Shrian smiled, closing his eyes and shaking his head slightly. "Don't you think it's just a bit too sudden for me to say? I mean, really, you've only just truly come out to show me the real you. I can't exactly show affection towards a girl I've viewed as a small child for over a month now, can I?" he asked with a small laugh, walking slowly to the waters' edge. His eyes flashed as they met with the reflection of the moon on the water. An eerie blue glow resonated in his twin spheres for a moment before dispursing to his original eye color.
Blinking out of his momentary daze, Shrian's eyes wandered to Fiye for a moment, looking over at her curiously. Not only had her appearance changed, but her clothing attire as well. She wore a long, rather nice dress that looked serene and almost perfect alongside the lake. He smile flickered across his lips, musing at how sudden Fiye had come out to him. 'Well, I can't just say anything yet. I'd rather at least try to get to know the true Fiye before making any assumptions about my feelings for her.

"Oh, dear me," Fiye said with her smile still on her own flustered face, "You've known me for long enough. I never hid my own behaviors, although alot of it was brought out by my own appearance. I suppose that's why I chose to be a nine year old. She was cute, innocent, and could get away with stealing a few dollars. Wouldn't you admit that. Anyways, come in. The water's good enough for me," Fiye said as she quickly ran up to Shrian before pulling him into the water, "Come on. Don't worry about getting a cold or something," Fiye added with a laugh. Hoping that by some chance she'd cause Shrian to trip into the water.
'I need to tellhim I do like him though,' Fiye thought to herself, remembering the hug she had given him, 'He's nice and all. He doesn't like to take advantage of me, and I already know him well enough. Perhaps, in a week I'll tell him how much I like him. Perhaps by then he'll like me back, and a little rollercoaster could be started' FIye thought to herself. Pondering what he could be like in five, ten, and even twenty years. Both of them would be evolving. Herself to be a shape shifter and him to be a person that would never bleed when he would get shot.

