Shaking his head, Ai simply fills the blanket with ice cubes, centering a few where the sun don't shine, knowing that will get a reaction.

Ai sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose. "So she has a fractured psyche... two separate personalities in one shell. Is there anyway to merge the two... no offense Kerobian, but she isn't you... I can't help feeling she'd be better off a whole person, not two walking in one body." Looking up he gives the mage a troubled look. "I raised you... and I love you... with all my heart... but that was one element of you I have always had trouble dealing with. Being old souled doesn't necessarily mean the former consciousness is capable of assuming control. I know now, that with you it was a necessary contingency. You needed to be able to regain all that you had put aside to let your essence revive itself. Surely such a thing is not the same here."

And if your mate weren't so dead set against not seeing her for a few days, I could have done it. Easily. But he blocked me, and so tied my hands to a plan with less chances to work, and one that is a temporary band-aid measure at best.

The trouble is, Sira, that the filter is temporary...yes, It will allow her to slowly mesh with Shia, but in order to be sure they were properly meshed, I would have to use intensive therapy. This gradual part simply won't help all that much.

Ai sighs. "Can you not work in sessions? Surely you do not intend to be dealing with her breach around the clock? I do not believe either of you is up for that." He shrugs. "If he is but able to see her for meals and the like, surely he will not argue too greatly."

Yes, we will need to eat...or rather, she will...and he could see her then....but only then. I would have to batten on power at that point, and he would be safe.

Ai settles back into his chair and sighs once more. "I'll talk to him when they get back. You rest until then. I do not begin to profess to understand anything either of you have done. My field is the realm of emotion and all that that entails. I could calm her fears but not cure her of them. Sooth her worries but not weed out the source of their nature. I only hope you know what your doing. Just realize, Kero. He too is a master of the mind. He knows far more than you think. Don't belittle him because he knows not magic... for the realm he delves in is far more magical in that it encompasses oh so much of who and what we are."
