When Fumiyo turned to look at her, Twyla waved excitedly. "I knew you were in there!" she said.
She would jog over to Fumiyo and the others, casting a worried look at Corsica, before turning back to Fumiyo. "Miss Fumiyo," she would say, "to help answer your question, many of us were connected with Miss Abby, working for her in her shop or otherwise, and she asked us to help her. We got involved trying to, uh, un-Petra-fy some petrified individuals, and then we uncovered a plot of Aria's to collect their escaped test subjects--er, including you--and take them back to Aria. Of course we couldn't take that sitting down, so we jumped into the fight!
"My name is Twyla Rosanna Oxanna... um..." Twyla would take a breath, acutely aware of the time constraints. "Uh, just Twyla is fine. This armored tiefling is Mr. Revenge, that suspicious looking person with the bow is Kuori, and the crazy looking tiefling over yonder is Valac the Unkillable. There are others among us that have gone forward, towards the portal. To make a long story short, the Arians here weren't all killed--many of them have run off--but we're still ready and willing to help in any way we can. If you say they had prisoners we'll find them! After all, we still have to find the petrified people we originally came to help."

Valac casually strolled over hefting his full blade onto his shoulder and commented to Twyla, "Those guys were putting the unkillable part to the test."
Then seeing Fumiyo in her 'normal' form Valac says, "Kind of preferred you as you were a moment ago...So are we running these guys down like the dogs they are?"

As Ruin threatens violence towards Petra, Arthur would stride between him and the basilisk girl. "You are not hitting her, and I hardly think that would help the situation. Twyla, the gnome in our group, has a wand that can cure petrification. Someone should go fetch her. Leave taking care of Petra to me."Petra would stand up and walk up behind Arthur. Placing her arms around she would say. "Arthur, let's go check on the other wagon. I... I don't think I should be around when they get those children out." Petra's eyes stay cast towards the ground, as if afraid to look at anyone. Arthur and Petra walk off to the other wagon. Illya stands guard against the fleeing Arians as Ruin tries to bust the lock on the wagon. Unfortunately he fails at his attempt. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ramona would speak after Revenge's question directed at Fumiyo. "If she knew where they were, she wouldn't have asked, bonehead. She's been unconscious this entire flight. Last I saw, the wagon carrying the prisoners was further north toward the Aria's secret portal. However, I'm pretty sure I broke one of the axles with a fireball, so I doubt they've been able to move it. I'll show you where I last saw it, though I'm pretty sure Illya and Ruin are already on scene."Ramona would fly off towards the northeast along the secret path. Seraphina would also take to the air and follow her. Fumiyo addresses Twyla and the rest of the party. "Thank you for the introductions. I have questions, but they can wait till later. We must make sure the prisoners do not make it through the portal or they will be forever beyond our reach. The Arians might be be beaten for now, but they will soon be back in overwhelming force. Let us move with haste!" Fumiyo and the rest of the demi-monsters would move off after Ramona. Ying carries her unconscious sister on her back. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyone who follows will quickly arrive on scene at the three wagons. Petra and Arthur are beginning to remove the linen tarps covering the strangely shaped objects in the open wagon. Ruin is currently trying to bust open a locked door on the enclosed wagon as Illya stands watch. The Arian soldiers are mostly further way now as they flee towards a large, stone arc structure with a shimmery surface between in it. It was hard to tell at the distance everyone was currently standing at, but there appeared to be a much taller than average soldier guarding the entrance to the portal.

As Ramona flies off towards the path, Kuori follows. Beating the others there most likely, save for any super fast types, she leaves the statues be and focuses on the lock. She looks downrange at the tall guard.

"Anyone's answer would have done, thank you." Revenge would take the weight off of his wife, his tail reflexively adjusting to counterbalance as he tested his footing. "I'm not going to waste a moment," he started to say as he immediately began moving northward on his own. "You can... er..." Looking behind him, everyone seemed to be going that direction anyway. "Group outing it is, then."
To not bog down the scene with unnecessary discussion, Revenge would be mostly quiet and determined as he moved northward. And, between being in heavy armor and having Arian mages focus-firing his legs earlier, he'd be in the opposite case as Kuori, being on of the last ones to arrive. I can't justify rolling any related checks until everyone else has had at least an opportunity to do so first, dern 6-speeders.
((Note to DM and to Self: The two javelins in his inventory are still on the battlefield; once I know for certain we will be able to go back to collect them, or if we don't get the chance, I will adjust my inventory accordingly if needed.))

As Kuori moves up to the wagon she sees the petrified face of a boy staring out at here between the bars on the small window. From the back of the wagon in the darkness she hears the voice of a young girl crying.
At Kuori is not sure if she got the bars and tumbler fight but at the last minute the lock pops open. The girl inside seems to notice this and screams out "No! Leave me alone!" before returning to sobbing.

