Masako had decided to stay one last night in Kakariko before heading out on her journey. The gravekeeper Dampe had disappeared, so she had just used his place to keep sheltered. She got out of bed, stretched, then equipped herself. She slipped her slightly permeable blindfold on, placed her potions in her pockets, her Lens of Truth on her belt as well as her lantern. Lastly, she grabbed her main weapon, a pair of large steel nails connected by a long chain. Sighing softly, she head out the door, greeting the sight of the graveyard she had grown accustomed. She hastily ran down into Kakariko, seeing the townsfolk gloomy and depressed as always. She stopped and turned to Anju.
"Morning, Anju. Anything unusual?"
Anju had stared at her for a moment, in thought and then nodded.
"I had seen quite a few people go to Death Mountain. I'm unsure of their business."
Masako nodded and started for Death Mountain. After she passed the gates, she stabbed through the tekitites and jolted up the Death Mountain Trail. She stopped, seeing footprints. Anju was right, it was more than one. I wonder if they're Ganondorf's minions... She looked up, staring at the morning sun, wishing that Impa had stood by her side again. She started back up the mountain's steep trail once more.

'Oh! So then, you're not working for him, good my suspicions were right, if you can defend your friends so easily.' She jumped and landed in front of her. 'Look, I didn't mean any trouble... I just want to get rid of Ganondorf for good, and you were a shady character, many have turned over to Ganondorf so easily... and others only turned over to him for research... look I didn't know, and that why I didn't attack you in the first place...' She mewed. 'If you want I can make it up to you... I can help you! Just... more in the shadows, if you need information just call me. I've been researching, I know where many of the sages are and where many of temples are. If you need me, call me with this. Just squeeze it tight, alright? I'll come running.' She mewed transforming back, her hood still hiding her face as she pulled out of her pocket a blue crystal hanging on a string. She placed it around her neck and smiled. "See ya later, Askari." She said and with a wave she was gone.

Denji chased the dragon until it flew back into the volcano. Denji hissed, but calmed down a little when he spotted Mercutio. "Back already? No injuries?"
"There's one Goron..." Mercutio jerked a thumb back towards a scared Goron. "He says his name is Denji too." He shrugged at that. "Where did Volvagia go?"
"What? Who?" Denji shook his head in disbelief. How could the Goron be Denji too? And who the heck was Volvagia?
"I was named after the brother who saved our tribe seven years ago. My father is Darunia." The Goron Denji explained. "And Volvagia was an ancient dragon that our ancestor killed with our great treasure long ago, but the evil king brought him back. He kidnapped all the gorons to eat them as a warning to everyone else in Hyrule." Goron Denji explained before breaking into tears. Mercutio sympathetically patted Goron Denji's shoulder.

Masako ran further up the twisting trail, coming to the entrance of Dodongo's Cavern. No one here.. She turned slightly and jumped up the large cliff. She turned left, gazing at the entrance to the Gorons' home. I don't want to disturb. She halted for a moment and heard a roar from what sounded like a dragon. I heard the tales, but I had no idea they were true. She turned and jumped up the edges of the mountain, coming to a large trail leading to Death Mountain crater. She swiftly jumped up the sloped wall and stopped, ducking behind a boulder. She heard voices. Sidling her head from behind the boulder, she saw what she thought was two men, standing with a goron, armed. She hoped that she had remained unseen.

“So I'm guessing we should find this treasure and kill the dragon again. Sounds easy enough.” Denji cracked his knuckles, smiling until he picked up a new scent. The smile faded, his ears twitching. “Someone's here...”
“I don't think you have to be suspicious of everyone Denji. Not everyone is out to get you. C'mon, we have a mission, you said so yourself.” Mercutio said with a yawn. He turned back to the Goron. “Don't worry, we'll free all the Gorons and make sure your father makes home safe and sound, won't we, Denji?” Mercutio turned to the other Neko, who was still sniffing the air.
"Someone's here and it's a scent I don't recognize!” He hissed.
“Denji, cut it out! I realize that you're important because you call yourself the 'Hero of Time', but I dunno, maybe SOMEONE exists who wants to stop Ganondorf too? I don't think you're all alone, for Din's sake. This person could be a friend, you don't see me freaking out about it.” Mercutio hissed back.
"You're the one to talk. You're not a target. Hyrule isn't purged into darkness forever if YOU die.” Denji stopped sniffing the air and had a one extended claw under Mercutio's chin.

