But that defeats the purpose of my rejuvenation. No matter what, though, it allows me a kind of immortality. And it gives me the experience to help your daughter.

Ai simply wait for the others to return. Emnast has begged off attending the community dinner, saying he doesn't want to cause trouble with Ari's memories, knowing that there was always the chance she'd remember him, no matter the form he wore.

Ari looks at her parents who nod at her, then at her sister, finally she looks at Pasura and shrugs. "I... I guess so...." she mutters softly in a troubled voice. "Why?"
