Ebony tilted her head to the side. In Salin, there were very few with magic powers. Most of which had already been gathered together and taken to Telroth Castle. "People can use magic in this world? How many?" She ased curiously.

"You like asking questions, don't you?" Diel asked sarcastically. His sarcasm still seemed stern. He didn't like joking around at a time like this.

(Awww. Poor Ebony. She just wants to make a friend. ^_^)
Ebony scratched the back of her head. "Uh, sorry. I'm just trying to learn a bit about this world." She answered. Perhaps it was better that she didn't press him with so many questions. He DID just wake up after all. Though, it's not like she would know that.

The poe stopped. They had reached the outskirts of the Gerudo Fortress. "King Diel, your slumber has been a long one. The world you currently find yourself in is completely different now. Just keep that in mind. ... Until we meet again...King..." The poe then disappeared while giving off a cheeky laugh.
"Wait!" Diel called after, but it was too late. The poe was gone in a puff of smoke. You knew something... Damn it! Diel then walked up to the guards of the gate to the fotress. "I am Diel, King of the Gerudo and I demand you open this gate!" The guards looked at him incredulously and laughed. "Diel? Hah, our king is Ganondorf, and he's long gone by now!" They continued to laugh.
(Something tells me this is going to need a woman's touch to persuade them...).

Ebony stepped out from behind Diel. She looked at the two girls' skin and hair color, then looked back at Diel. It was true, all gerudo had the same skin and hair color. Which meant he wasn't lying about the whole one man every hundred years being king. Then, she had a sly idea. Unfortunately, it was another time that she never thought her plans through, so it could go good or bad. "Excuse me, but are you ever going to stop laughing and notice his skin and hair color? Only gerudo would look like that, right? And, since he's the only gerudo male alive, does that not make him king?" She asked. This would either enrage the two guards or make them drop to their feet in humiliation. Either way, they were going to end up in the fortress somehow.

The guards took another look at Diel and then started to whisper to themselves. "What are you doing?" Diel whispered to Ebony.
(Clever girl, that Ebony)

(She tries... and sometimes fails. Ebony: HEY!)
Ebony smiled back at Diel. "I'm only using the information you told me a little while ago. And, it's not like I'm lying to them. You ARE king, yes?" She replied in a whisper. From the look of the two girls, they were believing Diel to be king. Perhaps he would even be glad he helped her out. Otherwise, how else would he get into the fortress?

The guards nodded at each other. One went toward the fortress while the other barked at Ebony. "Hey, you! Girl. Who are you?" Diel looked at Ebony. He had been wondering the same thing, but had yet to get an answer. Just who exactly was this girl? Diel assumed the guard couldn't see Ivory.

Ebony looked back at the guard. "Me? I'm Ebony Keystrike. Why?" She answered. Had she possibly upset them? Or maybe they were curious about her appearance. For one, her skin tone was somewhat like a gerudo's, just slightly darker. But her hair was ebony black, just as her name implied. However, Ebony doubted they really cared about what she looked like. Ivory floated off to the side, ready to protect her sister should the need arise.

"I have never seen you before, Ebony. Just where are you from?" The guard demanded. She wasn't about to let a stranger into the Fortress without some sort of idea who they were.
Diel looked at Ebony again, his face still stern. He would very much like to know as well.
(Diel doesn't ask trivial questions, he has people to do that for him! XD)

Ebony looked away, scratching her right temple lightly. "Well, that's kind of hard to explain. I come from a world called Salin. I fell through some sort of portal, and landed on this guy here in the temple of sorts." If the guard didn't buy the explanation, that was going to be bad. Then again, if she did buy the explanation about being from a different world, what were they going to do? To them, she was not only a stranger, but not even of Hyrule.

The guard looked at Diel, dubious. "It's true. She did land on me out of nowhere in the Temple of the Goddess of Sand." Diel confirmed. Suddenly the second guard came running back. After a brief chat between the two, they announced their decision. "You both are to report to the Grand Elders at once! And don't try anything funny. Remember..." The guard's voice went from strict to flirtatious within an instant. "...We'll be watching you." She gave a wink and thrust out her lips for an instant. The gate was opening. They were now allowed inside the Gerudo Fortress.
(Yaaay, they did it! XD)

Ebony smiled and took a couple steps forward, then turned to look back at Diel. "See? I got us inside." She stated before continuing onward. She was proud of herself for being able to play the guards off... even if she was telling the full truth, instead of lying to them. "So, you should know where the elder people are, right? I'll just follow you then." She added.
(I should have Ebony get cocky about her sly skills sometime and end both herself and Diel up in jail. ^_^)

"Don't get too full of yourself," Diel began, "Remember what I said. The Gerudo are notorious thieves and bandits. And right now, we're right in the middle of their hive."
Diel followed one of the guards to the Elder's dwelling. "Ahhh, come in, come in." There were two of them there, sitting down on cushions. "So, you're Diel. My, you're far more handsome than I'd imagined. Fufufu..."
"You know who I am? I do not recognize either of you as our Grand Elders..."
"Oh, you know nothing of us, dearie..." "But we know a great deal about you."

Ebony silently followed Diel into the room and sat down on one of the floor cuchions on the ground. She wasn't quite sure what to say to the two elders. "Well, they're definitely... elderly..." She thought. It might have been rude to insult any kind of elder, but at least she kept her thoughts in her head.