"Understandable that you are so... paranoid... but I think your Neko friend is right. You need to relax... instead of thinking the shadows are going to jump out at you..." Josline voice purred slipping out of the shadows and looking towards were Masako was hiding, smiling wide and winking. She looked back towards Denji and Mercutio. "Hm... not really the kind of Hero of Time I wanted... but you'll do..." She murmured under her breath. Her hood still up the shadows hiding half of her face and she smiled again. "No need to worry, I'm friend not foe, unless... you deem me foe..." She said. "Then I'll give you something for us to be foes, but since you haven't attacked yet, I don't believe that will be necessary." She said still smiling.

Denji jerked his head to the right and suddenly leaned in close to sniff her face. Mercutio laughed. The cat instincts had kicked in for a mere second. “Well... since you seem to know everything, is the other person friend or foe?” He said, as calmly as he could manage.
“Yes... but Denji at ease.” Mercutio muttered. “And what do you mean by that? Are Nekos not allowed to be the 'Hero of Time?'”

"... Huh, you guys are good at hearing... and I don't believe she will hurt you. She's just checking up..." Josline said shrugging and touched Denji's nose and pushed him back, dropping her hand beside her. "Easy Neko boy, personal space... and it doesn't matter who's the Hero of Time... s'long as they get rid of Ganondorf... Neko, or half blood..." She said shrugging. "I heard a friend of your's was taken by his minions..." She said looking over at Mercutio.

Denji felt a little better. He was confident he could kill Ganondorf by the time he found and awakened the other four sages. Suddenly, Meructio hissed and reached out to attack Josline, his ears bent far back. “Whoa, take your own advice and calm down.” Denji shouted, holding Mercutio back. In comparison to Denji, Mercutio was only a mere kitten.

Josline moved swift a knife coming out of her sleeve and pointed it at Mercutio. "Don't make me defend myself... I wanted to help but I guess I'm... unwanted... whatever..." She said slipping the knife back onto her sleeve and swooped her cloak and walked off. "... I hate people who judge me..." She growled, her eyes red glaring at Mercutio and slipped into the shadows.

”Wait!” Denji shouted after her. “Ganondorf kidnapped his lover, he's still upset about it. We would appreciate all the help we can get.” Mercutio was biting at him, but Denji ignored him easily. Mercutio was just a kitten in his cat form.

Josline stopped thinking to herself. "Alright, I do need a powerful ally... I'll come when called, here" She said throwing him a crystal. "Just warm it up, and I'll come..." She said looking over Mercutio. "I know a lot about the sages, if you need information, I'm your girl.." She said smiling at him again.

Denji caught it in mid air, still holding Mercutio back with his other hand. “Thanks a lot.” He returned her smile with a warm one of his own.
“Denji, let go!” Mercutio shouted, fighting to escape the other male's arms, but he found them to be too strong. Biting and scratch didn't work, and he never need to fight until now. He never learned any neat tricks to get him out of trouble.

"You know, you should really control your anger issues kid... you'll get yourself out of trouble that way." Josline said looking at Mercutio, then looked up at Denji. "My name is Josline by the way." She said lowering her hood and revealed her short brown and blue eyes. "But I already know your names, you're Denji, and the squirming kitty is Mercutio..." She said smiling. "Just call!" She said giving them a warm wave and disappeared into the shadows.

Denji finally let go, making the unsuspecting Mercutio fall. Denji helped the kitten back up. “Take a breather before we enter the crater.” He muttered, readjusting the belts on his red tunic. He looked at the Goron, he looked like he had something to say.
“The crater is naturally very hot.... if you're going to go in there, you'll need this to be able to stand the heat.” The Goron held out a red tunic similar to Denji's. Denji sighed; he knew there's was going to be a free one somewhere.
Mercuito felt a little calmer know. He never felt so angry before. He smiled at the Goron and accepted the clothing. “Thanks.” Denji pointed to a larger boulder. Mercutio nodded and went around to the backside to change. A few minutes alter, he came out wearing a red tunic. Instead of waring the hat, made a little scarf out of it. He didn't want a wear a hat.
