tam smiles fondly at the cub and opens the book... ok... i'm going to sing the story fer ye... bardic style... now close yer eyes and listen... ok... it will be like yer really there....
and he begins to sing the tale of a young boy off in search of a dragon in a mystical fantastical land....

*Kero's eyes close...and Talesian realizes that even like this, Kero has latent power...he can see the dream the cub is seeing as he sings*

tam sings of tigers dancing in a circle... one wearing a pair of shoes, another carrying an umbrella, while another is wearing a shirt.... all going so fast they turn to butter...
(me favorite part of the story btw.... this is an old book... was old when i was a kid... but i found a copy for yuki when she was little and she loved it...)

Why didn't you say it was "Little Black Sambo?"
Jeez...I've got a copy of my own in here somewhere...
*Kero listens, entranced, as the story draws to a close...once it's over, he goes to the front door, pawing...Tam gets a mental feeling very much like a "Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase"...Kero even completes the effect with his puppy-dog eyes...light blue as the sky*

Kerobian Why didn't you say it was "Little Black Sambo?" Jeez...I've got a copy of my own in here somewhere... *Kero listens, entranced, as the story draws to a close...the sun suddenly sinks down below the horizon...and his eyes regain their intelligence* Pretty story, Talesian...what happened while I was out? darn i got things a bit mixed up... not little black sambo, tho that scene was from that.... both were written in the same era i think and much of it is similar... my father's dragon was written in 1948 by ruth stiles gannet... sorry... i got the two sort of mixed in me head... in this book a boy goes to rescue a baby dragon on wild island... he has some grand adventures...

Note: Whoops...I guess I didn't get my edit in in time...I hadn't meant to bring Kero back so early...had one last little scene I was going to do...and at this point, Kero's just begging...he's not being naughty or anything like that...

Note: Really happened...nasty burn/abrasion...

tam rushes over and attempts to heal it with a touch of bardic magic (not sure how that would work with ye being of the void and all but he's going to try)
