(The large rocks are impassible terrain, requiring Climb checks to navigate, and provide cover. The squares with little bits of rock are difficult terrain. The object in the southwest corner of the map is the tree Aelgeirr hid behind, and provides cover.)

ROUND 1

20 - Shi, 15 damage
19 - Tawny
19 - Skirmisher 1
19 - Drake, 17 damage
18 - Skirmisher 2
17 - Skirmisher 3
9 - Isres
7 - Skirmisher 4
6 - Aelgeirr - pending 21 to attack with throwing axe, 9 damage
5 - Wyrmpriest
0 - Thork

--------------------

Shi manages to hit the drake with her shadowy dagger, delivering it a fierce wound!

The first kobold skirmisher advances towards Shi to close the distance, WHEN OUT OF FRIGGIN' NOWHERE COMES TAWNY AND HER BIG OL' HAMMER! It almost didn't see her except for the massive shadow cast upon him, causing it to screech in fear and barely dodge the blow! In a panic, it tries to thrust its spear at Tawny in retaliation, but the massive hammer being lifted back up denies it a clean shot at the Avenger.

The drake would grown then roar ferociously before charging at Shi, going around the combat in front of it to do so. It dives at her, sinking its jaws into her arm just after she catches the dagger, tearing into her flesh for 15 damage!

Two kobold skirmishers rush to engage the wizard Isres, nimbly running across the grass. There is a flurry of spear strikes at the wizard all anime-style-like, and he manages to nimbly dodge each blow like he was walking between raindrops.

Isres, you're up!

Aelgeirr, you're about ready to throw that axe!
PostPosted: Thu Dec 21, 2017 11:11 am
Isres quickly steps back away from the spears, raising his staff while muttering words of arcane power. Drawing a hand away from the staff, shadows stretch and drip between it and the staff, before he thrusts both hand and staff forward, flinging it at the skirmishers that attacked him. The shadows also cling to the ground, writhing and twisting with tentacles.

Shift to E-14.
Grasping Shadows at F-12.
Attack +5 vs Will... 8 to kobold 1, 23 to kobold 2.

Offhand it hits, 12 damage, targets are slowed.

Burst 1 on F-12 is covered in shadows til Isres's next turn.
Each creature that enters the zone takes psychic damage equal to your Intelligence modifier ( 3 ) and is slowed until the end of it's next turn.

ROUND 1

20 - Shi, 15 damage
19 - Tawny
19 - Skirmisher 1
19 - Drake, 17 damage
18 - Skirmisher 2, 12 damage
17 - Skirmisher 3
9 - Isres
GRASPING SHADOWS - Until round 2, anyone entering takes 3 damage and becomes slowed.
7 - Skirmisher 4
6 - Aelgeirr
5 - Wyrmpriest, 9 damage
0 - Thork

--------------------

((@ Raganui: Your spell targeted two kobold targets but you only rolled to hit versus one. You owe me one more d20 roll.))

Isres backed away and summoned forth a blot of inky darkness that flooded a small area with a thick, rolling fog of darkness. The kobolds swung their arms in panic, but it was unclear if they were harmed by it.

Another skirmisher rushes forth and charges Tawny! But my dice only hate Psychofish, and it misses the avenger by a considerable, almost laughable margin.

Aelgeirr, you finally have a clear shot! You loose your axe, and it hits the Wyrmpriest for 9 damage! It stumbles from the blow, but your axe vanishes and rematerializes in your hand. You have a move and minor action remaining!

Aelgeirr would sheathe the axe and draw his sword.

19 - Tawny

19 - Skirmisher 1, 5 temp HP
19 - Drake, 17 damage
18 - Skirmisher 2, 12 damage, 5 temp HP
17 - Skirmisher 3, 5 temp HP

7 - Skirmisher 4, 5 temp HP
6 - Aelgeirr, 5 damage
5 - Wyrmpriest, 9 damage, Incite used
0 - Thork

--------------------

Aelgeirr's handaxe returns to him, and he readies himself for more combat.

The priestly kobold hisses due to the wound delivered, and aims its staff at Aelgeirr, a bolt of fire manifesting in the air before it. It then launches forward, clipping Aelgeirr in the shoulder for 5 fire damage. The priest would then advance to its right, using the glob of darkness to break line of site between it and the high elf. "Kill the mammal-thots! Kill them! KILL THEM!" it croaks, inciting its fellow kobolds into a frenzy.

Shi, Tawny, you're up!

The thief cried out in pain as teeth sank into her arm, slamming her elbow between its eyes to loosened its grip and she could yank it free without ripping her own flesh off. Gritting her teeth she flipped the dagger about in her grip, spinning and hitting it repeatedly with the pommel on the sides of its skull before it could recover, beating it down to make herself a bit of space. When something caught her attention out the corner of her eye.

Shi's head turned, mouth opening slightly agape at the shadow rising from the ground, eyes big like an excited child- and then the pain in her arm brought her back to the moment. Right. She had big and ugly where she liked him for the moment- and he bit hard. No need to let him do it a second time.

