El Cuquy (he's really called el cuco, but ever since i was little i called him el Cuquy) is the latin american/Puerto rican equivalent of the boogeyman.
El Chupacabra is the famous "Suck goat" that appeared first in Puerto Rico... and then later in Mexico when they stole him from us...
scream and was known for sucking goats, rabbits, and small farm animals completely dry of blood.
