Hopian smiles sadly at him. "It's just ye haven't been yerself this morning either.... Yer not smiling, not joking around... and ye haven't strung more than five or six words together in a sentence... If she hurts ye, Kero... I want to know..." he says with a hard finality.

*Kero smiles, and speaks in his thirteen layered voice*
You will, Brother ours...you will....

Hopian flashes him a thin smile. "Good... ye remember that now will ye... cause I'm serious... deadly serious. So ye have Corby coming over in a bit, ye want me to keep Salunia occupied. Tam usually does that but well, I kind of don't feel comfortable with Ai watching her right now."

It will be good for the child to spend some time with her father, brother-mine.

Hopian nods. "Ye know... I feel another hunting lesson coming on.... yep I do. Salunia, let's go get some rabbits... I've a taste fer rabbit stew." he calls going back into the living room.
Kero sighs and shakes his head as he walks into the living room and begins looking around for his pipe. He finds it on the desk, next to the scattered remains of a tattered black rose.

*Shaking his head, he goes to the door, and lets Corby in for his lesson, which goes fairly well, Kero teaching him a song to bring peace to the hearts of all those round them...and leading him through it three times*

The lesson goes well. At least he thinks it goes well. And although Corby is confused as to why Kero keep demanding he play the piece three times, it is an innocuous piece so he doesn't really mind. Finally the lesson is over and Fortuny comes out to walk back up the hill with the neko. It is time for her weekly check up and Shar has invited her to lunch.
Kero finds himself alone in the quiet cottage, well not exactly alone, but Ai has decidedly not shone her face since breakfast so he might as well be.

*So he decides to try something...and hopes it works...and plays an old piece he remembers Tam teaching him...one for seeking and finding...and he modifies it for calling as well, focusing on the image of Tes...a request, nothing more...reaching out across the realms with his magical music, bolstered without knowing it by his twelve previous incarnations...trying to find a single blue draconic with neon-green eyes*
**Decide fer yerself if she comes...it's a one shot deal, even if she does...it's just, as Tam said earlier, Kero needs that right now...especially since he's dealing with the mental frustrations of twelve others, plus his own..**

As he plays he doesn't see his tiny audience of one, sitting at the tip of the stairs, tears streaming down her cheeks. Quietly, before he realizes she's there, she slips back out the window and down the street. It's hard to see when yer crying, but somehow Ai makes it out of town and to a certain cave, long since abandoned by it's former owner. She crawls over the boulders left strewn before it's entrance and creeps deep within. sitting down next to the small spring that now flowed there, she crumbles into place.
"Father...." she whispers in a husky voice... "Help me... help him.... " and makes of herself an offering, praying that eventually everyone will come to understand.

*Kero, oblivious to this, continues to pipe...wishing with all his heart to see Tes...and to bring peace back to the house...he sends it as a prayer to the father as well...to help Tam heal and grow, and to bring Tes to him, so that the problem does not rear its head again*

At first nothing happens. Then about an hour after Kero gives up, a hesitant knock on the door catches his ear and when he opens it, he hears a vaguely familiar voice. "Hello, I'm looking for the home of... stop that Gwee... I'm trying to ask a question here."

*Kero looks at the young lady outside his door*
The home of who, madam?

**not really... I'll leave her up to ye... I've got enough on me plate... just setting it up fer ye..**
Back in the cave Ai's ragged breathing slows and the silence of the cavern returns.
**don't panic...**

*After a couple of hours, in which the inevitable happens, leaving Kero much more relaxed....and leaving a certain draconic asleep on his bed, Kero goes up to check on Tam...when he finds he isn't there, he begins to worriedly pipe a tune his sira had taught him to play when he needed him*
