the nightmare stares at you... then with a wild whinny turns tail and flees.... funny... i don't find ye that terrible to look at but i swear he looked like he'd seen a ghost

skull dancer stares at him... totally confused... that is when ye realized he's possessed... poor thing.... and the thing inside of him is what is driving him to madness.... it stares at you out of his eyes.... a fiery worm................

truth is... yer not really sure what it is... it's totally alien but it may have come from one of the lowest hells... what it is doing though is quite obvious... it is slowly consuming skull dancer... and from the look of things it has been within him for a very long time.... perhaps years... maybe even decades... slowly influencing him... devouring him.... both in body and soul....

*Kero moves over to skull dancer...drawing on his own negating power...the worm is no match for his hunger...and is immediately sucked into his stomach...where it may struggle all it likes...Kero hoists Skull dancer onto his shoulders*
Come on, old horse...let's get you to someone who can help...
*Teleports immediately to Lyssan's gate...appearing right in front of the fox*
Ly...I don't know what happened to him...but...I found this inside him...*Conjures a bubble of space and regurgitates the worm into it*...it seems to be eating his soul...can you help him...I can only guide souls...not heal them...

lyssan takes one look at the emaciated body and ushers kero into the garden... she calls for a servant to ask champhy to join them then sends another for blankets and the stable master....
as they wait for the others to join them she tries to heal him by using her talent.... laying her hands along side his neck, she wills him to live... to want to live.... and to have something to live for......

*Kero straightens...he's done all he can*
I did, in a way...*Holds up the worm in its sphere*...this was posessing him, and I pulled it out...apparently it had eaten a good bit of his soul...Ly is trying to heal that...I've tethered him to life for now...but even I cannot last forever, Champhy...but with Lyssan, Rhea, and me working together...we should be able to save him...

champhy eyes the worm with distaste... what the hell is that thing.... then jumps back as it tries to jump out of the sphere at her.... get rid of it... it gives me the heebie geebies....
lyssan sits back with a sigh... she is gray about the edges and paler than a ghost... it's a spirit worm.... she says to no one in particular.... an experiment gone wrong is what it is.... and a nasty one at that... it was created eons ago and has been working it's way through the lower hells ever since...... ye can't kill it cause it's not exactly alive... more like a virus on steroids.....

Very well...we would have to find a safe host...a creature without a soul...or I could just house this sphere in the realm betwixt order and Chaos...that might work...*Kero teleports off...then reappears*...alright...the worm is secured in it's sphere...and that in ten others...each inescapable...will Skull Dancer live, Ly?

lyssan nods slowly, trying to stand... i.. i think he will... it is more of a matter of wanting to live right now... we can heal the body... but i can't give him back the soul which was stolen... he can heal that himself though... in time... with help... and i think there's enough of it in place still to nurture more... but... and she looks at champhy hard... he needs to want to live, ye got that horse?
champhy nods thoughtfully... we... we haven't seen eye to eye for a very long time... she interjects awkwardly....
lyssan shrugs... and ye may never do so... but whether he lives or not depends on if he has a reason to live for... no more no less... now where's averus? kero, i want ye to check him out fer me... make sure none of that worm is in him... it breeds of a sort... and i need to make sure we're safe.....
