"Where as I and I suspect Pasura deal or should I say dabble in both and Bez is the opposite of you." Ai remarks lightly giving the young serpentine a wink.

Pasura blushes a deep rich purple and shrugs. "I never knew until recently that I could access that which I could always see. I... I thought it was a quirk of my nature, nothing more."

"Some quirk..." teases Em gently. "And I'll add my knowledge as well... for what it's worth."

Emnast shakes his head. "No... I have the knowledge they departed to me, but nothing more. I am, quite plainly... what you see before ye. I was... reborn in a new life through her act... with a full knowledge of the wrongs I had done, given a chance to redeem myself, but forbidden to touch the other upon pain of true dissolution. I do have some meager skills as an electrum... mostly nature based... natural energies and the like."

"What about?" asks Emnast out of curiosity.

Emnast nods solemnly. "Feel free to pluck my thoughts, if you think they will help... I've avoided thinking about it for years."

The sound of someone clearing their throat at the doorway claims their attention. Bez is standing there with Ari and Mara, one to a side, his ong fingered hands resting lightly on their shoulders. "Ari says she has something to tell you and Pasura." says Bez with a twisted grin.

The small red-haired teen shuffles her feet self-consciously, staring at her toes. Bez hand tighten slightly and she looks up at him with a shy grin, then over to the others. "I'm sorry for scaring you like that... I... I kind of panicked."

"kind of, my foot..." grumbles Mara testily under her breath. Bez's other hand tightens considerably more and she grimaces. "Sorry, Sis..." she whispers softly. "But it's true..." she adds as an after thought, twisting out of her father's grip. "Ye could have dropped me...."

Ari's eyes drop once again to the floor. "I know..." she replies in a voice so soft it almost can't be heard.

"What the..." cries Bez angrily, but Ai calms him down with a touch.

"Shhh... I know... I know.... He's a do first then ask person, but he's not going to hurt her, dulcha. And he's only doing that which is necessary, nothing more. Be ready though, he may call on you for help. Mara fetch me some blankets and a couple of pillows for the pallet please."

"Wha... what is he doing to her?" she begs backing relunctantly out of the room.

He doesn't even feel Emnast come up behind him to support him or see Bez take Ari in his arms without breaking their contact, so hard is he at work.

Mara fetches the blankets and pillows then stares in horror as she watches everyone work on her sister's mind. "Why are they doing this?" she begs worriedly.

Ai looks at Pasura and nods to the door taking them both in his hand and guiding them outside. "Pasa, tell her a little... not everything... she doesn't need to be frightened any more than she is, but her worry will interfere with what they are doing in there." Then he turns to go back in.

"Mama... answer me." she begs.

Pasura smiles at her and leads her towards a bench. "The Singer is needed inside. But I can answer some things. Ari has skills, like mine... sort of... and your Daddy's and my sirrah's... but she can't control them very well and used too much of them all at once because she was scared. It kind of burnt her a little on the inside, so they are trying to fix it so it doesn't hurt her any more."
