Twyla didn't look at the mass of guards Valac the Unwavering was standing in the way of. She was too focused on trying to puzzle out Fumiyo. Ying had said something was wrong, but what?

The Battle for the Beast Within  (The dark green under the trees represents thick underbrush and is difficult terrain and provide partial cover. The clods of earth the size of one square are difficult terrain. The clods of earths bigger then one square require climb checks to move over and are blocking terrain that provide full cover. The craters areas from the blasts are difficult terrain. A swim check is required to move through the river. She senses powerfully chaotic energies flowing around Fumiyo linked to the plane of shadow, whats more they seems to be directly linked to her emotions. Calming down her down might bring the energies surrounding her to a less chaotic state. (Arcana or Diplomacy checks may now be rolled to trying and calm down Fumiyo.)) Ying casts a spell on Seraphina and the dragon girl's wounds begins to heal. She sits up and mutters something in Elvish. Ying helps her to her feet. "I'm glad you are, ok. Now I have to go help the others. F-fumiyo is acting weird, but my sister is going to go help her!" Sylvia moves towards Ramona. Abby continues to runs towards her fallen husband, tears welling up in her three eyes. Shi moves over to Illya and speaks to her "Illya, there is terrible magic swirling around Fumiyo. Her mind is so lost in the darkness I cant even sense it! I-I I'm afraid to go near her like this!" Fumiyo charges at the remaining fleeing soldiers and with one fell swoop slices him in half with her scythe like front paws. She then begins to feast upon his remains. Arthur Continues to run, trying to reach Petra. ((Kuori up))

The Soldiers around Valac each take a shot at the barbarian as they move by hitting him for a total of 23 damage, knocking him unconscious. Despite how distracting Fumiyo was Illya sees Valac fall out of the corner of her eye and shout to the others. "One of our allies is down, he needs help!" She then moves towards Valac. Ramona lands down next to Dresden and administer him the potion she was carrying. She then shouts back to Illya. "Alright I'll be there in a minute!" (Ruin up)

After looking to make sure Valac the Unmoving and Revenge were being taken care of, Twyla strode towards Fumiyo. If her suspicion was right and Fumiyo could still be reached, then there might be a chance of calming her.
Twyla's stubby gnome legs were no match for Corsica's long, insectoid ones, however, and the scorpion girl reached Fumiyo first. Twyla could tell Corsica was trying, and maybe she could help her. She couldn't get close very quickly, but, well, at least she was loud.
"Miss Fumiyo," Twyla called, "listen to your friend! Look around at us--we're here to help you!" Her voice carried well across the battlefield, especially now that most of the din of fighting had faded away, but she found herself a little lost for words. That wolf monster thing was just so big!

(I'll get to what you see later) Revenge dies a little Twlya's words don't seem to be as effective as she would like but she does seem to draw a little attention from the wolf moster. Perhaps if she got closer her words would more easily reach Fumiyo's ears. Ying scuttles over to Valac but does not have enough actions left to heal him. Sylvia moves towards Valac as well. Abby finally makes it over to Revenge with tears streaking down her face, but has no actions left to help him. As she arrives at his side her image begins to flicker and fade until she is once again medium size. Apparently the large version of herself was only an illusion. Shi moves closer to Fumiyo and looks to be beging to prepare a spell. Dresden and Seraphina move to the bridge. Fumiyo bites at Corsica's pincers but scorpion girl manages to hold on with her vice like pincers. Arthur moves off he map. (Kuori up!)

As Ruin moves up the road he sees Abby's wagon as well as two others. One wagon he recognizes as the one holding the prisoners and the other is an open top wagon with for large akwrd shaped objects wrapped in cloth. Both wagons have lost their horse and the one containing the prisoners has a broke axle. The petrified forms of four Arian solders stand positioned around the back of the prisoner wagon. Petra sits on the ground nearby with her legs drwn up to her chest. She looks like she might be crying. In the distance Ruin sees a tall stone archway with a silvery substance shimming within it. Arain soldiers could be seen ruing towards it ignoring everything else around them. A tall lithe figure in an Arian uniform stands guard by the gate, but Ruin cant tell much else about the person from the distance except they look like they might be a Goliath. Arthur soon runs up behind Ruin and exclaims "Petra!" Before running towards the basilisk girl.

Kuori kneels down beside Revenge. "Quit dying you idiot. You're so close to happiness." She begins to try and patch him up a bit, but mostly spends a lot of time removing armor pieces to get to the wounds.
Medicine 8 because screw you dice gods.

Slowing his run to a slow walk, “Damnit, wait!” Ruin tried to order Arther to slow his run. “We can’t rush in...” if his words found a place in Arther’s head, or not, the twice-damned would only shake his head. And whisper a summoning spell, as the the air in the palm of his hand darkened and took on weight. “Good day to you, too, Vi” ... “I have a mission for you today.” … “Follow the Arian forces and report back with, what is beyond that archway.” … ”Payment remains the same as before, one soul from my collection, paid upon my death...” … “Fine, you can have a piece of bread with honey, too. Look for it beside my bed, tonight.”
The darkness would fade, as the creature seemingly bounced(or flew) from his hand…
Wherry of a second ambush, Ruin would follow Arther to Petra, but leave a good ten feet from them. “Petra, Can you stand?”
(Not sure, if he is still counted as ‘in combat’ at the moment.)

The last soldiers flee from the battlefield, ending combat. (Everyone is free to post at will.) Ying, using her previous training as a shaman, casts a heal on Valac allowing him to spend two healing surges and restore +6 additional hit points. Illya runs off down the road in the direction of the wagons. Despite her crying, Abby manages to stabilize Revenge. Ramona flies over with a potion from Sylvia and Abby administers it to her husband. The first thing Revenge sees as he opens his eyes is the tear-streaked face of his aboleth wife. The rest of the demi-humans gather around Fumiyo and Corsica who are locked in a fierce grappling match. Corsica is managing to hold Fumiyo, but she grimaces in pain as black smoke rolls off her body. Fumiyo's deadly necrotic aura is taking its effect on her and it's not clear how much longer she can hold on. Shi begins to cast some sort of spell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ruin's lesser planar ally jumps off his hand and moves towards the gate. As Arthur moves forward to Petra, no one jumps out to attack him, dispeling any fears of ambush. The Arians seem too busy retreating. Arthur gets down to Petra's level and speaks to her. "Petra, are you all right? Did something happen?"Petra would look up to Arthur and responds. It's obvious now she has been crying. "Y-yeah, I'm fine... I... I didn't get hurt but... but... I... the captives... we will need Twyla's help."
