Keva shrugs and climbs up into an easy chair. "OK, I guess. Been keeping busy or at least trying to and yer ignoring my question. Why does he call my brother the bright shiny winged one?"

That is not my place to say, Keveka...I swore to keep that secret...winkle it out of him, if you so desire and are able to...but I cannot break my word, you know that...
How are my godkids...I couldn't ask Rhea, and Jor left before I could ask him...

"They're doing ok... I guess. Keeping Rhea busy, that's for sure. Kero and I play chess every Friday."
"Kero... when are we going to start my lessons. You took me on and I've been rather patient, but... oh.... forget it. You're busy and I can wait. Got plenty of time on my hands these days though, now that I don't live at home anymore."

*Kero nods...then pulls Keva into a hug*
I'll start right now...every day, you will report to me for lesssons at noon, sharp. You'll study with me for two hours (Pasa and I eat lunch around eleven), and then every time the aethr whistles, you'll practice what I taught you ten times....starting now. I have enough power for a basic shift. Now...do you remember how shifting is done?

Keva rolls his eyes. "You are asking me if I remember how to shift?" Suddenly he is facing a young white haired man, sitting crossed legged in the chair before him. "Gee, Uncle Kero... I've been shifting since I could walk. I think I have that much down."

Keve studies him for a second and shifts. His body is a little heavier than Kero's but for the most part he's got it down pretty good.

Keva shakes his head. He tries to speak then realizes he can't. The cat form doesn't have the right vocal chords. Snarling he runs for the entrance way projecting a need for space to Kerobian. Of course, once he gets outside he's forgotten exactly what Kero looks like, so he decides to base his morph on a certain family member... not a half bad likeness either... but because of this, he is considerably larger than even Kero was at the time and kind of stuck.
"Ummm... a little help here... someone... anyone... " comes a frantic mental sending as he tries to remember how he took on the form.

Okay...our first lesson needs to be on size control...and on how to form communicative skills within non-sentient beasts (Tailypo can speak, by the way). Now, to get out of there, just imagine yourself down to your normal size and shape.

Keva tries to concentrate but he can't seem to do as he is asked. And he is creating quite an audience as well. Tam rushes out, shoving one of the babies into Beznia's hands as he runs and Passura as well.
"What the hell..." comes a booming voice from over head. "Keveka, I'm touched but ye really shouldn't have."
"I'll say..." grumbles Tam walking slower, now that he realizes what is wrong. "Kev, ye forgot one of the two cardinal rules of shape changing."
The enormous snake in the clearing groans. "Never take on an inanimate form... but Uncle Jor isn't a thing."
Tam puts his hands on his hips and glares at him. "Keveka..." he says in a deadly cold voice.
The snake cringes. "When taking the shape of someone you know aim for the form, keep the essence yer own."

Exactly...now, how to get you out of this...you've obviously changed your very essence, so the classic "To thine own self be true" spell won't work...Keva...can you change into me...if I take your form?

Keva starts to answer when Passura steps forward. "I can help him." he says quietly. The silence in the clearing is deafening. He smiles defiantly and nods. "Well, I can."

Passura nods and walks up to the snake. "When we enter puberty, we are sent on spirit walks, but some never make it back, so the wise men of the villages learn how to guild them back."
"And how will that help him now." asks Tam out of curiosity.
Passura motions for the snake to come closer and waits until the great head is lying on the ground before him. "His sense of self isn't gone, just buried... really really deep. I... I can reach him.... I think."
"You do that, child, and I'll be grateful... it's bad enough looking in a mirror and seeing one of me right now." comes the voice from the sky. "Two is just a bit too much."
The snake on the ground looks as though he is trying to physically become one with the ground he is stretched out upon. "Pasa... hurry... my skin is getting itchy... no wonder he's so grouchy... I think he has to molt."
