Well, I'm born and raised in Sweden, but I have blood from lots of different places. Surinam, The Netherlands, China, Africa, Norway and probably some more.

I lost track of my heritage! I live in America, but I'm part German, Irish, Native American (can't remember which), British, and Asian (don't know which).

Er... critiques of your poll? Because I can?
1) You don't have a choice for American. Many people are just... American. Not German. Not Irish. American... their families have been in America for many generations, and they may or may not be of mixed blood.
2) You grouped Spanish and Mexican together... Spanish people come from Spain, which is in Europe. Then there are Latin Americans, who could be Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Guatemalans, Brazilians, or any other nationality from that area. They would be Latin Americans, not Spanish. While, yes, the Spanish did settle that area, many people who live there now have a mixed ancestry from the Spanish and the natives, so they're not REALLY Spanish.
3) Maybe add Scandinavian to your poll for those of us who are from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, etc? Just a thought...
I don't mean to be TOO critical, I just thought you should know the few minor flaws in your poll... otherwise, it's a good discussion and I don't see anything racist about it. smile

Veruniel It's sort of amusing, really. When I lived in the US, other races had all sort of subsets to choose from when filling in ethnicity forms, but Europeans didn't have anything but 'Caucasian' (which I disliked, btw, because I'm not from the Caucases... I'm British). Here in Britian, Europeans get to pick between British, Irish, and Other White. Personally I'm English, Welsh, Irish and north German with just a touch of French. I'm considered 'mixed race' around here. lol 3nodding I hate that -- that all "whites" are "Caucasian". I usually put "other" when I have to fill out a survey or whatever.

Miss Mosquito 100% Filipina
born there. raised there.
i hate it here in the states. =/
i also dislike the fact that we're considered "pacific islander", not "asian". x_x Agreed, but then again what are Filipinos made of? [I'm also a Filipina]. Our country have been raped so many times. So we're technically, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish [From Spain], Europeans, Black, Americans..and lots more...-.-''..can't keep track anymore. I was also born there, grew up there but currently residing in America since I was 10..I'm 16 now..
