Talbot frowned upon hearing such an explanation, then he gently placed his hand on Arron's shoulder. "I would never kill you and you know that... ah, but... I won't let you hurt anyone if that time comes either. I'll be sure to help you keep yourself under control the best I can." he said earnestly. "No matter what you do, or what you become, I'll stand by you. Because... even as a lowly slave, you stood by me as an equal." he smiled softly, reassuringly.

He wrapped his arm around the knight's shoulders, pulling him into a one-armed hug. "Th-Thank you." he mumbled before standing, "I-I still have to pack though."

"Ah, right. I'll help if you'd like me to." Talbot suggested, then paused, and considered something else. "Unless you don't want me to see your unmentionables, which I would completely understand..." he blushed. "Ah, or maybe I should start making us something to eat! I think there's still some stew... or I could get something fresher. There might be some elk nearby. Ah! I haven't even asked you what you like when it comes to food!" the knight began to panic mildly, then bowed his head several times. "Sorry! I didn't take your tastes into account. I'm sorry." old habits were hard to break.

This caused the young man to chuckle. "It-It's okay... I-I'm not very p-picky by th-the way." he said reassuringly. It did not take long for the mechanic to finish packing.

"Ah.. right, I think you mentioned that before... sorry. I'll go heat up some stew for us then." he bowed his head once more, then walked into the kitchen again to start heating the stew. The encounter with that strange sub was still stuck in his mind, but he tried not to worry too much about it. He hummed a random tune from his kingdom while stirring the stew.

Arron finished packing & sat down pulling down his shirt to check the stitches from the wound. They were fine, but the wound was throbbing from being irritated. He would take some medicine after he ate.

The knight made sure the stew was heated enough, then put it into two bowls for the two of them. He'd also took out some extra meat he left in the fridge for Atticus. When he walked back out of the kitchen, he placed the bowl of stew by Arron, as well as a glass of water, and took his own bowl with him to the bed he used to eat there. He was still uneasy about that reunion, and it was clear on his face.

"H-Hey... it-it's okay T-Talbot. I-I promise he-he won't come near th-this place again..." he said gently. Arron was not going to let that man interfere in their travels & goal.

Talbot flinched the instant he heard his name, and he dropped the spoon onto the floor with a clang. His eyes seemed to change merely seconds later, and a grin passed onto his face, unlike any expression he'd made before. He leaned back where he was sitting and ran his fingers through his hair. "It doesn't matter if he does or not. Either way, I don't really give a damn." he smirked. The knight looked like a completely different person just from how he'd started acting.

(You have some explainin' to do... >.> TC.) Looking at his friend's sudden change a thought popped into his head. "...So... that's... Plan B..." Arron said slowly. He was oddly calm or was appearing to be. The mechanic was still injured & did not wish to have his wound used against him.

Talbot stood, stretching his arms over his head. "It's boring, just sitting around here. I'm up for something more entertaining." he walked over to where Arron was, and put his foot up onto the panel Arron used as a bed, leaning and looking him dead in the eye with a certain intimidating confidence. "Entertain me." his words came out low and threatening as his grin turned into more of a sneer.

His eyebrow twitched in annoyance & embarrassment. In a flash of movement Arron grabbed his cup of water & promptly doused the knight. "I think y-you need to cool off my-my friend." he said flatly.

The knight didn't seem phased, and merely flicked his hair with a nod of his head, sending water all over the mechanic. "I didn't know you wanted me wet so badly." he said, sounding amused. He then stood tall again and put both feet firmly on the ground once more. "If you're not looking for a good time, don't bother seeing me out. For your own good." his eyes turned cold and dark. "I'll cut you down."

There was a flash of anger in the young man's eyes. "This... is not you. Y-You know this." said Arron standing as well. He towered over his friend. He had a slight advantage of his friend due to his height. "You are n-not going to leave. R-Remember, you have to-to go home, & see your parents after four years." he added while placing his hands on the knights' shoulders.

The knights eyes seemed to flash threateningly as Arron placed his hands on him. "Don't touch me unless you plan on going all the way, kid." he said, looking him dead in the eye. This man was not like Talbot at all. He was confident, dominant, and cruel. "I don't care about those people. They were idiots to have a kid everyone would cast out." his grin reappeared as he stared into Arron's eyes, or perhaps right through them. "Did you hear that, old man? I hope you're listening."
