(Actually, Jos, shadows can enter the city, as well as the castle. They just can't use any shadow powers inside it. Same with mages and their magic.)
Tsunisa suddenly rushed out and stood in front of Treize. She transformed back into a human right in front of Arious' eyes, then knelt down and held Treize back. "Teize, after that blow, you are in no position to be trying to be trying to fight him. Attacking any unknown force you can sense. Hmph." she murmured the last part under her breath, then looked over at Arious. "Please excuse him. We okami are very... territorial." Tsunisa explained. Normally, she would have been the same way. However, since she left Salin for Hyrule, she learned to be more trusting of people.
Kaze sighed and sat down. Every second that passed brought him only more worry of how his sister was holding up. "No reply from her... and now it feels like there's something that is blocking any message I send." He thought to himself. He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to calm himself slightly.

Shira had actually been awake the whole time, but she had pretended to sleep for two reasons: so she could gather her energy and so she could listen in on the conversation. She found it rather bizarre. Larken was acting like he couldn't remember anything for the past several years.

Dark growled, then used his wind magic to warp himself out of the pool and drop back to the ground behind the Endymion. "I'm not very willing to speak now." He murmured, just like a pouting child. He cradled his burnt hand in his other hand, then continued. "You're no fun anymore."
"Shira? She's just tired, that's all." Vaati murmured, raising an eyebrow at Larken. This Larken was completely different from the one who tried to stab his eye. What did Shira say about him earlier? He couldn't remember if he tried. "Just go back to sleep. I've got something I need to check out." He suddenly hissed, then quickly made his way out the tent. He was still willing to check on the baby, even though he couldn't hear his cries anymore. It was better than doing nothing, and Shira probably wished to speak with Larken alone. Vaati ducked behind the tents, then made his way towards the other homes in the encampment. Which one of them was Seth hiding in?
Saya reported back to the designated area empty handed. Though she had planned to come back a little earlier than she did, at least she had some good news. She thought she sensed Seth's shadow magic. Even if Seth couldn't really use the magic, it didn't mean he didn't have it. Saya laid down in the grass and waited for the other shadow parent to show up, or at least make himself known if he was with her.

Sazs rose from the shadows near Saya. He sighed when he saw that she did not have the baby with her. "Please tell me you know where he is..." He murmured as he walked over to her.

As soon as Vaati left, Shira sat up. "What are you playing at?" she demanded.
Larken looked at her blankly. "Playing at what? Who are you?"
"You've been hunting me for the past four years!"
"All I remember is walking into a cave and seeing a hooded man..." Larken's eyes widened as he took a closer look at Shira. "...And I was with a girl that looked kind of like you!"
Shira shook her head in disbelief. "Stay here," she ordered. Of course, she wasn't going to believe him, so she focused her power and made a small force field around Larken. "I'll be right back." She walked out of the tent, staggering a little bit, looking for Kaze.
Larken shook his head. What was going on? Now the girl had trapped him in some sort of force field. He tried to remember the last day he could...
Young Larken and a brown-haired girl with bright eyes run and trip over grass and rocks, laughing the whole way. Suddenly, Larken sees the mouth of a cave loom before he and the girl. "Let's go inside, Shir," he says curiously.
The girl shakes her head. "Are you crazy, Lark? We should get back before Miss Penelope starts looking for us."
"You go back, then," says Larken, running inside. At the back of the cave sits a hooded figure, muttering spells as his long fingers run over a faceted rock. He sees Larken, shouts something unintelligible, and everything goes dark.
Larken's eyes snapped open. The girl he was with had been named Shira... and the pale kid had called the girl the same.

"I believed I sensed his magic somewhere Northwest." She murmured. Originally, she just wanted to go east, but she managed to start looking west when she figured he wasn't in the east. Hopefully he wouldn't move again until they got there to bring him back home to the Shadow Realm where he belonged. "It would just be faster if we went there together."

Sazs nodded in agreement. "Sounds good. Let's get Seth, and get out of here." He said as he pulled her back into the shadows. He knew she preferred doing things herself, but he wasn't really concerned with what she wanted at that moment. He just wanted to get Seth back safely.

Saya nearly cursed, but went along the journey silently. Sometimes, it wasn't worth it to complain, especially to Sazs. She figured that if it wasn't for Seth, he would probably still be in a corner ignoring everyone who tried talking to him.
Vaati gave up looking for the baby and started heading back towards the tents. He had a feeling his face would start burning if he wasn't out of the sun soon. However, before the tents were even in sight, a hand covered his mouth and nose and yanked him back from sight. Vaati tried screaming for help, but he found his voice muffled behind the hand. Slowly, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed into the stranger's arms. The spy quickly picked Vaati up and hurried out of the encampment before he was seen.

Sazs continued heading toward the wasteland until he sensed a familiar presence. "Seth." He thought, and headed straight for the tent the baby was in. He rose from the shadows and drew his sword. "Step away from our son. Now." He demanded.

Shira glanced around. She broke a long branch off of a nearby tree and used it as a walking stick, supporting her weight. "Kaze?" she called.

Kaze sat up and looked over at Shira. "What is it?" He replied. He looked like he was tired beyond all imagination due to the stress he was under. Tomorrow just wouldn't come soon enough for him.

Shira staggered over and sat down. "Remember that thing I told you about earlier? About how Larken was under a spell? I think you knocked him out of it, at least temporarily, and I think I can prove it." She hesitated a moment before going on. "I think he was one of my childhood friends."

The male Targnite put the baby down, which allowed Seth to stand and walk to his dad. He threw his arms around one off his legs and squealed. "We didn't know, honest. We were asked to watch him." He explained.
Vaati woke up in a room with dark walls, which he instantly recognized as the walls of the accursed castle. He was instantly on his feet. He would just warp out before anyone noticed. Or sneak a peak at Opal... To risky... he thought to himself, as he tried to warp out of the castle. What the hell? I could warp out of here earlier! Vaati cursed, then slowly began to calm down. He could still walk out of here, aside from the fact that he didn't really know where the exit was.

Kaze looked over at Shira. Normally, he would have been skeptic of the whole thing, but his mind was elsewhere at the moment. "Look, I know you're trying to tell me that your brother is a good person at heart, but I'm not in the mood right now." He murmured as he rubbed his temples.
Jin grinned when he received word that Vaati had been brought back. "Excellent. Now then..." He walked to Vaati's location and grabbed his arm. "Perfect timing, little wind mage. I have a special little surprise for you." He said as he pulled Vaati to the room with Kazelina.
Sazs picked Seth up and handed him to Saya. "Let's go." He muttered. He didn't care what excuse the couple had. He just wanted to get Seth back to the Shadow Realm.
