Keva and Tam have no trouble with the food. A fox is omnivorous and they had learned early on to enjoy all forms of food, but Passura and Bez both find the vegetables a little hard to swallow.
Bez openly eats only the fish, but Pasa makes a try at it. As he normally eats vegetables, Kero finds this surprising.

You need to eat a balanced meal, Pasa...and Bez...don't think to fool me..I may not be your parent...but I can still control space, you know...and I'm not above doing the airplane technique...

Bez gives him a puzzled look. "Why should I eat something I do not care for when ther are others who would enjoy it far more than I?"

Good answer, but there is an answer to it....as you and I are both alive, it is important for us to procure all the minerals we need from our food. The vegetables I have set on our plates contain an immense amount of such minerals...however, I have no right to force you to eat them, only to ask that you do so.
Pasa, you on the other hand, need to eat them, okay?

The boy pouts a little, then suddenly he asks if Kero has any curry powder. At least he thinks that is what the boy is asking for. as he definitely doesn't know it by the name the child is using, but the quick mental burst of taste and smell that accompanies the lad's request screams curry to his senses.

He watches as the boy liberally doctors his vegetables then eats them readily.
Tam cringes as the boy pours the spice on his food. "How can you eat it like that?" he asks with a sigh.
Passura looks at him and shrugs. "How can you eat it so plain? It has no flavor."
Bez looks thoughtful and asks to borrow the bottle. Tam chokes. "Go easy with that, dulcha..." he warns his mate with a shudder.

Tam closes his eyes and shakes his head, waiting. There is a moment of silence... then two... then three. He peeks to see Bez downing his veggies with gusto. With a groan he goes back to his nice plain meal, only to find that someone has sprinkled it liberally with hot sauce. "Bezernia..." he growls under his breath....

The dark haired angel looks up with a frown. "Is something wrong, Ai... ye look like a thundercloud?"
Tam glares at him and pushes his plate back. "Here... ye like it so much ye eat it..." he growls reaching for a glass of juice to wash the taste from his mouth.

Tam pushes back from the table and stomps out.
Pasa looks at Kero with a touch of chagrin. "I didn't do it right, did I?" he asks with a sigh. "Maybe I should go apologize."

Not right now...but yes, when he comes back, you should both confess and apologize to him..it would have been a good prank...but you have to learn to not overdo it...and don't even think about dropping that stuff on my fish. I can eat things much more spicy than that.

Bez shrugs. "If you ask me he is far far too serious... " he eats a few more bites then looks up again... to find both Passura and Kerobian staring at him. Keva has decided to keep out of this one. The angel shrugs. "Well it's true. Ever since he's become a parent, Ai has changed. I love him, but he nee to loosen up. His sense of humor has atrophied."
