Picking A First Project

Now that you know what you're working with, you need to pick a project. Here's a list of projects that is easy to make and functional.

Cloak and Capes

Making a simple cloak or cape is super easy and mostly involves doing straight lines. If you want to insert a lining it's not that hard.

Dresses

There's a few dresses that are 4 or less pieces to the pattern and it's an opportunity to dapple around with high reward.

Pajamas

Pajamas are a popular first project. It helps you to learn the difficulty of making pants, but with forgiving fabrics.

Overtops

There is some overtops that are super easy to do and again, not hard to make. Jackets can be complicated by things like interfacing and layering, but try maybe these simple pieces.

Skirts

Skirts is another item that is normally super easy to do. Most skirts are made up of four pieces (two skirt and two belt). Even if there is more pieces it's normally still fairly simple.