In Ruin's mind, Arther as only babying the girl and it would only continue with her depressive state. At least with her checking on the other wagon, (himself, not knowing/caring what was inside it) she could focus on something that wasn't her mistake.
Ruin would only back off of the lock when Kuori came behind him and started working on the lock. And as the lock made that miraculous sound, he placed his hand on her stomach(7' 8" vs 5'...) to stop her from opening the door. "Thank you, but wait." before turning to the young girl. "I said, no one will hurt you. This is Kuori, she is a friend." He tried again to ensure the youngling. "and as promised, we will return your brother to you. We just need the door unlocked."

While this was all going on Valac moved closer to the portal standing in defiant opposition to the last guard. Valac gestured at the man to come closer,
"I think it's time for you to die Arian. Come forward and die in glory, a death which is more than you're worth, dog."

Twyla trooped along with the rest of them, her short little legs pumping. Other people were too tall for their own good, she thought. And that person, standing at the portal, really was FAR too tall.
She was astounded to realize, though, that her stride had a swiftness totally unlike her normal speed. The potion! It was still in effect! She suppressed a giggle as she passed up Revenge and made her way to the wagons. She heard Ruin's voice attempting to soothe someone. He'd probably found the children, as she doubted he'd speak to an Arian that way. She wanted to try to help them, too.
She sidled up and said softly to the girl, "Hey there. I know so many people around you seem so scary and you can't tell who is okay or not. But we're not the same people who took you away from your home. We're the people who will get you back, and we chased those awful people away. We're busting you out of this cage and so you never have to see them again!" She would wink. "I bet you're ready for this whole horrible thing to be over and gone, a distant dream. Well, I promise you, you and your brother are almost done."
She would draw the magical un-petrify wand, and say, "I'll turn him back to normal for you."

Upon hearing Twyla's voice, the girl finally began to calm down. She would timidly ask from inside the wagon. "Y-you can turn my brother back to normal? Is that lizard lady still out there?"Over on the open wagon, Petra and Arthur remove the covers from the large oddly shaped objects, revealing them to be the petrified guards and the one other person Petra had turned to stone in Gladesdale. Fumiyo would talk to her followers. "Let us not to startle the young the prisoners any further, those of you who can't take a human form should move ahead and see about disabling the gate. The Arians seem to be routed but let's see if we can delay any potential counter attack while we sort things out here."Most of the demi-humans move off towards the gate with only Ying in human form with her sister staying behind with Fumiyo. Abby recasts her illusion on herself to appear human once again. Arthur and Petra stay behind as well though Petra hides herself from view and covers herself back up with her cloak. Seeing the other petrified individuals Fumiyo pulls out a wand from her dress. Her wand looks as if to be a still living branch ornately entwined in vines. "It seems Petra, my dear, you did quite a number. Luckily I can assist as well in turning these poor souls back to flesh. I traded for this artifact from an Arch-wizard nearby. I believe he called it the Soulcleanser and it is imbued with the power to return things to their original state."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Arian's portal gate was father away than it looked and it takes Valac a few minutes of running to reach it. By the time he gets there, all the fleeing Arians have already pass through the portal leaving the lone guard standing in front of the archway. He immediately sees the impressively tall Arian guard is actually a female Goliath. Strangely, she bears an uncanny resemblance to Kuori, though she looks a few years younger. Her armor is also a little different from the other Arians', being made of leather and leaving her midriff exposed. Across her abdomen she has a large horizontal scar that runs completely from one side to the other. She is armed with a bow and arrow and a spear. Her eyes narrow and she brandishes her spear at Valac but does not otherwise move from her spot. She speaks to him in a curt manner. "Approach this gate and I will slay you. Otherwise, begone. I have no fight with you unless you make one."

Kuori looks at the girl in the cage. "Didn't your mother teach you not to judge a book by its cover? All of these people come here to save you and just because they look a little different than you do, you suddenly decided that that kind of rudeness is acceptable behavior?"
"Hey you little s**t. Get out of that cage before I grind yer bones to make my bread." She had no patience for this. "If I have to reach in there your brother? might fall out and lose a limb in the struggle. Dunno if our wand can fix that."

"Kuori! Back off!!" Ruin would position himself between the little girl and the larger archer, even going as far as summoning his blade. "Your not reaching for anyone!" (will roll a intimidate roll if needed, some players like it...*looks at Rain* and some don't. I will leave the need of the roll to Pupsage)
"Yes, my dear, she is near, and she feels bad for what happened to your brother." He would explain to the girl, but not turn his back to Kuori. "You see not so long ago, she was in a cage, just like you are. And bad people turned her into what she is, against her will. She only wanted to stop the same fate from happening to you two, but accidentally hit your brother when she tried to rescue. You don't have to do anything you don't want to, but If given the chance, I think she wants to apologize."

"I'm not going to eat her idiot. Its a joke. Giants eat kids right? Thats a thing? But seriously, if she doesn't get down here of her own will I'm dragging her out. Toothpick or not." She points at his sword. "She needs to be out of the way so that one of the wands can do its thing. Don't need her getting in the cross fire and getting turned into a toad."
