In a concert type setting the most we had was 21 which was the 7 and 8th grade combined band. The least we've had was 5 which my freshman year. This year we should have 10 or 11.
In marching band we have 3 currently. Sadly the majority of the other flutes are in colorguard.

BACK IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, WE USED TO HAVE SOOOOOOO MANY FLUTES. I JUST FINISHED MY FRESHMAN YEAR AND OUR CONCERT BAND HAD ONLY 5. sweatdrop

Thats in my 7th grade band, It's probably the Flute invasion in 6th grade, xO
In jazz, two[One of them is me]. Some Jazz bands don't have flutes.

20 if you count freshmen otherwise we have 14 and it is really unbalanced for the band (i want to play lets kick the less Sirius ones out but that would be mean since they have aright to be in the class) lol xd

Right now we have at least ten, maybe twelve. I know that there's seven in my period, most of us are freshman, and the rest in fifth period are either sophmore or above. There's another six or seven in that period. My guess is at least twelve to fourteen; I never count.

For the entire high-school band, maybe 10-15, but in my grade there are only two...

We have about 21 flutes. Every year we have way too many flutes. And they all think they play so well. When honestly, most of them need to quit, because they make us sound horrible.
Not to come off rude of anything. But at least I can admit I'm not the best player in the world. Sheesh...

In college- out of 270 in BUGWB we have 29 flute/piccolos
In HS- out of 203 we had 23 flute/piccolos
I think flute studio here is 20 or so but I'm probably wrong, I only have a couple of friends in it.

We have 2 for marching band (the rest are in flag line) and for concert band we have about 7.

Flute is a too popular instrument
There is about 10 in marching band, and maybe 5 piccolos. Thats okay.
Its Middle school Concert band [7-8 grade] There is 20 flutes.
There is only about 5 of every other instrument. My ears die alot x.x