Sighing loudly, Seij turned off his TV. He quickly ran his fingers through his hair out of boredom. "Damnit all." Seij remarked, even though there was no one around to hear him. Setting the remote down, Seij looked around his desolate apartment. Everything about the apartment seemed lonely, from the stark furniture, to the bland colors.
Sighing once more Seij got up from the couch that most nights also served as a bed. Walking slowly over to the coat rack, he grabbed his dark leather jacket, basically the only item that he had that was dark in color. Snatching up his keys, Seij exited his apartment, shutting and locking the door behind him with an audible click.
As Seij walked down the dimly lit hallway, he threw the heavy jacket over his shoulders, not really caring, or even noticing how heavy it was. As Seij entered the stairwell, he could hear his own footsteps echoing off the barren concrete walls. Always fun to walk down these steps at night.
Starting down the steps, Seij could almost feel the vibrations from the sound of his movements reverberating off the walls. As he made it to the lower-most level he was greeted by one of the landlords. Waving to acknowledge that he saw her, and also to kind of greet her as well without saying a word, Seij stepped outside, into the cool, clear night.
Seij took a quick glance at the sky, and then at the street in front of him, before continuing on his way. I wonder what is in store for me in the near future? Seij thought, a question that usually popped into his head when he had not much else to think about.
The usual circus act of people that surface out of their usual, grimy hiding places were just starting to creep out from their hiding places. Prostitutes looking for a quick buck, the homeless sleeping on heating grates, and many other oddities that, well, would rather not be described.
Seij, unlike his usual self, did not heed any of these people if he could help it. Usually he would spare some change for a homeless person, if he had any, but tonight he was too absorbed in his own little bubble of thoughts.
Seij's dark eyes shone as he looked up at the moon. Smiling a little, he turned his attention back to where he was walking. Perfect night for a stroll in the park. He idly thought, as he saw the park in all it's mysterious splendor up ahead of him.
It was peaceful in the park at night, as long as one did not wander too near to 'Lover's Cove'. The moon, if it was not obscured by clouds, would shine through the trees as they swayed and danced in the slight breeze that usually blew through the park, throwing interesting patterns of pale yellow light onto the grass. The breeze was usually a welcome one, as long as it was not a cold night, which to Seij's delight, it was not.
Sitting down on a random bench in the park, Seij looked around, smiling inwardly as he saw no one else. Just me and my thoughts. I guess I can't complain. Seij thought, as he closed his eyes, his white hair, now shining in the moon's light, swaying in the slight breeze.
Seij took off his coat, finding the temperature more than comfortable, or at least more comfortable than he first thought it would be, looking out upon the world through the window in his apartment. Seij stretched his arms over the back of the bench, relaxing himself. Warm, peaceful, quiet. I can't ask for better conditions. Seij thought, as he closed his eyes, relishing the moment.
Opening his eyes slowly, he looked out on the park, happy to see that it was still rather empty and peaceful, other than the odd noise that echoed amongst the many trees. Feeling relaxed and tranquil, Seij sighed in content. Smiling, he thought, Well, it's as relaxing as a spa, but it's free.
"Well, I guess it won't hurt to do some night-time training, as long as I'm not too loud." Seij said to no one, as he gathered up his coat, and headed off in the direction of the lake. Arriving at the edge of the lake, Seij set down his coat, whilst looking for a suitable spot to do some light training. As he scanned the area, two figures on the other side of the lake caught his eye. He would have taken a closer look, if it had not been that he assumed it was just a couple spending some time together.
Shrugging it off, Seij found a small clearing amongst the trees, which would serve his training well. Stepping out into the clearing, his white hair and clothes now having sort of an eerie glow about them from the moon, Seij got himself ready.
Let me see.... how did I acheive that glow around my hands earlier? He thought to himself as he reminisced on recent events. He pictured the events in his head, his mind sort of like his personal video player, playing only his memories.
The first time he had noticed anything out of the ordinary was when he tried a punch on a tree, which effectively stripped it of its bark, as well as making a small divot in it. The other time, which was when he decided that he was, indeed, a Transcendent, was when he was foolishly protecting that woman that he didn't even know.
Coming back to reality, Seij took a small breath and closed his eyes, before imitating the stance he had when he decided that he was a Transcendent. Once again, he focused his 'chi' to his palms. He could feel energy pulsating and flowing into his hands, and when he opened his eyes, he was overjoyed to see a slight purple glow emanating from his hands.
Smirking, Seij thrust his hand into the ground, and felt the energy push out from his hand, a shower of dead leaves and pine needles flying up from around him. When the leaves and needles settled, Seij could see the small impact crater in the ground, exactly where he had felt the energy go to.
Eyes twinkling, Seij walked back over to his coat, almost in a stupor, as he sat down, looking at his palms. So. I now know that I am, without a shadow of a doubt, a Transcendent. I guess I was just a late bloomer. Seij thought, as he lay back on the grass, putting his hands behind his head. He gazed up at the night sky, feeling happier at that moment, then he has for a long while.

[[Illy's back! For a while, at least. xP]]
Shrian gasped, caught off guard as he was pulled into the slightly chilly lake water. His head submerged for a moment, eyes closing a moment, before pushing off the shallow bottom, head bursting through the water as his eyes blinked open. When he surfaced, his hair looked sleak and smooth, touching his shoulders lightly in brown tresses. His tight black shirt was soaked through, exposing his muscles more now than before.
"Fiye!" he exclaimed, a near serious look on his face. In a moment though, he broke out laughing, jumping at his friend and tackling her into the water. "I'll get you back for that one!" His black coat slipped off of his shoulders as he moved forward, floating back to rest lightly on the shore. As Shrian's arms wrapped around FIye in a gentle tackle, he flinched, a sharp double pain on each of his shoulder blades starting to throb out of nowhere. He payed it no heed, though, twisting in mid-air and landing in the shallows on his back, Fiye still clutched protectively in his arms.
Opening his eyes after having closed them for a moment upon hitting the water, Shrian blinked up at Fiye, smiling playfully. "Gotcha." His voice was still calm and soft, tranquil as always. But now, there was a hint of something else, something dangerously close to a loving tone. It was true, he had known Fiye for quite some time. The least he could do was show his appreciation to her by being a friend.
All at once, though, he flinched, the pain in his shoulders doubling. He gasped, the pain increasing every second. He rolled over subconciously, Fiye rolling off to the side as Shrian knelt in the shallows. His arms were bent over her back, clawing at his shoulder blades almost violently. He growled, a fresh wave of pain burning into his back. "What the...?" he gasped loudly, clenching his eyes shut as he felt something puncture his skin. Under his fingertips, he felt something strangely familiar. Fingertips.
His eyes flew open, looking wildly around as if to confirm he wasn't dreaming. Once again, though, his twin spheres closed shut as he let out another loud growl, clenching his teeth as another thing punctured his skin. Both moved slowly outwards from his shoulder blades, stretching back slightly. At the back of his mind, a vague thought passed his mind. 'There's...No blood...'
Letting out one last growl of pain, he finally felt a small amount of blood running down his back. Without thinking, he tore off his shirt, in one movement, throwing it aside. His vision was blurry as he gazed behind him, two short, deformed arms still moving slowly from his back. One last wave of imense pain throbbed on each shoulder blade, a small, pitiful cry escaping his lips before Shrian fell forward into the water, a shroud of darkness enveloping his eyes as conciousness slipped from his grasp.

Seij looked up from his position on the ground as he heard some sort of growl. Expecting that it was a dog of some sort, he sat up and looked around, but saw nothing. Curious, he stood up and looked around, only for his ears to be met by another growl, only, this time around it seemed more human.
Instinctively, his eyes wandered back over to the couple he had seen earlier, only to see one of the pair bent over while the other one was in the water. The one that was bent over seemed to scratch at their back, as though there was something wrong.
As the arms came out, Seij only saw lumps. What the hell? he thought as he saw the 'lumps' form on the person's back. Wait, could it be the same as what happened to that girl? Seij asked himself as he picked up his things and started jogging towards the couple.
Halfway there he heard a strangled cry, before hearing a slight splash. At this point he started to run, thinking that the person might be seriously injured, and had just fainted.
As he got closer and closer, Seij could see that the person who had those lumps forming on their back was a male, and he was face-down in the water. The girl beside him seemed sort of dazed. Seij looked at the man's back, only to see arms deformed arms slowly moving outwards from his shoulder blades. So it is the same.
Seij slowed down and approached the two slowly, so as not to surprise the girl. Bending down beside the man, he looked at the girl. "Hey, it seems like you might need some help." he said, as he turned the man over, to reveal that it was that guy from before, the guy that he was supposed to meet tommorow.
Looking again to the girl, he stated, "I'm going to move him out of the water and onto dry land." He then waited for the girl to agree or disagree. If she didn't want him to help, then he wouldn't, although Seij would find it baffling why someone would not want help when something like their friend started randomly growing arms out their back.

