Ruin and Revenge get on Abby's horse while Twyla starts running in the direction of the portal. Twyla, with her speed potion still in affect, will reach portal on round 9.

Kuori chooses to stay behind and watches as Fumiyo unpetrifies a Gladesdale guard. He looks around quite confused to be suddenly finding himself in the Forrest.

Abby moves over to scared and confused children and comforts them. Squatting down to their level she answers the boys question. "You were being transported to by these people to a very bad place, the same place that many of us here escaped from. But we rescued you, Now we wont let anyone hurt you any further. I know some of us must look kind of scary but we truly just want to help you so those people don't end up turning you like us. A friend of mine accidentally turned you to stone as she was fighting the guards hold you captive, but now you are back to normal and I'm sure she would like to apologize if you would let her."

The boy would nod at Abby. "I-I remember seeing her. Her eyes glowed red then everything went dark. I...I would like to thank her for saving us, even if I was temporary turned to stone."







Valac, with his sheer strength manages to fee himself from the tentacle's grasp. He finds himself no longer feeling weakened. His demon companion was not so lucky. The demons lashes out at the goliath but finds himself unable to hit her. Tightly grasped in her tentacle, he is maneuvered next to her stomach. The scar running across her abdomen then suddenly splits open, revealing a gaping maw of razor sharp dagger like teeth. This secret mouth then clamps down on the demon, biting his head clean off. As the demon's body returns to the abyss the goliath woman returns to attention back to Valac. "You're next, fool!"

Kuori continues resting as Valac The Overconfident begins to run back to them.

Back at the Arian wagons Kuori see's Fumiyo return the last of the three guards to flesh as well as the fourth unidentified person. Kuori would remember this last person was the one found in Abby's house and had been identified by the guards as a known thief and all around shady individual. When this person is un-petrified he finishes uttering the sentence he must have been saying as he was frozen in stone. "...its just a girl!" He then looks around shiftily at everyone before falling completely silent. He looks ready to flee at the slighted provocation.

The three Gladesdale guards look around in a confused manner before the one who must have been there captain speaks up. "Merric? What are you doing here? On top of that, why are we in the forest and who are all these people? Last thing I remember was seeing this strange girl with red eyes." The captain would also look down and exclaim. "Why are we in a wagon?

Taking a look at his friends and the new comers, "Before we become even more reckless, I sent Vi though earlier. When she returns we will have a first person view of what is on the other side." Ruin spoke, "Until then, I would suggest we fall back to the children, and decide on where would be a safe place for them."

Kuori looks up at the people in the wagon. "Tie up the thief and we'll talk. Its a long story. Short version is that Arian soldiers were trying to make you disappear and we saved you." She will toss the rope from her pack up to one of the guards.

Ramona responds to both Ruin and Twyla. "I appreciate the concern, but Fumiyo thinks we should disable the gate before they have a chance to send any reinforcements and I am inclined to agree with her. I know a lot of us are hurting, but we will be hurting a lot more if another 30 guys come through that gate after us. The sooner that gate is down, the better. " Ramona would look back at the rest of the Demihumans and then to Twyla and her group. "You guys should go back to the wagons and rest. I think the rest of us should be able to handle the one guard at the gate."

((The Demi-humans being led by Ramona still plan to march on the portal. A diplomacy check can be rolled to persuade them to wait or an Intimidate check can be rolled to convince them it is too dangerous. ))





Before the rope even hits the ground, the thief had jumped off the wagon and begun to run. However, in a poof of black smoke, Fumiyo appears before him and he runs right into her embrace. With the thief caught off guard, she leans up and whispers something into his ear and then lets go of him. The thief stops running and returns to the wagon with Fumiyo. Fumiyo then addresses everyone.

"This man is under my protection, as are all you. I know it was not your choice but I'm afraid you are all now embroiled in this matter. For now, I suggest any grievances you had with each other be forgotten as your lives are now threatened by a much greater force. My tall friend there speaks the truth. You all were but several hundred meters away from never being heard from again. You have seen things that Arian government will make you disappear for."

The Gladesdale guard captain steps down from the wagon, and along with his other two men, glances at the portal in the distance. After another moment or so of absorbing his surroundings he would speak up. "I'm not often to trust one with the ears of a wolf on their head, but I guess given the circumstances I will have to." The guard examines the petrified Arian soldiers surrounding the enclosed wagon. "I guess this is what happened to us, too. I never trusted these guys. They were always too eager to stick their hands into our town's business." The captain would then turn back to Fumiyo. "So what now, wolf woman? Obviously, there's more to this story you are not telling. I'm no fool. This has to do with that strange reptile girl we saw."

"You are correct, and her name is Petra. She was a child taken by Aria under false pretenses and through an excruciating process was transformed into the creature you know doubt saw. She escaped from their clutches with my help and now Aria will do anything to get her back and keep her existence a secret. That is what you are now involved in."

This news seemed to hit the thief pretty hard. He claps his hands to his forehead and exclaims. "Oh, Merric, what have you gotten yourself into? I should have I never gone into that house."

Kuori feels a tug on her side and she would look down and see Petra had snuck over next to her. Her cloak was drawn around her as tightly as it could be. She would speak to the goliath in a small, trembling voice. "K-Kuori. I-I want to apologize to them but I'm scared. I-I'm the reason why their lives are now ruined. I... I don't know if I can face them."

Ruin would jump off the cart and rush to Ramona's side, "If you're going, so am I. But, are you in so much of a hurry to revisit the life you had in Aria, you can't wait 5 minutes between battles? That is what will happen if even a 10 men come through that portal, in your current states."

Ramona would look at the lone soldier at the gate, then her team of allies behind her, and then respond to Ruin. "I think we can handle her. I'm much more worried about what might come out of that gate in 5 minutes. Besides, Sylvia has been patching us up along the way with all her awesome potions. You know, you should ask her for some help if your hurting or exhausted. She's got potions for just about anything. Usually, I only I have enough magic to cast this one spell I have once a day, but with her help, I think I might be able to use it again on that gate."

Sylvia's wooden looking skin becomes a bit rosier in color as Ramona talks up her potions. She looks shyly down at the ground hiding her face in her leafy hair. "Well...I guess I can spare some more, if you would like... "

At Twyla's word Ramona would let out an annoyed sigh. "Well... I guess Corsica, our unbreakable melee titan, isn't here with us at the moment. I guess if you really think that one guard is going to be that dangerous, we can wait a bit for you guys to be ready. But don't blame me when a response division rushes out of there in the next couple of minutes. Then we really might be in trouble..."
