, but he was still pinned down. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa truly felt for Ace and wished she had the abilities necessary to have him complete healthy and hale. The best she could do at this time though would be to empathize with him and so she settled herself beside him once more, looking up at the carefully constructed mural on the ceiling. “She probably hasn’t even touched on the trouble she will cause in the future.” She meant that with no censure on Alex’s part - simply that a child with that much boundless energy was never meant for peace and quiet. Aesa herself did not have a very hearty constitution and was prone to colds and such if she so much as thought about them it seemed. It had made for some rather miserable training assignments when she had to camp in the damp marshlands of the higher world. ”I know it chafes to be laid out Ace but I for one am grateful that you are taking the time to rest your body and allow it to replenish itself. Thank you.” Here turned her head only to smile at him sincerely.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked at quietly and smiled a little. "That's what I was told growing up. You're welcome though," he said with a gentle smile. He was in a decent mood where he didn't hate any one right then and kind of just relax not minding it. He yawned loudly and stretched a little bit pulling the blanket around himself tightly. He pulled a hand out and looked at it as it tensed up and grew warm as he just looked at it. He wondered if he could do magic, he was told he had before, but he always blacked out after it and could never remember it that well. "What's it feel like to actually produce something from your spells, or magic, or charms, or what ever," he asked curiously. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark
