All that would go through Hiro's mind was the good times. Whether or not it was purely debauchery or genuine friendship, Hiro owed so much to Cartwright and had hoped when he returned they could bury the past of 2016 a d become friends again. Here they were, however-- eight years later, and Cartwright was about to end Hiro's career once again. A few tears escaped Hiro's eyes as he started to stir again at the count of seven, getting to his hands and knees at eight as Cartwright re-entered the ring. The fans cried out in defiance as a shot hit against Hiro's back with the chair. The ref screamed at Cartwright, scolding him as the match was close to ending, but the boss ignored as a second shot smashed against the back of Hiro's head, driving more tacks into his face, causing a pool of dark red blood to form beneath him. A third shot to the injured arm. Another to his legs. Another to the back, second to the arm. Finally the ref screamed "ENOUGH!" and went to call for the bell -- but Cartwright wouldn't let him, demanding he count to ten.
...and so he did. For an uncomfortable, depressing, harrowing, and unnecessary ten seconds, the ref would count Hiro down. There was no movement. The bell would ring, and Cartwright had defeated Hiro Shin-Mozas tonight

Several trainers, staff doctors, refs, and EMTs would come rushing from the back with a stretcher and several bags. Cartwright, the man that paid their salary and put them into this emergency mess, was a part of the background as they focused in on Hiro Shin Mozas. It was within seconds that they had swarmed the ring, putting on gloves and covering their faces, and began to extract Hiro carefully from the blood and pile of tacks he was nestled into. They would turn him over on to a cot and began to drag it across the ring away from the destruction and of course, from Cartwright as well. Amongst the blood and metal were three teeth which had been knocked out by Cart's head shot, and impossible to see the nakes eye -- tears. There were several fans in tears as Hiro entered their line of sight at ringside, others silently staring into the ring in disgust and contempt at the still posing Cartwright. It wasn't often that something like this, so dangerous and so disgusting, would truly happen to the degree it did. Hiro's body was swelling and he was bruised, unconscious and bleeding profusely from a gash on his head and little drops escaping his mouth.
To the average person, they were sure he was dead. To the average fan, they knew they wouldn't see him again. However, to the few that carried the will that had fueled Hiro his whole life, they knew the be-all, end-all truth...this wouldn't be it. This was not the end of Hiro Shin-Mozas, as one way or another, the man would always come around. Where there was a will, there was a way.
