tam decides a little hands on distraction is needful here and scratches kero's ears and belly, telling him he shouldn't do anything he might regret later....
lyssan chuckles from where she is sitting across the room on an enormous beanbag... ha... him regret anything... he's a massive bundle of regret... wrong term to use kiddo... but heh... yer right about that iffin he hurt little kero, he'd be beside himself trying to make up for it... and from the look of things... if it got that bad... someone would have deserved it and he'd be upset for all the wrong reasons.... she glares at both keros and says firmly now be quiet the two of ye... we're coming to the best part....

*Kero purrs so loudly at the scratching that Lyssan has to turn up the volume...and L. Kero floats over and snuggles with his mama...and the rest of the movie night passes without incident...excepting a small squabble over popcorn...but that is easily fixed...and everyone goes to sleep happy and content*

as tam walks into the bedroom, carrying a sleepy kero to bed, lyssan stops him at the door... ye smell of zel... she says with a grimace... how is he?....
tam assures her that he believes the cat to be fine, that the meeting had been too brief to tell anything more...
she sighs and eyes him thoughtfully... do ye want me to watch over the cub while ye go track him down....
tam shakes his head no and smile tiredly... when zel wants to see me, ma... he will... i can wait.....
lyssan nods thoughtfully... ok... i guess that may be the best course... g'night child of me heart....
night, ma... see ye in the morning....

*Come three AM, Kero awakens...scampering out the door before anyone knows he's gone...he's caught a different scent this time...electrum...a very rare and valuable metal...*

tam wakes up and panics.... then he remembers that kero tends to follow his nose... pulling on his clothes he goes to the main floor hall way and tries to catch the cub's scent...

*He catches Kero's scent, even spying the cub as he gets out of the elevator...Kero sees him too...and is gone in a flash...twisting this way and that...trying to lose the fox...Tam finds himself running out of breath after a while...*

then he does a headsmack and goes fox form... finding it much easier to stay on the cub trail as well as keep him in sight...

*Looking back, Kero sees that Tam is now a fox...and immediately puts on an extra burst of speed...they eventually wind up in the park...where Kero dives underground, surfacing every ten feet for air*

tam realizes he seems to be swimming in the dirt, going in a circle, looking for something, so he hops up on top of a nearby slide and watches him from there....

*Slowly, the circle sinks, revealing Kero, who has a stone clutched in his teeth...one that shines with gold and silver...electrum ore...and Tam, feeling behind him, realizes that there is a sword stuck into the stone he's sitting on...Kero comes up to him, eyes orange*

tam chuckles bitterly... i seem to have moved without realizing it... he shifts form and checks out the sword...
naw... it couldn't be.. could it.. he gives it a thorough examination, then tries to pull it out....

tam throws up his hands and laughs with him... then carches himself in a gigantic yawn... the early morning sunlight is beginning to peek over the treetops... he stretches and hops down, landing as a fox... race ye back... he offers with a lopsided foxy grin blaugh

*At the sound of an illusory gun, the tow of them are off...neck and neck...Kero's a quick runner*
Note: So am I...I've been clocked sprinting at 15 MPH...and once ran a mile in 6 minutes...
