I think it's the constant deadlines, simultaneous assignments, and the knowledge that every single thing we turn in is vital to passing our classes. And on top of that, I know that I have forgotten about assignments before and gotten a zero on them. xp

I guess that must be it. Luckily, though, I still occasionally have neat spy-novel-esque dreams. At least school hasn't completely taken over the area of my subconscious that controls dreams.

Lately, I have been having dreams about this really cute guy I work with...

Were they naughty dreams? wink rofl

Last night, I stayed up until 4 AM reading Sailor Moon manga. Because of this, I dreamed about reading Sailor Moon manga. sweatdrop It is kind of a let down though. I mean, who dreams about reading manga? Why didn't I dream that I was a sailor senshi? gonk I remember dreaming that I was one before, but I didn't get any powers in my dream last night. Oh well... maybe I'll get some powers tonight....

I would like to have a nice dream with lots of romance and adventure, myself! Unfortunately, though, my dreams are usually either boring and mundane, or else they're about me reading a book, imagining myself as the main character, and acting out the story. I'm hardly ever actually living the story, just imagining that I am.

I didn't get to dream about Sailor Moon last night, but I did have a doozy of a dream. This is just about all I can remember from it, but the dream is rapidly slipping from my memory.

There was a war, and I was supposed to be writing about it. The war was supposed to last one week, and it was faught in a grassy area. Dew was fighting in it. I recall trying to get into a van in the parking lot of an apartment complex I used to live in so I could write days 2-4 of the war. It was urgent. And then somehow, I was at a store at night that sold everything outside, buying manga with about $80 worth of gift cards (that I don't have irl). I was standing there trying to figure out which volumes I didn't already (I can't remember which series), when someone told me to run for my life. The person yelled that if I didn't, then I would be hit by a drunk driver. I got out of the way, and I followed behind the car, watching it as it nearly hit just about everything. At the end of the road, somehow I was suddenly in the car with the formerly drunk driver, and someone was giving us Snapple tea to drink. I think at that point I was in some high school whose layout is completely unfamiliar to me irl. I was in some important contest. I was supposed to draw things on reality, almost like on the air, to represent something, but neither I nor my opponent could use words. I had oil pastel sticks to use, and I think I was really good at it. As I was leaving, people were impressed by me. But then I was trying to follow someone, perhaps someone I was interested in. Someone asked me if I had heard of Darren Shan (the only reason that I can think of that this would pop up was because a friend of mine had been looking for his books at Books-A-Million). Suddenly, scenes from the movie The Vampire's Assistant flashed before me; I think they were from the camp. I guess that this must have altered reality again, because I think I became the guy following the girl. But she kept feeding me cat food, and then she became Estella from Great Expectations. And then I think I woke up.

And I promise that all I did before bed was read Sailor Moon manga. sweatdrop The bad part is that I slept until about 1:30 PM. Then I lay in bed trying to recall my dream.

In answer to your earlier question, Chibi, yes. And I will add that I should be more careful what I wish for. (Earlier in this thread I wished that I would have dreams about a real guy)

I think I finally dreamed that I was Sailor Moon, but I'm not sure because I didn't fight any monsters. About all that I can remember is driving a bus from a passenger seat (I needed to get to the front to see better, but I couldn't). I also recall visiting Alvinette's house. Her house was REALLY clean! And her room was about 3 times as big as it really is. I was kind of in shock to see so much floor space. blaugh I also recall in my dream that was with two other people while staying in an apartment or something. This is the part that I think that I was Sailor Moon. The others might have been sailor soldiers, but I can't be sure. All I really know is that when we were leaving, they forgot their stuff, so I had to go back and get it for them. I also remember at the end of my dream (this is the only part of the dream that I can place chronologically), I was trying to find my cousin's house for some odd reason. But when I got there, I found that my cousin wasn't there. Instead, it was a lady I dearly loved from church who died a few years ago. She had been in her 90s when she died, but when I saw her, she appeared to be in her 50s, but it was unmistakable who she was. She said that she was planning on going back to church and seeing everyone soon. Oddly, this is the only part of the dream that I can remember clearly.

New Years dreams are supposed to be prophetic in Japan. They even dedicated an entire episode to New Years dreams in Azumanga Daioh. I wonder what my dream would say. sweatdrop

I had another somewhat epic dream last night. It was almost an entire day at school, or at least three periods and lunch. I had woken, got dressed, and teleported to school via the "instant transmission" effect that occurs when you're going places in dreams, and sat down in my class. It wasn't my school in real life, but I felt as if I had been there before, though in my memory I can't figure out where. It just seemed so familiar...

Anyway, it was Easter-crazy around there and everything had been so lazy. We were assigned to color this anime picture in Chemistry for whatever purpose, and then send to lunch, where I sat around lulling over my packets of fries and my hamburger. I don't recall eating them, but instead I wrote something on the sides, feeling as if I was going to cry the entire time.

I remember this much: "It wasn't until everyone had left that he had the courage to confront Samantha (this was a dream-alias for another girl, but I don't know who it is). She had been packing her things into her pack, getting ready to take off, and he put a hand on her shoulder, swallowing. He had been so nervous because her income was so high and his was so low, but he supposed it didn't matter now. "Samantha, would you go out with me sometime?" She stopped, turned around and patted him on the head, continuing what she was doing." And it blurs together over here, but she had said something along the lines of not knowing her very well.

I went to a math class then and hung around the back of the room, doing math problems, and some girl who happened to be named Samantha, who looked an awful lot like an old friend Hayley Bray, picked up my lunch packets and asked if she could read them. I encouraged her to, and she did, but had zero response to it. Just kinda smiled and handed them over I guess.

