Michael seemed to shiver when Tenebre was mentioned. He suddenly straightened as if Tenebre was around, looking from left to right, trying to spot him. Seeing Tenebre wasn't around, he slumped again, staring at the red potion Mona had.

Zelda scanned Hyrule Castle, shocked that it'd actually held up rather well.
Then she yelped with fear, seeing the dead bodies of guards at the gate, their blood trickling down the steps to the entrance. "What happened?" She squeaked.
"Oh my goodness." While Mona was astonished at the size of the castle, she was petrified at the sight of the soldiers.
Ganondorf sighed. "I wanted you to kill them. I have an assignment for you now. Tell me, Duo, are you loyal to me?"

Sunoka sat up after being sent through the portal. She heard Zelda's yelp and turned her head toward her. "What happened?" Little did she know that her blind eyes were currently a gift. If she had seen the bodies... she would have probably been completely terrified.

Mordecai growled in frustration, pulling his large cloak closer to him, trying to disguise himself better. He flipped the large hood up over his helmet, lowering his head as he, once again, walked through the town surrounding Hyrule Castle. His halberd was secured on his back, for once, hidden for the most part by his cloak. He didn't begin to assume he would be able to make it into the castle at the moment, not after some of the rumors that had floated by. He was trying to gather more information, find Ganondorf, and forge an alliance, but he knew he would need something valuable for Ganondorf to not just kill him outright.

Duo looked at Ganondorf, straight in the eyes unwavoring. "I am loyal to no one but myself. I simply roam the world, looking for work. You must remember, Ganon, I am a hired assasin. I go as I please." Duo was not afraid of this man. He could walk out when he wanted to. But of course, when he did leave, most of his partners were angry... Therefore, he would never come back to that realm. But he didn't want to leave this one... he had found someone he iked to talking to. But just by looking at this guy, he knew that once he fled, he would never be able to return.
Midna watched intently. So this guy can travel dimensions? that would explain some things.. but a hired assasin? I would have never guessed... But that means he is not totally under Ganon's control..Hmph... this guy gets more interesting every moment... She continued to eavesdrop on the men, not even concerning hersef with the others.

"You will not leave. I know you will not leave. Not while the blind rat is still here." He stated simply. "Let us make a deal, then. If you kill Sunoka, as well as all the other excuses for life meddling with our plans, I shall let you stay here, and I will give you the highest authority among this realm. You call the shots with me, you will not work for anyone else. When we conquer Hyrule, you'd be free to do what you wished whenever you wished. And Hyrule's demise is practically imminent, you and I both know that. The odds are against us, here. My only request to you is to bring Zelda, Link, and Midna to me instead of killing them. I've had it with them, I want the satisfaction of getting rid of them myself.
"If you refuse, well, I'll do the job myself, as well as get rid of you." He folded his arms. "What do you say?"

Duo gritted his teeth. "Mhmm you make a hard bargain. I do not like either side of it though." Duo took a step forward. "I could care less about ruling kingdoms... It is not my thing. Then I have no intention of killing the blind girl. I wonder though. I can give you one thing. I wonder. Did you know that there is someone of importance hearing our very conversation right now?" Duo looked at the door, knowing that Midna waas standing there listening.
Midna stepped back. How had she known she was there? However, she found herself unable to move. She looked down to find Chains wrapped around her hands and feet. Her eyes widened seeing that they were conneted to the shadow. "How... long as this been here?!" She whispered astoished.

Ganondorf grinned. "We shall discuss this later, Duo." He approached the chained Midna. "Do you know how long I've been waiting to get rid of you, imp?" He chuckled, remembering her days as the pint-sized little person she was. "Zant sends his best regards, and told me to give you this." He punched her in the gut, hard. His plan was to weaken her slowly, until she was begging for death. He'd then hang her over the group's heads as an incentive to return.
A moblin came up to Ganon, wringing his hands. "It seems Vaati has Princess Miku. What do you want to do, sir?"
"This day is just getting better and better. Bring Miku to me."
"Will do, sir."

Duo shook his head. "Perhaps we won't..." Then with out another word, he released the chains he had on Midna. He then faded into the shadows. He then merged inside Sunoka's shadow. he voice whispered in her ear. "Tell me... would you be 'sad' if I were to disappear forever"
Midna doubled over holding her belly. "ngh... Ganondorf... I ought to kill you..." She muttered in pain. however, she suddenly fell back as her chains were released. Her eyes widened for a second. He caught me.. to release me? What in the world?! He staggered to her feet, shaking off the chains that slowly melted to the floor. With regained confidence she laughed. "..hunh. Seems that your shadowy friend has turned on you... or has he?" She quickly took the only change she had to try and warp away. Soon her body became small pigments of shadow as she disappeared out of Ganon's grasp.

Sunoka jumped when she heard Duo's voice in her ear. "You chained me up against the wall!" She didn't care if the others looked at her strangely for seemingly talking to herself. She turned to her shadow and growled. The girl was about to yell at Duo again, but she suddenly began to remember all the nice things he did for her. It was strange, any time someone was mad at another they liked, that person always remembered all the good things that happened between them. Sunoka's head drooped as she thought. "... Yes..." She didn't really want Duo to leave, even if he did chain her against the wall. What else was there that he had done? Frightened her? Not much of a reason for wanting someone gone.

Duo sighed. "I see... so it would not matter to you whether or not I was dead or alive... As you wish..." he whispered to her. "You shall never see this Duo again..."

Sunoka's eyes would have widened if she had them. "W-wait!" She didn't want him to go. "... Please stay..." Her voice was low and full of sadness. She pointed her head toward the ground and sat down, pulling her knees close to her face. "I don't... want you to go..." Though, she didn't really want to make such a decision in front of all the others, she wanted Duo to stay even more so.

"No!" Ganondorf slammed his fist on the table. "Well, at least I have Zelda's precious sister."
A weak young girl, battered and bruised from the moblins' harsh treatment was taken into the dungeons and thrown into a small cell.
"Where is Zelda... Where is my sister?"
"Zelda isn't here to save you now, my dear. I want you to write a letter to her. I shall tell you what to say and exactly how to say it. You will follow my directions, or I shall kill you, and your friends as well. Got it?"
While every bone in her body urged her to fight back, she couldn't risk the lives of her friends. Lowering her head, she agreed. "Alright. I'll do it. Just don't hurt them... Please."
"Good."
Zelda gave Sunoka a quizzical look, then saw her sadness. "Sunoka... Are you alright...?" She looked up at Link. "We should all go to the medical wing as soon as we can."

Duo stopped himself from diminsion hopping just in time. He whispered in her ear using the shadows from her hair. "...tell me.. Why is it you want me to stay? Someone who has murdered countless people merciless, destroyed worlds.. just for money. A heartless creature of the shadows... incapabe of love and emotion...Don't I deserve to die?" He was silent, yet he could hear an annoying pound every once in a while come from his chest.
Midna slowly reappeared behind Zelda. He stomach still hurt from where Ganondorf had punched her. "Zelda... there is something I have to tell you..."
