"I apologize if that was overdone, to cause such wounds," Denbe winced as he stood and readied himself again, bowing quickly.
"Once more, good luck to you."
While Denbe was still having some minor misgivings, however, Zanzen was readying to distribute swift, lightning speed justice.

@Scorpion Shenanigans
Kojiro would exhale as he walked towards the scorpion tent. "I think Horiuchi-san may have witnessed something that would be of great interest to us. However, her mind is ...fragmented. Getting such information from her may be difficult. The way she reacted towards me may mean that it could be something like a small clash along our common border gone awry. We'll just have to wait and see."
The Scorpion wearily opened the door to the tent and entered the room. "If she cannot be tamed, then perhaps she can be directed. At least that is my hope. Do you have any information for me, Naizen-san?"

@Juijutsu Duel:
There was nothing to it. He would be unable to deal with the Hare unless he hit hard and inhibited the man's ability to accurately aim those deadly feet. So as soon as Kuni Raicho opened her mouth and even started to utter the word GO, he was off like lightning. As if blessed by the Kami to be as swift as the wind itself, he was already attacking Denbe,coming in like lightning with a double forward palm.
Full Attack: Both on Damage.

Denbe started in on the Crane- but there was no hope. This time Zanzen was really ready, and like a divine wind he outsped the Hare and no sooner did he push himself forward than he realized he should have been throwing himself backward- the first palm took full advantage of their combined speed, snapping the bushi's head backward and collapsing his nose with a crack and spurt of blood- and with the second palm blow he stumbled backward, practically falling over.
Denbe's head throbbed and his vision spun as if he might still be tumbling over.
No chance he'd be able to hold his own in a prolonged fight like this- and it seemed as if the Crane had left himself open. Thought it might perhaps have been the way he was swimming in his vision.
Denbe had one shot to make him hurt about as much as he was, or this round was going to the Crane.
And so the Hare fell over backward, palm contacting the dirt for balance as one leg sloppily slung itself high through the air, not a risk at all to Zanzen- and created leverage to spin his whole body over, swinging the heel of the second in his direction.
[Denbe is crippled!] [Full Attack Stance. Three raises to accuracy, two to damage.] [6k4+15 Jiujutsu(Striking): 45 vs Zanzen's TNtbh+20]

@Juijutsu Duel:
CRACK! Just after he felt his hand crash into the Hare, he was in turn smashed by the Hare's foot, sending him spinning to the ground for a second. Seeing barely anything but stars, he attempted to continue pushing the attack, swinging a wide blow towards Denbe.
Full Attack, using 3 raises to counteract my Injured status and 2 for damage.

Wobbling, Denbe not so much avoided the blow as was luck enough to be stumbling away from it, rather than toward it. Blinking, he saw the Crane off-balanced. He was just as bad off, so he had to just keep pushing and hope that the Kami were really smiling on his ugly mug today.
Snorting a shot of blood from either nostril, Denbe winced and stepped forward in a wobbly fashion, before starting a long series of quick jabs after his foe.

@ Juijutsu Duel:
With that miss, his fate was sealed as the Hare counter attacked. The pain from the kick and the lack of vision had doomed him as a flurry of quick punches came in, hitting the same ribs as last time. Grabbing his, once again, cracked ribs, the Crane fell over, out.

Denbe stopped, wobbling on his feet and panting, as he watched the Crane lay for moment. Convinced he wasn't getting up after all, the Hare begrudgingly used his dark red clothes to hide a smear of blood he wiped out from under his nose, before leaning down to help the Crane to his feet again. This time with a great deal more effort and wobbling than before. And more than ready to turn him over to the first able shoulder he could get the man near.
"Well fought, Kakita-san," Denbe said, his mind not quiet yet registering what this particular victory meant.
