_"I don't know what all...this means..." she said quietly to Kate and Sciurus, motioning to the logo on the ship, "But this person must be from the same planet as Arron. Question is, should we trust them...?" She didn't know too much about his homeland, its government or sanctions, if you will, so she had little to go by. Unfortunately her instincts were terribly vague on the subject as the uneasy feeling never once left her stomach since the explosion. It seemed her guiding voice was rattled..."So, Is this an ordinary weapons deal, or the after-party to a successful kill?" Solsi spun around, frowning. "We didn't kill anyone." she said curtly, insulted at the very notion. "And who wants to know?" It was a person she never met before, standing up and calling them out. It was unclear how he even felt about it...for all she knew he was in favor of the job done on Arron. Well, there was only one of two ways it could go...one that brought them closer to finding their missing friend, or one that put a target on their backs. She glared at the stranger, energy frazzled and ready to draw out her wand if need be.OOC: She is wearing a very official magical girl uniform sir, thank you. XD

Ru flashed a smirk at the... mage(?) in front of him and made a quick danger assessment. Seeing as she was glowing and not running for him with one of the lead/laser-throwers from the strange ship nearby, he relocked his iron, yet kept his standoffish pose. "Well to be honest, you don't really look like you have killed anybody, ever." He added with a raising of an eyebrow. "I however have, but this doesn't seem to be the time or place for it. I am a mercenary, I have become stationed here due to... circumstances. Basically, I am a gun for hire, and with that detonation a while ago, it seems that my talents may be of some use. I am no threat to you, unless someone paid me to be."His expression faltered a bit. "I assure you that would not be the case. Mostly due to the fact that I have had no work since I arrived here to this crazy planet. Therefor, I am in need of someone in need. Plus you don't look like you blow people up for a living, so maybe we could help each other? He let his arms slack and cross over his gun-belt. OOC: The accent of his is close to Russian. And your Magical Girl uniform is quite spiffy might I add.

"I was beginning to wonder that," she whispered back. "They recognized the ring pendant I'm holding on. Maybe it's someone Arron knows?"
Before she could continue with that thought, a male voice startled her from behind. She turned to see someone approaching them. A mercenary, apparently. She immediately spotted the strangers holster. Looks like he was already presenting his firepower. How did they find them?
A gun for hire? She continued to wonder as he talked, but the mage eventually spoke up. "You'll need to look elsewhere for a job then. We have enough power here."

Demons and shadow monsters no sweat, but guns... "We're all friends here...and unless that means something to you...I think we'll be okay on our own." She was wary to put her trust into anyone who would help them one day and turn on them the next, so as long as money was involved. OOC: Arigato. ^^

(Rodger that m'dear! heart ) Grabbing the lady's hand, she quickly led her over the rubble and debris to where she had spotted the others go through the hatch, leading to the mess-work that was the service tunnel. After the initial shock of finding the ever increasing blood trail, they followed it to the joining hatch in the ceiling. The smaller girl scrambled up the ladder, head peeking around before crawling out of the opening and motioned for Sweet to follow her up. Where they had to go next...was a mystery. (Where we go next is up to you! They weren't there to know the direction of the warehouse. OwO)

He looked at the two mages in front of him, both looked ready to cast something probably really terrible at him. He sheepishly runs one hand through his mohawk and rests it on his neck. "Look, I often speak with my foot in my mouth, and speaking of feet, I believe we are stepping off on the wrong one. He takes a deep breath and levels his gaze with the two spell-casters. "My name is Ru. I may be a mercenary, but it is only my tools and my talents that I put up for sale. My honor, however is non-negotiable. I take contracts that do more good than harm. I serve no corrupt royal family, and am not in the suicide division of the military anymore. I choose what I use my guns for now, and if that means to help a few people out who look like they are gearing up for heavy combat, then so be it. He scuffs one of his mechanical legs in the dirt beneath him. "You have no reason to trust me, but should you wish to strike me, I will not draw on you, nor your mysterious sniper friend. Here." The merc raises his hands, lowers his mask, and makes a small bow. OOC: I hope I have enough paragon points for this. I forgot about the avatar etiquette, Ru's gun is away now sweatdrop .