School was now out and I walked down the hallways, past a lot of people in bunny suits, and came to the entrance, which had changed from a flight of stairs to a grand flight of stairs by optical illusion - they had set paper down on the staircase to make it look like a multitude of stairs rather than just a single, simple walk up. I passed a lot of people sitting and waiting and went to the buses. It was only 3 PM but it was night outside (I suppose that meant I was in Alaska or something of the sort) and half of the bus drivers weren't there. I went to the last bus that was to be mine, and nobody was there either. I turned around and asked a woman who I don't remember where he was, and her only reply was, "Well Mr. Hess isn't here, I guess. If he was, there'd be at least one kid in his load. He always does. Guess you're going to have to wait."

I shrugged and went back to the school, where I sat down in a room with three televisions and watched two shows at once. One was the Disney channel showing some cute cartoons I used to watch, and the other a warped version, showing silly Goosebumps episodes. This one was about a shadow unicorn. This guy goes to his girlfriend's house because she had written for him a long letter about why she hadn't been coming to school and was totally horrified. He went into her closet, which she said was haunted, and there was a little black dinosaur that looked like a pair of black panties on the ground. He poked at them, laughed, and told her what it was, but it began moving and growling, so he ran away and slammed the door.

I smiled at this, but grew bored and went around the corner, plugged in my 360 into this very large television set, and started up Red Alert 3. This guy who was on the stairs, and was now here, looked up and told me how much he loved the game. I told him I sucked at it, and we started talking about old games, including one whose title I cannot remember. He called me an idiot for not getting what he meant and popped the game into my 360. It was a mod, I suppose.

I played this pair of rotating dice that had a large gun shooting people. I slid down this snake thing's back onto a platform, and jumped off (keep in mind, this is one of those 16 bit overhead games, like the Turbo Grafix), only to confront it again. I began to shoot at it, killed it eventually, and tried to pass it only for it to regenerate under me and lift me back up, waving its body around. Slowly, my body changed into a glass jar with a brain slowly growing out of it, and then bursting from the jar, and then back to the rotating pair of dice. I set the game down, nodded at the guy...

And then I finally awoke at 4 PM to the sounds of my sister screaming her head off at her baby (in play) downstairs. I felt real miserable too, for some reason, and I still do now that I'm out of bed...

I'm going to take a shower and get some laundry done.

I think I really should stop reading right before I go to sleep. NO, Chibi, I was not reading InuYasha again. In fact, it wasn't anime at all. I dreamed I was in a series called "Feral Warriors." THe basic story is a rather deep 'good vs. evil' plot. On one side, you have the High Daemon, who is enslaving a race of immortal Mage. As their name suggests, the Mage are magic-users and are very closely tied to nature. So close, in fact, that if one of them is killed, Earth herelf is enraged.

On the other side are the Feral Warriors, immortals who have been 'marked' by the spirits of predetory animals. The Ferals have the ability to shape-shift into the animal whose spirit they carry. They draw their spiritual energy from a woman referred to as the 'Radiant'.

In my dream, I seem to be just your average young woman. However, in the wierd way you just 'know' things in dreams, I know that I am the daughter of a Feral Warrior, and a Mage woman. My father is named Baere, referring to the fact that he carries the spirit of the bear. My mother is a Light-wielder. My elder brother controlls wind, my little brother controlls water. I control plants. One morning, I wake up, and there is a strange mark across my face. I go to my dad, and he looks upset and tells me that I have been marked as a Feral Warrior. He also tells me it would be very risky to go to Feral House (the Feral's home base) because the Feral's will know I am half-Mage and may try to kill me. On the other hand, if I don't go to them and participate in a ritual to call the beast within me within two years, I will die.

After very short contemplation, I leave to search for Feral House. One thing to note is that being half-Mage has given me 'Mage-eyes', which simply means that no matter what color my eyes are, there is a coppery ring around the iris. Because of my connection to plants, I always have a plant of some sort with me. I stop at a corner store for a quick rest, and as i'm leaving, i realize it's getting dark. I head into the woods, knowing my power mkaes me safer near plants, when a bunch of Mage suddenly surround me. They are all armed, and I'm thinking 'o s**t'. One of those times in dreams were you know you are screwed, and if you can just get your voice to work, you will wake up safe and sound. I finally managed to squeak out 'Spirits help me," and woke up.

Then I realized it was my day off, so I rolled over and went back to sleep.

I've had my fair share of school dreams too Diablos. The worst ones are when you dream that you got up, got dressed, and then went through a boring day of school, only to wake up and realize that you have to do it all over again. xp

Moriko, that sounds like an interesting dream! Did you kind of jump in your bed when you woke up? It's too bad that it's very rare to get a continuation on dreams. I've had some super power dreams too, and I always wish that I had been able to continue them.

I know that I've had really random dreams over the past few days, but I can't remember them. I guess that weren't that great. The weird thing is that I remember telling Alvinette about them. But now, I can't remember a single thing!
PostPosted: Thu Jan 07, 2010 11:18 am

Well, Chibi, if it makes you feel any better, I don't remember them either! blaugh And I've had some weird dreams myself this week, but I've been so busy during the daytime that I've forgotten what all of them were about.

I had an odd dream last night that I do remember. Just as a point of reference, my brother got a letter in the mail summoning him for federal jury duty. So, last night I dreamed that a friend of ours from church had been accused of being a rapist; however, though everyone knows that he is one of the most respectful people in the world, some fancy lawyer kept making everyone think that he was really bad. It gets worse. My brother had to defend him. xp It wasn't going so well... sweatdrop