[Dazing Strike: 22 vs Drake's AC, 9 Damage and Dazed UENT]

Flipping the dagger to her other hand, blade down, she made a series of swipes across its face and torso, trying to draw as much blood as she could without scaring it off- no, she wanted it bleeding out and angry, reckless, grinning at it past the blade held defensively in her hand.

[Action point!]
[Riposte Strike: 21 vs Drake's AC, 12 Damage]
[If the drake attacks Shi before the beginning of her next turn, she make make a Riposte against it as an Immediate Interrupt.]

Not wanting to put herself deeper into the thick of things with angry lizards on every side, she planted herself and waited for the wounded pet to give it another go.

Seeing rogue get rushed by the Drake Twany calls out her name "Shi!" Despite the two kolbolds in front of her Tawny takes an oath of enmity against the Drake. "Feel fear you overgrown lizard, for the might of Corellon will soon be upon you! Your destiny lies beneath my hammer!"

Tawny nimbly shifts around the kolbolds, denying then any chance of retaliation. She plants herself firmly behind the Drake, opposite of Shi and brings down her enormous ornate hammer with all her force on its spine.

Minor Action: Oath of Enmity against the Drake.

Standard Action: Angelic Alacirty
Tawny shifts to I10.
28 vs. AC against Drake, 22 damage on a hit.

Fending off the large lizard, Shi did her best to pry its jaws off, while getting some licks in herself. Her first strike bloodies and dazes the drake, while her second strike wounds it further, setting herself up for a counter attack.

Shaking its head, the drake would rear back on its haunches, and pounce at Shi! Readying her counter-attack, the rogue would KER-SPLAT!!

... get sprayed with reddish-purple goop as a massive hammer replaced where the drake was a moment ago. And with that, Tawny would skip away~

The skirmisher that was being grasped inappropriately by shadows would continue its advance, thrusting its spear wildly in Isres, until one of the thrusts managed to graze the wizard's leg for 7 damage!

One skirmisher squeaked when it saw Tawny advance on the priest, and nimbly leapt at the opportunity to defend its leader. While Tawny's back was turned, it would land a critical sneak attack with its spear, thrusting it into Tawny's lower back for 14 damage!

The other shadowed kobold would move to attack as well, but its vision clouded made it hard to land a similar precision strike himself, especially with Tawny's newfound awareness of herself getting flanked. Its own strike would go wide.

Isres! You're up!

The wizard would cry out in pain at the cutting strike, stumbling back away from the kobolds. Lifting his staff forward, Isres growled and started gathering shadows and darkness to it. "You pathetic thing!" And slamming the staff down into the ground. Suddenly, the shadows he had left behind struck out with hands and blades towards the kobold that attacked him in an ambush!

Shift to D-15.
Cast Illusory Ambush on Kobold at F-13.

Isres continued to backpedal, though he grew frustrated at his implement and starting roughing it up. Triggered by its abusive cue, it would conjure shadows to pass on further abuse towards the nearby kobold. The cycle of violence continues, leaving the kobold bloodied.

The remaining kobold spear-wielder would rush Shi, though it would find the ground around the crater that used to be a drake a but unwieldy, and it would stumble, not managing to score a hit with its attack.

Because Aelgeir's player has problems mathing properly, Aelgeir will move up to F14 and smack at skirmisher 2.

Results:
Attack: 9+8=17
Damage: 5+7=12

19 - Tawny, 21 damage, Bloodied

19 - Skirmisher 1, 5 temp HP
19 - Drake
18 - Skirmisher 2
17 - Skirmisher 3, 5 temp HP

7 - Skirmisher 4, 5 temp HP
6 - Aelgeirr, 5 damage
5 - Wyrmpriest, 9 damage, Incite used
0 - Thork

--------------------

Aelgeirr would move up to engage one of the kobolds, seeing his arcane ally being assaulted. The foe was already wounded, and all it took was a single, determined strike to end its life!

Backing away from Tawny surprisingly quickly, it would aim its staff at the avenger and conjure forth another small ball of flame. It would hit her in the abdomen, detonating with a hot blunt force, dealing 7 damage and bloodying her! The priest would then back up further along the boulder, leaving Shi's line of sight.

Shi, Tawny, you're up!

Left alone with one of the scaled creatures again, Shi spun the dagger around her hand, thinking of how to get the upperhand while the thing was watching her directly, but like it or not, it wasn't giving her any openings, and she didn't know what to count on from the mage and the elf.

Which was when she heard the sounds of pain from the other woman.

Tawny had already had her back once, and now it looked like it was her turn. With a short glare and sound of disgust at the kobold minding her, Shi straight up turned her back to it- dashing to the side, slowing on the rough footing to slip in behind one of the kobolds watching the avenger. Before it could turn around to look at the shifting stones, she stabbed at it's back- slipping off balance on the loose stones while she did, but twisting her dagger even as she caught balance, hoping she could draw some blood and make enough pain to dull its blade for a few moments.

User Image Realizing she might have been a little too ambitious earlier in chasing down the priest, Tawny hunkers down and attempts to fend off her tiny attackers. "Ha, do not think for am moment these wounds have dishearten me. My zeal for Corellon is beyond any scratches your pathetic blades can inflict. Your end still waits beneath my hammer."

Standard Action: Second Wind , +9 HP, +2 to all defenses until the end of Tawny's next turn)