((Alright, it seems I am beginning to emerge from my roleplaying slump... at least, I hope I am.))
Fiye giggled as she watched Shrian fall into the water, much to her own intended results. She couldn't help but find herself amused by the boy's reaction to being thrown down into the water, but when she heard his voice, sh eknew she would soon be thrusted into the water as well.
"Hey, Shri-!" Fiye exlcaimed trying to back away as her waist as grabbed by Shrian's arms. She couldn't help but feel her own feet slip on something that felt like a soap like substance as she was thrusted onto the water, Shrian's grip still on her body. Her own clothes had been wet, her her hair clung on her own clothes, some of it laying on her own face, and several strands of hair laying on Shrian's own face. She couldn't help but laugh to herself, hearing him say 'Gotcha' as if he had done some kind of insanely difficult task.
"It couldn't have been that easy," Fiye remarked as she laid in Shrian's grasp, just letting everything about the moment sink in and etch themselves onto her own memories. Although, somethig about the mood had changed when Shrian had taken a rather painful gasp. Immediantley, as Shrian was rolling over, she broke from his gasp, looking around her surrondings as she tried to figure out what may have been happening.
But, releif came upon her when she looked at his arms, flailing about at hsi shoulder blades. Immediantley, she ha a feeling of what was happening, and when she had seen him throw away his shirt in one tear, she tacked him into the water, quickly making sure his back was in the water so no one would be able to see his new, and apparent deformity. She could only gase at his eyes before planting her own face into his chest, doing everything in her power to stay calm. Now, he had gotten a physical deformity, something that could be used against him if he were ever to be caught.
"Shrian," Fiye started, leting her head pick up from his chest, "Is everything okay?" It was the only thing she could say, even as she pulled his torn shirt and forced it around his shoulder blades, where his new arms had come. Letting any amount of blood to fall upon the cloth, and not into the water, in case anyone was paying attention.
Although, when she had regained her senses of her surrondings, she heard Seij, and looked at him with a frightened look, before giving a small smile, "No, he's okay," Fiye remarked with a smile, "Just get his coat, we'll take him back home,"

Seij nodded and went and picked up the coat. He returned to the woman, and handed her the coat. As he handed it to her, he said, "Don't worry I know this guy, and I know that he is Transcendant. I also know that he has extra appendiges."
Kneeling down he looked at Fiye. "So, are you going to carry him, or shall I?" Seij asked, doubting very much that she would be able to haul Shrian back to his apartment. "This may seem weird, but I also know what building he lives in, but I do not know his apartment number." he said, as he ran back to shore to fetch his own coat. throwing it on he made his way back to Fiye. Shrian was floating in his own mind, his subconcious working furiously in his absent state. 'Two extra arms...Just like Iris...' he thought in awe. He could feel Fiye against him in his mind, though everything was still completely black. 'Fiye...How do you feel about me now?' His thoughts were saddened, knowing full well that his extra arms would ruin his own life now.
The shroud of darkness became less intense as he heard far away voices. Though faint and faded, he recognized Fiye's immediatly. The other was of a man who's voice he couldn't match with anyone he knew. 'Great, already someone knows of my mutation...' he thought angrily. Sighing in his own mind, he struggled to wake his physical body, trying desperately to move back into a concious state.
Shrian's eyes flickered open, feeling a dull throb of pain in his shoulders as an after-effect from earlier. He winced slightly as he was moved, eyes opening half-way to look tiredly up at Fiye. "You called?" he asked, a bit of dry humor in his husky voice. Despite the fact that he was in a lake, his mout was hopelessly dry, tongue sticking to the roof of his mouth. "I think I'll be able to walk...As long as my coat's covering my back..." He placed his hands on the lake bottom, pushing his dripping self out of the water fully. He flinched once again, smirking mirthlessly. "I did get you back, though." he commented to Fiye, moisture returning slightly his mouth and lips.

Seij lightly scratched the back of his head, before saying, "Hey, Shrian. You probably remember me from before. Anyways, I was out for a little late-night training until I heard growling, and I came to inspect." Seij smiled a little bit, his white hair flowing slightly in the breeze.
"Anyways, I think you should get back to your place and have a rest. I'm pretty sure that growing extra appendiges would be quite draining." He said as he noticed something. He's not bleeding. What the hell? he thought, before mentally shrugging.
He looked to Fiye, before looking back at Shrian. "Would you mind me walking with you two? You seem like you could collapse any moment, and if that happens I don't want you to do it in the middle of the street and have people gawking at you." Seij said. He knew that people would not accept him for having extra appendages, and would most likely either shun him, or try to kill him.

