"Fine, I will make this quick" It seem the goliath woman has the better initiative as two powerful looking tentacles suddenly spring from the Goliath's back and lash out towards Ruin and Twyla. The scar on her exposed stomach opens up into a mouth filed with razor sharp teeth still bloody from her last bout with Valac's demon.

However, before the Goliath has a chance to finish her attack there is a puff of shadowy smoke behind her and Fumio appears with a dagger to her neck. The dagger reflects no light, almost as if it was made of shadow itself. "I think there has been enough death for one day. I would hate to add one as interesting to you to that number. I see even after our escape the elf is still up to her work." Fumiyo would motion to Ruin to stay his blade.

The Goliath woman would growl at Fumiyo. "You think that pathetic dagger will stop me."

Fumiyo would simply smile back. "Perhaps not, but I think a a fall from 100 feet in the air might have some substantial effects, even after what Menithlea has done to you. You are far to eager to so off your "gifts." let us return to the nice conversation you were having before. You are obviously stalling for some reason, would you mind telling use why? Your earlier comments were a bit...cryptic."

The fury in the goliath woman's eyes was almost palpable. "It would be a lot easier to talk without a dagger at my throat."

"Oh yes, how uncivil of me." Fumiyo would withdraw her blade and coyly move away to the side of Ruin and Twyla. "Now let us talk as one Demi to another, though be quick. In a few seconds my companions over there will destroy your precious gate unless you give me a good reason not to."

As Ruin stands there he feels the magic surrounding the gate get stronger, though this in turn allows him to get a better feel on what is going on. It is some sort of teleportation magic, though it seems to be pulling away form this place. After another moment or so Ruin realizes the Arains on the other side are recalling the gate. There is a good chance anyone standing on the portal will be teleported back with it. So far only the goliath woman remains on the platform.



A few hundred feet away the rest of the demi humans look astonished to see the Golaith woman transform.

"No way! She is one of us!"

"..."

"I don't remember her, they must have created her after we escaped. That means that horrible place is still in operation."

"But why is she helping Aria? None of this makes sense."

"It doesn't matters right now. Fumiyo up there now and seems to have diffused the situation. We better get up there if see if she needs assistance."

The Demi humans Ramona, Illya, Sylvia, Shi, and Seraphina begin to move up to the portal.

((Just a reminder to everyone Valac lost two healing surges and gained 40 hitpoints by drinking his two potions. Revenge is at one hit point. Valac and revenge are with Ramona and the rest of the Demi humans closer to the gate. They will arrive on scene after one post. Kuori is back at the wagons with the rest of the demi humans. I will post when Kuori arrives on scene as it will take her some time to catch up to everyone else.))

Valac being given a moment of respite was keen to settle a score with the Goliath and headed back to the gate.

Ruin would move quickly to try and block attack on against Twyla, but such tension went with Fumiyo's appearance.

Scratching the back of his head with his wand. He would take the given moment to examine the portal.

"As much as it is a joy to see you well, Fumiyo, and as much as I dislike sounding like a brazen fiend. She had no intention of leaving that platform, Seeing as my countrymen are closing the gate... Making combat simple and easy, if boring, against one such as her...And I would assume, that means they have a second one near by, or it is simple task for an agent to reconstruct. So, the destruction of this end, even at the cost of her life, would mean guano..."

Turning his attention back to the Goliath, "Am I right?"

The Goliath woman would retract her tentacles and close the mouth in her stomach to again appear like a normal humanoid.

She would glare angrily at Ruin. "I don't know about all that other stuff your blathering about but yeah fine, you figured it out. They are summoning back this portal to Aria. You guys must have licked them good cause there running with their tails between theie legs, but like I said I have nothing to do with what was going on here. My task is to guard this gate and once this portal is safely back in Aria they might finally let me...well, that's none of your concern, but lets just say It's important to me that I complete my task."

The goliath pauses, taking note of the rest of the Demi humans closing in on the gate. It is obvious with great pain to her pride that she utters her next words. "So just let them finish summoning this gate back, alright? Your safe. They're not coming back for you right now. You kicked their buts pretty hard. Just let me finish my job of keeping this thing intact."

((Assuming Valac is running, he can now arrive on scene, the rest of the Demi Humans will arrive after the next round of posting))



The Demi Humans, with exception of Sylvia the Mandragora Girl, move on ahead to the portal. Being suddenly by herself brings on a sudden bout of shyness but she overcomes it to talk to Revenge. "Y-your sure you don't want one of my potions? They really will heal your wounds! Look at how well your brother is doing after drinking a few. " It takes Revenge a moment but he realizes Sylvia must be referring to Valac as being his brother.




As Kuori runs towards the rest of the party she notices the goliath woman in a modified Arian uniform. She is standing upon the elevated stone steps of the portal above the rest of the demi humans. Did she just have tentacles coming out her back a moment ago? Something seems strangely familiar about her but Kuroi is still too far away to tell exactly what is giving her this feeling.

"I would not accept if it would use up the last of your stock which might otherwise be used to save someone's life..." Revenge responded to Sylvia, though he scanned the portal situation from this distance. "But things look like they are de-escalating. I think I will take one, at least for now."

He would pause. "I'm glad you are okay. I tried to get to you when the battle started but I got waylaid."

"Listen to me. If you go through that gate with her, you will not succeed. Because none of us will come with you!" She had tears in her eyes, her hands balled into little fists. "Stay with us and we'll all take Aria down in full some day soon. Go and you'll go alone--and never come back!" She made no move to get out of Valac's way, but looked at him pleadingly. "We need you alive. Stay with us."

She looked at the goliath woman then, speaking softly. "And you, Ms. Stomach Mouth... The offer I made before still stands. You don't have to go back to them. No one has the right to control you. What has Aria done to you? What's your name?"

((Diplomacy: 23 to calm the goliath and get her to talk about her troubles.))

Kuori will fire an arrow through the Goliath's field of vision as she keeps moving forward. "Hey you! YOU DISGRACE THE NAME OF THE LIGHTLOST TRIBE." Not yet seeing a face, but the tattoos were definitely lightlost markings. Was it somebody from her tribe or perhaps somebody from another branch?

"Thank you," he would say politely to Sylvia, before accepting the potion. With confirmation that he wasn't about to down the last potion, he would pop the cork and drink it, allowing the fluid's magic to expedite his body's natural healing process. His legs would no longer be screaming in pain (it would probably be more like talking loudly at this point).



"Kuori has her bow out, I better get going," Revenge would tell the girl, nodding politely before continuing his heavy-armored pace towards the portal.