_Solsi tilted her head a little, taking everything he said into consideration and wondering if, perhaps, she'd be wise to see him in a slightly different way, at least for now. "Ru-kun..." she said quietly, trying to commit the name to memory. She took a step forward, wand in one hand, compass in the other. Then, with a brisk twirl the wand vanished, leaving only an empty palm extended to him. "Solsi." she said, introducing herself and ready to shake his hand. "Nice to meet you."OOC: ~

Ru blinked in shock,and he hesitated a bit, before he took the mages hand to give it a friendly shake. "I must say I am honestly relieved, Solsi." His tongue struggled to pronounce it correctly. Two out of five, those were better odds. Usually the offer ended up in him getting shot. A look of relief crossed his face, grateful that the mage was willing to give him a chance. He released her hand and straightened up, his fist to his shoulder and giving a quick nod. "I give my word, I will assist you any way I can." He paused for a moment, giving Solsi rueful glance. "And no disrespect to your uniform. It is just that the last guys who tried to kill me were kitted in powered armor." A slight shiver went through him, bad memories not long buried.

_While she tried to maintain a good poker face during such uncertain times, she couldn't help but smile when it seemed an understanding was reached. "That's right, Solsi." she replied encouragingly, sensing his effort to say it right in his accent.
...that last part though caught her slightly off guard. Solsi's eyes blinked widely. "My uniform...?" She pinched a pleat of her skirt and lifted it a little, studying it under a more discriminating eye. "What's wrong with my uniform?" she muttered quietly. She was so confused why he brought that up. "Just shootin' in the dark here but...you're...not from around here...are ya?" '>.>OOC: I'm a little confused myself, was he talking about Solsi's uniform? Heh, will edit if needed.

Their now very heavily armed companion was watching quietly as the trio spoke with the mercenary.
"That's all fine & dandy." they said before training a pistol on Ru, "However, I'm not taking chances. This is way too convenient after I've been chasing your friends for the past three months & they beat me here to m-the mechanic. Now you show up? I should just drop you now."
Their comrade seemed to be very paranoid of the newcomer.
(OMG, I'm so sorry guys I've been super super busy with finishing up finals & moving back home. DX )

"Well what I meant was..." He trailed off as he was interrupted, by their now quite belligerent looking companion. Ru, no stranger to the scene rapidly playing out before him knew this may just be his last minute alive. His expression belied all apprehension, save for a narrowing of his red eyes. "Cool your jets, exactly who do you think I work for?" His mind raced and thought of his options. The trigger on his iron was still accessible even if it was holstered. First things first though, he moved to the left of Solsi in a glide that seemed unnatural for his augmentations, mostly removing her from the immediate line of fire. "Have you ever heard of a place called Cartiaia? I hail from there, and I'll tell you one thing, friend, I ain't never seen a ship, or a gun like yours." He positioned his legs shoulder width apart, right hand coming to rest on the handle of his favorite "tool of the trade". "I'm new in town, friend, got here last month." Turning his head slightly to fix his targeting eye on the stranger he icily added "Besides, If I wanted to kill you, I'da already put a supercharged round in your back and made off 'fore you hit the ground, friend. What's it gonna take to stop the death threats around here?" He waited for a response in full dueling poise, unsure of what to expect next... OOC: Have you not been in magical girl state since the blast site? Did I miss that? But to answer, NO-ONE even comes close to what she loooks like in his whole home universe. hence the confuzzles.

_When the stuff started to hit the fan Solsi held a hand out toward the hooded stranger as if to say, 'Hey cool it...it's fine...' Then when Ru shifted position and took a ready stance she held a hand out in his direction too - though it seemed to do little good to ease tensions building in the room. "N-no need to call each other out now... I...ah...oh jeez...it's like a space western show down..." emotion_sweatdrop She didn't know either of them well enough to really truly vouch for...but she knew finger pointing likely wasn't the answer. Her eyes shifted between them nervously, hoping their mysterious hooded companion would lower the pistol.OOC: She was always a magical girl in this rp, in her normal state my post isn't a cloud and I refer to her as Sammy. Maybe I just read things funny. My bad... ^^'
