*Kero nods*
Yes indeed...and Pasa...that's one of the reasons you need to apologize to him....another one being that you could have hurt him...Tabasco is very hot, Pasa...I can eat it without fear, as can Bez...but Tam never developed a resistance to spicy food, so is in a bit of trouble there.

"Actually I like Tabasco sauce... but only on certain foods." comes a voice from the doorway. Tam walks in with both babies and hands one to Bez. "Sorry, Bex, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions."
"It was I, Singer. I... I am sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your lunch." stammers Passura softly.
Tam smiles at him. "Relax, Pasa. I won't eat you for dinner... or bite yer head off. Just make certain, next time, that the person yer playing a prank on won't mind having one done."

*Kero nods*
But don't ask them if you can do it....that defeats the purpose. Now, finish those veggies, and we'll see about going and weeding out some of the more gullible fish...

The boy grins at him and finishes his lunch in record time.
"Weeding fish?" asks Keva looking at his brother for an answer. "Isn't that a mixed metaphor?"
Tam chuckles. "Ye have to see it to believe it, little bro. That little stinker can really fish." He trades babies with Bez and begins to feed Mara.
"I'll hold her iffin ye want." offers Emnast with a hopeful look in his eye.
Bez shrugs and passes Ari over. "There's a standing rule, ye know... whoever has her when she leaves a gift has to remove it."

*Kero laughs at the look on his brother's face*
The price you pay, brother mine...now Pasa...finish those, and lets go...and don't bother trying to hide them under your plate...I saw that...

The boy lifts the plate to reveal nothing and grins. "Fooled you." he quips merrily.

*Kero's pale face turns brick red...and he stands from the table*
Well, then, my little trickster, let us go and trick some fish into thinking they are safe.

The boy follows him out with an ear splitting grin and a bounce in his step that makes both Bez and Keva chuckle.

*That is...until he and Kero disappear in a flash of Aethr...only to reappear on top of the mountain, by the stream*
Now, Pasa...I want you to try something...try to catch the biggest fish you can...and we'll compare...I'll work on my technique, and you work yours.

Pasa grins and heads into the water, moving slow and steady, scanning the water for rocks and other submerged hiding places. Finding one he moves in and feels, not with his eyes but with other senses until he catches a glimmer of life. Within minutes he has his first fish on the bank.

Pasa nods in acknowledges Kero's catch and moves on to another spot. This time he comes up empty. The current is stronger here, but there is also a good chance to locate a good sized fish, so he keeps delving into those hidden hiding spots, looking for another fish.

Pasa laughs and begins to braid stringers for the fish, so that they can take them back to be dried and salted.

*Kero moves in, helping to braid, then slings their catch onto his back, and teleports them down...as it is now suppertime, he sets the table and starts to cook, sending Pasa over to fetch the three stooges. He pulls out the ingredients for pasta and risotto...and begins pounding steaks flat, and wrapping them around cheese, then searing them before placing them into a red sauce to stew*