"I should really.." Fiye added, placing the coat onto Shrian's back before kicking up a bit of water. If anything, it would slightly wet him.
Still, she couldn't help but smile at Shrian's efforts to liven up the situation. When transcendents finally went through their first physical change, their lives as it were, forever over, unless they had an ability like hers, though, that happened to rare, at least compared to seeing how many people had gotten a pair of two arms. It wasn't too long before she ran towards Shrian's side, completely ignoring Seij and the past events as if it never happened. To her, this was like her first date... or at least something like it at the very least.
They have had their bit of fun already. She was going to plan on living the rest of her life, tending to Shrian's needs as his arms became stronger, whether it would be used to support his own weight in mid air, for as a fully developed extra pair of appendages.
"We should plan on leaving this place Shrian," Fiye added with a sigh as she walked along side her friend, taking the shortest route to their apartment, "Or perhaps we should cut those things off for you. Since you don't bleed easily, it wouldn't hurt you that much," Fiye added with a smile, trying her best to sound happy about the situation, but her words came out primarily due to concern. She didn't want Shrian to die just because her had two deformed arms. Silly, she continued to walk along, hoping he'd know where they could go. As far as she knew, everywhere outside the city was a desert of grass and animals. Her own life had revolved around the city, and even then she only lived in one part of the city out of many.

Seij held up a hand as the 'couple' walked by. "Um.... yeah, that was real nice." he said out loud, as he started in the direction of his own apartment, which happened to be in the same direction that Shrian and Fiye were going. I wish I didn't have to follow behind them, especially after she just bluntly ignored me. Seij thought to himself before letting out a sigh and placing his hand behind his head.
OK, so his night didn't turn out as perfect as he would have wished. An ideal night would have to be able to train in peace, and return home after a slight rest near the lake. He let out another sigh and shrugged. Well, I guess it just can't be helped. Seij thought, as he let his eyes wander to the brilliant sky. It was filled with many bright stars. Seij smiled slightly, thankful that it was a clear night.
The huge expanse of the night sky made him seem kind of small and insignificant, but that feeling did not last long. It was replaced by a thankfullness that he would now be able to return homw and get some much needed rest.

[[I meant for this post to be before yours, Seij, but my computer died. e.e;;]]
Shrian pushed himself up slowly, taking a step backwards to regain his balance. He first turned to Seij, smiling appologetically. "Yes, I remember you. We have a meeting in the morning. But don't worry about walking me back; it's a bit past midnight, so I don't think people will be out. I'll see you in the morning, Seij." With nod of thanks and aknowledging, Shrian moved off with Fiye, walking back towards his apartment, aware of Seij following behind, though paying it no heed.
Walking slowly, eyes on the ground, Shrian was all too aware of the throbbing on his shoulder blades. He ignored it, too many pressing matters crossing his mind at the moment. At the mention of cutting off the extra appendages, though, he blanched, looking at Fiye with an almost blanching look. "Cut them off? As much as I hate thinking about how the future will be with these things, they're a part of me now. I'm not about to be ashamed of being what I am." he said quietly with a small smile.
"But you may be right...This city is going to become unsafe soon..." He trailed off, possibilities of escape running through his mind. He knew that there were Transcendant haven towns, but he needed to find out where they were. He sighed tiredly, running a hand distractedly through his long hair. He looked back at Fiye and smiled once again, a warm, comforting smile. "We'll figure it out, I'm sure. But you'd better know that you're gonna be stuck with me for wuite some time to come." he said jokingly, running his shoulder into hers playfully.

"It should be easy, I bet. We just need to find a few others, and we'll be good," Fiye said with a smile as continued along the sidewalk, uttering a small sigh of relief as she continued along. She didn't unstand why she gave the sigh, but perhaps the fact that the weight of the world had fallen off of her own shoulders had been gone, seeing that Shrian would be taking care of hiding his new appendages.
"Thought, we'll have to get around. I assume they'd be on a far away island, if anywhere else," FIye added in a tough as she felt Shrian rub himself against her arm, giving a small sigh as she rubbed her head against it, "Still, I wonder what will become of them. WIngs would be cool, but I'd rather see four arms for once. I have certain thoughts about them," Fiye said with a smile, trying to imagine how having a second set of arms would feel like, "But, still, they would probabily be far off. Perhaps we should take Iris, Nyte with us to one of the sancturaries. It's what would be best for all of us, seeing as half of us are no longer human in their eyes." Fiye adeed, her vision comming upon the hotel already, "Well, we'll get on with our lives, one day at a time I suppose," FIye said with a smile, picking her head up before giving a kiss onto Shrian's cheeks, "Thanks for the help though,"

Shrian shrugged, feeling the weight of his new arms behind him as he did so. Lifting the coat carefully off of one shoulder, he blinked behind him as he continued to walk, raising an eyebrow in a curious expression. "You know...Those don't look like normal arms...Or hands, for that matter..." he mused, wondering if they would turn into wings instead of extra arms. 'Well, at least those wouldn't be too much of an eyesore...' he thought almost miserably.
Blinking as Fiye's lips made contact with his cheek, he smirked slightly, a light blush appearing slowly on the cheek she'd kissed. Glad that it was night time and too dark to see, Shrian continued on in a thoughtful muse. 'I don't know...Fiye's nice, at least the real Fiye is. She seems to enjoy my company, which is rare within' humans and Transcendants alike. I do like her a lot, though, I'm not sure in what way yet...I don't know, we'll see what happens, I suppose...' His thoughts trailed off into nothing, glancing up to see his building looming over them both.
Coming to the entrance of the apartment complex, Shrian hung a right through the door, waving jovially to the doorman, who waved back with a smile of recognition, though a slightly odd look. 'Good, looks like he can't tell.' The thought was relieved, glad he could at least hide his mutation. Pressing the up arrow outside of the elevator, Shrian stepped inside as the doors opened, leaning against the wall as the doors closed himself and Fiye in. He sighed, running his fingers distractedly through his wet hair once again. The habit showed one of two things: Shrian was either deep in thought, or severely tired. At this point, however, he was a bit of both.
Lowering his hand, he blinked down at himself, a light laugh escaping his lips. "Well, that would explain the odd look I recieved from the doorman." he said humorously, looking at his bare chest. "I forgot that my shirt is still in the lake." He shook his head, smiling absent mindedly. "So much has happened tonight. New things, happy things, painful things. Just a whole new world, I guess." His voice was calm, his eyes turning to Fiye with a soft smile. His eyes shimmered for a moment, a few stray thoughts passing through his already thought-clogged mind. 'We'll see what happens...'

"He might be thinking you've done something you shouldn't have. You left with a child, and came back with a young woman. I wonder how Iris will react to everything. I mean, to think that you're missing a shirt and you've dropped a child for a woman. I'd have strange suspicions as well, you know," Fiye added with a smile, before pausing to make a statement.
"It's a whole new world," Fiye started, with a smile trying to recall a quote from some book she may have read. Although, it was probabily twisted in her own manner, "A world where perhaps the most dangerous changes are ones we don't know why they happen. All we know is that we know it's happening, and all we can do is accept it, or kill it off," Fiye added with a sigh as her held her head for a moment. Immediantley, she found herself becoming light headed. At once, her body could be seen floating as she groaned in pain, and within three seconds, her body was once again affected by gravity, her own body being quickly pulled down to the ground.
She groaned, unconsciously, in pain. As a pair of short claws shortly appeared on her hand for a moment, before falling away in the same scaled pattern. Any half knowledagable person would know something was going on with her tranformation. She was once again transcending, for the first time in about two years. It wasn't perhaps a good place for it to happen, but she didn't have the choice in where and when it happened.
